I recently stayed at Hotel Roses Platja and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I asked for the price of a 2-night stay and was told it would be €530. However, online prices clearly showed around €180 for the same dates. When I pointed this out and booked online instead, Fatima at the reception suddenly stopped mentioning the higher price she had given me. She claimed she knew nothing about the online prices, which was frustrating and unprofessional.
Additionally, due to a booking error, only one guest was listed instead of two. There was no price difference online, but the hotel still charged us an extra €44 at the reception for the second person. It felt like they were trying every possible way to get more money out of us.
The room itself was not worth the money. It didn’t smell fresh and was quite basic. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location – very central and close to the beach. But overall, I would not recommend staying here, especially considering how they treat their guests and handle pricing.

Toen ik dit aangaf en in plaats daarvan online boekte, stopte Fatima bij de receptie plotseling met het noemen van de hogere prijs die ze me had gegeven. Ze beweerde dat ze niets wist van de online prijzen, wat frustrerend en onprofessioneel was.
Bovendien stond er door een boekingsfout maar één gast vermeld in plaats van twee. Er was online geen prijsverschil, maar het hotel rekende ons bij de receptie toch € 44 extra voor de tweede persoon. Het voelde alsof ze op alle mogelijke manieren probeerden om ons meer geld afhandig te maken.
De kamer zelf was het geld niet waard. Hij rook niet fris en was vrij basic. Het enige positieve aan dit hotel is de locatie: zeer centraal en dicht bij het strand. Maar over het algemeen zou ik niet aanraden hier te verblijven, vooral gezien hoe ze hun gasten behandelen en met hun prijzen omgaan.

If you are tired of white walled, cold boutique hotels stay at this old style hotel that feels comfortable to be in. Clean, spacious rooms, close to bus stop from Barcelona and central. The area is peaceful, not full of noise. Direct access to the beach through their garden out front which has shaded areas to relax when the sun is too much. Tree lined sea views are amazing from the front rooms with balcony, allowing the sound of the sea to enter your room. The moon shines right in front of the hotel casting a lovely light on the sea below. Good value buffet and breakfast. It was easy for me to eat even though I have intolerances and eat no animal except fish. They are helpful when you tell them your food needs. Say hello to the cleaners, they are a nice bunch. 99% of the workers are kind, sensitive and friendly. Really nice to see a diverse group of workers too. Love the music in the lifts, which are old but totally add to the charm of this building and are fast. Totally recommend this hotel. Great price/value. :) I think I've found my place to keep coming back every year.

Lovely hotel. Nice location. Very relaxing peaceful atmosphere. Unfortunately the aircon was not activated and the rooms were quite hot but everything else was nice.

A great traditional hotel, stayed here a couple of times now and enjoyed the location right on the beach. The colleagues are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very traditional, sadly the AC is central so a poor flow, fridge don’t really chill and the bathroom is still little dated for the modern traveller. However I often hop down to Roses and would stay here again.

Very good place, one week of relax and the view is like the heaven , very healthy food , and very good staff!! Every thing was so nice that it make me just want to back to roses hotel on my next holiday! I recommend this place 🙏🙏

Super hotel quality price nothing to say except to improve It remains to review the bathrooms Damaged tiles Shower head that does not hold, shower curtain askew. To finish the restoration there is not too much choice. But duck breast all I recommend this hotel.
