Prestige Goya Park

Unfortunately, probably the worst hotel I experienced in long time. Reception staff speaks very little English (even words like key, storage were difficult for them to understand). The carpets stained, interiors worn out.
Our room had NO AIRCON just a ceiling fan. The street in front of the hotel is very busy till late evening. Maybe it was only our bad luck, there were motorbike engines running till 1am.

The hotel probably will find its clients. If you prefer low price and you are willing to sacrifice quality. The pool was crowded most of the times.

I must admit that I booked the hotel 2 nights before our arrival and our room was one of very few rooms available in Roses.

Only the staff are saved, very polite and courteous and smiling (almost all of them), everything else went wrong. The hotel is a 1970s building, so the rooms are dated and poorly equipped. I could hear the neighbors talking and walking, let's say the soundproofing is light years away from this place.I asked for a quiet room and was given a room just above the bar, where live music is played until midnight. The buffet food is bad, there are no tags that explain what is in the serving dishes and then you go by chance: everything is overcooked and dull. But the worst thing is that I made a mistake, when booking (2 am on Sunday night), I booked 2 rooms instead of just one. Speaking with the reception staff I explained that, obviously, being alone, it was a mistake and I asked, please, to cancel one of the 2 reservations without penalty, I have not been on vacation for 9 years, I allowed myself these 3 nights, finally, and I made a mistake. Long story short, I was charged 50% of the incorrect booking amount.Now, we're not talking about machines and logarithms here, we're talking about humans who decided to make me pay for that mistake: I work in the tourism sector myself. but, first of all, I am a human being and I know how to split between the professional and the emotional. Last but not least: booking had assured me that the data entered on my credit card would be deleted on the day of check out., 5 days later, I found myself charged on the card of the famous 50% of the second booking. Hence, little humanity on the part of the hotel and lies on the part of booking.

Reception was quite rude and offered the wrong information without hesitation. Rooms have no air-conditioning and no refrigerator. Room temperature was too hot for a good night's sleep. The internet connection was not sized properly, so was not working most of the time. Staff was generally uninterested. English was a challenge. Although a large customer-base being Dutch/Flemish none of the people taking care of the children spoke Dutch. The location however is great (close to the beach, walking distance to Roses). Food was OK, but I would recommend breakfast only and enjoy the Roses restaurants and nightlife.

Huge hotel among many other hotels. The rooms are old fashioned and some have no AC which is intolerable in summer. Not all staff speaks English. Positive note is the garden with two pools (one small for kids), sun beds and tables.
