The Loft rooms across the street from the main hotel are very nice—modern and spacious. And the lounge in the center of that area is gorgeous and restful. It is fun to check out the lovely sauna lounge there outside the saunas too. The desk staff at the main hotel are highly trained and work hard to assist with reservations and any questions. One even managed to get me a same-day dental appointment...
Stylish, clean hotel with friendly staff and scrumptious breakfast. Highly recommended!
We spent our wedding night in this hotel. The room was exactly how we wished and very classy. The hotel had taken into account our special day and there were towelswans, sparkling wine and creeting card awaiting us in the room. Myself and my bride were extremely impressed. The room was very clean, stylish and felt luxurious and unique. The staff was extremely nice and it was super easy to arrange...
Ok hotel for good location, in the city centre. Car parking was two different building, also rooms is two different buildings, staff OK, breakfast OK and large, many choices, room ok,we have quite big room for oval window. Hoten is heart of Lahti city, You can easily walking around and see city.
Deffinitely you should choose room from Loft house. Unique rooms, inside garden with fountain. So beaugiful details. Hotels breakfast is also very good.
A very nice Hotel for a reasonable price, in the center of Lahti. Parking was a bit tricky, because at the parking garage I was searching for the Sokos Logo on the signs, which are in fact very tiny on the bottom on the signs saying Seurahuone. But a lot of space in there!
The Hotel itself seems to be well maintained and rooms are good and pretty quiet. The Bathroom war very nice!
The breakfast has...

We spent one night, and the hotel has everything that is needed. The room was comfortable, bright and well-equipped. Breakfast is good (as always in Scandic hotels), and it is possible to find any type of breakfast (cereals, sandwiches, fruits, etc). The room is very clean.
The hotel is in good location and staff were nice. However the hotel clearly needs renovation. The room was okay but nothing special. There was not any good view from the window. I had extra bed in the room, but it was so uncomfortable that sleeping in it was really horrible. The breakfast was good and i have nothing bad to say about it. Whem I visit Lahti again I will definitely choose another hotel...
The room was tidy and the breakfast was decently good. However, the air-conditioning didn't work properly and it was very hot and humid inside. The staff tried to help, which was nice, but overall there are better Scandics I've stayed at. Overall very average experience.
Stayed one night here before the Finlandia Ski Marathon. Entering the hotel is like going back to the 80's when you look at the interior. Everything was nice and clean though, service was friendly and breakfast very good, so quite an OK experience for the price you pay.
Nothing to complain, easy acces with good location, staff were nice. Breakfast is versatile, parking is made easy and location is good. Hotel building is quite old but the place and rooms are clean. We enjoyed out stay, i would recommend this hotel.
its okay hotel, have seen better but considering the place and price its decent

Good service, but the rooms are quite basic. There is no Smart TV or fridge, and no shampoo products are provided. The walls are thin. The location was fine for us. However, the parking space is small and not included in the price (14€/day). Self check-in was available, and the doors worked fine outside of service hours.
The bed is a little softer than other hotels, and the pillows are looser. Apart from these two points, there are basically no flaws. We did not buy breakfast, which is on the second floor and cannot be seen. The front desk in the lobby helped us print our boarding passes, and there is free coffee and tea, and a microwave.
Very nice atmosphere. Stuff is very nice and helpful.
Only breakfast could be more varied. I miss soft boiled eggs:(
The rooms were quite small but totally accomodating for a 1-2 person stay! I love that they gave an option to have your room cleaned or untouched if you're staying more than onee night.
We notes that the walls were a bit thin though as we could hear videos pur neigbours were playing and talking.
The staff was great at the location and helped us a bunch with any questions or concerns we had.
The location...
Good for one night stay. Really basic, offering only bed and breakfast. Rooms quite small, not possible to open windows. Quite expensive for such a standard. For 10€ more you can have much better stay at Sokos or Scandic.
This is an old hotel, because the air condition is bad and you have an extra fan in the room. The switches to the bed lamps were missing and one bed was moving and squeaking. This are basic features that should always work.
The scrambled eggs were like a hard omlette. Otherwise, it was an ok breakfast.
It is ok to be green, but don't be stupid. The key-cards should not be covered in wood. They felt...

Mukkulan Kartano
Lahti, Niemenkatu 30, 15240 Lahti, Finland 🧭 Map
Perfect spot for a stress-free weekend at the beach without the crazed tourist crowds. Amazing views, delightful set ups, just too slow service. But again... It's meant to be a stress-free staying, so... Four stars
Just walked in the lobby to take a look and got lots of information and a bit of history as well as a good look at the common areas.
The Mukkulan Kartano area is one of the more iconic locations to visit outside the Lahti center, and namely provides tennis courts, campfire sites, two beaches, a volleyball court, a sauna and playground all situated around the historical Mukkulan Kartano manor.
A great place to go sunbathing on a summer day or just adventuring around on any day, the manor itself also acts as a hotel, conference place...
We had a First of May brunch there, and really enjoyed the stylish place and the tasty food. My only critical comment is that the music played there didn't suit the place at all - it was some kind of pop music, sounded as if there was a radio hidden in the fireplace, the music came out from a very small area (instead of the normal way when you feel it comes from "everywhere") and the style just didn...
Beautiful location and buildings. Sauna area was very nice. We had a good time with engineer association.

Vähintäänkin freesaava pintaremontti olisi mielestäni paikallaan, nostaisi mm.viihtyvyyttä. Plussaa sopivasta sijainnista, ilmaisesta aamupalasta ja paikoituksesta.
decent place to stay. price is nice
Value for money, good breakfast, good sana and nice staff!
Nice hotel, clean rooms with everything you need (even hairdryer) and comfortable beds. Good breakfast every day.
Amazing staff. 5 stars for staff.
The rooms was very hot and there was no possibility to decrease the temparture in the room. Luckliy there was a small fan but the windows could not be open a lot to let any of the rather cool air outside in..
Basic but very clean and convenient budget hotel with good breakfast in the middle of town. Definitely not luxurious but perfectly adequate for a few nights' stay.

Apartments are clean and nice. A little bit old looking. There are microwave, iron, fan and fridge in the room. Very small bathroom, it is like in Singapore if you book 100$ room. I booked one night through booking. Unfortunately there is no have a warning about card payment accepted only! And that breakfast starts in 10 am on Sunday (it's too late)
Affordable accommodation and usually quite quiet.

Lahti, Moisionkatu 4 B, 15100 Lahti, Finland 🧭 Map
Little Tundra is a nice and cosy place to get an authentic Finish living experience. It is adjoining the Lahti Railway station. Love the owner's hospitality.
Best place in Lahti you can stay from my experience. Service is impeccable, the rooms (they are more like indoor shacks of a sort) are absolutely gorgeous. The staff is very friendly, there's a couple of adorable dogs living here (should be ok if you are slightly allergic).
They have a community kitchen and all. The location isn't immediately in the centrum of Lahti but you can walk there in a matter...
Very cozy guesthouse right next to the bus and train station. Comfortable wooden "huts" as rooms and all the necessary comforts from showers and kitchen to tv and living room. Good service and especially nice mood and decor. We stayed when it was otherwise empty, the only problem I could see if other guests were loud the rooms aren't very sound proof. All around lovely place close to the center yet...
Perfect location when you arrive in Lahti by train or bus. Six cosy and small cabins with shared bathrooms are squeezed into a large old factory. The inexpensive room we selelected had no windows, and the airconditioning was not able to cool the overheated cabin, thus sleeping was hard. But the very friendly staff gave us the studio, a spacious room with shower and even Sauna, so we we're very pleased...

Visited for a convention. My only complaint was that the swimming pools were really cold
Lovely place to stay at a fantastic location with amazing views and a remarkable staff that was always kind, welcoming, and wonderful to chat with. Gym had all necessary equipment. Breakfast was complete and fantastic. It is a 70's building, but that doesn't stop it from being a great place to stay at. Second time here, and will come back.
Nice to have the gym and sauna facilities. Breakfast was good and the staff spoke perfect English. Plenty of parking.
We got to walk on a Frozen lake which was awesome
Being a hotel from the 70's, this is place is pretty decent - not great, not terrible. Biggest pluses being the location, the view and the swimming pool with a sauna. Breakfast is ok and the staff is friendly and helpful! The gym is a plus as well.
The rooms are a bit outdated and slightly stuffy, but not something you can't cope with, unless you're used to 5-star bling bling hotels.
I have been here many times durin past decates. It is actually nice that it havnt change so much. Really retro.
A real 70's vintage feel gives the famous Vääksy hotel a peculiar charm. It has a well-stocked bar and offers a good lunch table. On weekends, well-known artists and bands are performing. The entrance fee is moderate. It's also a great place for meetings and seminars.

Great option!
Picked the place because of the location. Great option! I was only guest in this small hotel and got VIP-treating. very quiet area. actually really nothing nearby....so it was excellent sleep. Great breakfast, parking right next to the entrance. What else can you wish!
Nice
A Nice place to stay. Clean and perfect service.
The small hotel was very cozy, the service excellent, a gluten-free breakfast was available on request, it was really quiet, a small playground for the children.
Same price for rooms of different sizes.
2 single beds and TV Does not work (cord disconnected !!!) 2to room insufficient. Toilet + shower really small compare double room for 2 people etc.
No service in the evening (bar, food) to the center 6km. Breakfast was good and the bistro was nice
Very comfortable accommodation for the price. Due to the corona situation, I have not experienced the inn’s restaurant services. Sound insulation between rooms is low. I wake up in the morning to the alarm clock in the next room.
Would love to come back here anytime

Beautiful place. Great food. High comfort in cottages. We have been in 3 different ones and from the smallest to the biggest all of them were clean, cozy. With sauna and jacuzzi, fireplace. There is kitchen Whit all basics which you need for cooking. And owner is charming enthusiastic and open-minded man. It always was a pleasure to stay here and with our two kids we had all what we needed to spend...
Lovely host with superb quality accommodation
Out of this world. The views, silence are just spectacular. And the logistics and facilities at this place are WOW - not to mention the food!

We visited the spa complex. Four types of saunas, a salt room, a relaxation area, a large pool, a jacuzzi, and a bar. There is a summer terrace with a lake view. I recommend this place.
A good place for a one-time visit, a spa restaurant and a hotel, of the inconveniences I can note a small jacuzzi in which there is a constant queue, but overall not bad
Dated rooms but very clean. Friendly service, but skeleton crew so some waiting.
UPD from 2025:
I gave it 5 stars because of amazing view and swimming experience in July. When it is hot, this is really a gem.
But the breakfast is still very modest:)
2024:
Overall it was a good experience. We visited the hotel in April 2024. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but it is OK.
The greatest advantage is the view and the fact that the balcony is very close to the water. Also it was...

Went there for the first time and was not dissapointted. The staff was polite (by finnish standards) and the had everything a person could ask in one stay. We had a cottage for us six. Two adults and four kids. The cottage had toilet, tv, gas grill (gas paid extra by the day), fridge, microwaveowen and dish set. At the camp site there were four sauna's. Three electric and one smokesauna. The lake had...
Beautiful place, an island in the middle of the clean lake Ruotsalainen. Camping spots are on the grass or the gravel and separated with hedgerows which gives privacy , too. You can get a spot with own lakeside terrace if you’re willing to pay a little extra. It’s worth it. The staff is very friendly and sanitary facilities are tidy. There’s a small restaurant in the area where you can buy fast food...
Great campsite for an overnight stay.
Can rent sup, sauna available (free in the morning), playground.
Can get noisy during the day due to highway bridge
Very cozy, quite small camping site. Caravan spots are great - they are surrounded by nature. We mostly spend nights outside of camping/caravan sites, but during every trip there’s at least one stop in a camping site. This camping has a sauna designed by a Japanese architect and it’s very beautiful although a bit worn. Perhaps that makes it even more beautiful. This was the icing on the cake during...
Awesome place. Everything what should be on a camping is there. ☺️🥰

Quiet and clean place. Breakfast in the fridge and coffee maker ready. Close to the shooting range, which is a good thing.
This was a bit difficult to evaluate due to its specificity. In principle, four stars would also be justified, but based on our own experience, we rate it, so yes, it deserves five stars based on this visit.
I had to visit Hotel Valo many times, but now it finally came true. It was quite easy to book the room online and the payment had to be made immediately.
