Bayeux, 117 Rue Saint Patrice 🧭 Map
Very friendly staff. The room and amenities were great. My kids loved the pool. They had a fire outside at night. The only thing that the menu is very limited inside the restaurant and thought it was expensive for just family of 4.
Pierre at the front desk took care of all my requests and even set the temperature in the room in advance so it would be comfortable when I arrived late. He was friendly and knowledgeable and helpful.
The room had all the amenities I needed and I slept very well. Easy 10 minute walk into town.
The Novotel hotel was clean and good for a quick stop. The rooms are quite small and the bathrooms even smaller. The showers don’t have enough height and the toilet room was very hard to enter it was quite small. If you’re staying here. Better to stay in town. Atleast it is picturesque. It’s a very small town too. Rouen is best for the area. Good thing it has air conditioning. But it’s controlled...
First trip to France by car, the hotel was clean and staff were excellent, being very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice was very good and meals in the restaurant are good value.
Hotel is in a great location with just a short walk to centre of Bayeux, and very central for visiting the key Normandy battlefield sites.
I stayed at the Novotel Bayeux with a group of colleagues whilst conducting a battlefield tour of the Normandy areas.
The rooms were lovely, very nice bedding and great room temperature. Very quiet and peaceful sleeping. Lots of parking.
The restaurant was very good and the quality and value of the meals was fantastic. I wish I could have stayed longer to make use of the pool. 15 minute walk into historic...
A wonderful Valentine's Day weekend with a lovely surprise upon our arrival. Little Leonidas chocolates, two swans made with towels and a beautiful rose. A friendly, welcoming welcome, spacious room and impeccable cleanliness.

Good value, clean and tidy, friendly hosts.
Lovely Hotel with clean and comfortable rooms!
Clean and tidy. Very helpful owner. Situated very close to town, the Cathedral, Bayeux Tapestry, D Day museum and CW Graves all within easy walking distance.
The hotel was close to food and bakery. We had the top room which was recently refurbished and it held 4 guests. The gentlemen was very friendly and helped us book restaurants (la pompier or something) we used bayeux as a base to see normandy. Very good value and 2 stars. The surrounding neighbourhood was quiet.
Great night's sleep in a clean and charming room. The host spoke English well and was relaxed and friendly. Also a wealth of local and historical information. Breakfast with lots of coffee was wonderful. Bayeux is a nice town.

This is a lovely hotel and the location is great. It is walkable to many restaurants and shops. The staff at check in were very friendly. There are some parking spaces available for guests.
The restaurant for dinner was superb. Lots of very innovative takes on dishes and service was top notch.
Breakfast at hotel was pretty terrible. Everything was very undercooked and the eggs were truly inedible...
This hotel is lovely!!! Service exceptional!! I had such a nice room that looked on the courtyard. I gave four stars to room because is there is no air conditioning. The room does come with a fan and bayeux usually cool outside so the windows open were lovely! The location is amazing as it is an easy 5-10 minute walk to any sight. Literally right on Rue St Jean--the street with all the shops and...
Great experience at this hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and clean, comfy rooms! One thing to be wary of is that there is no elevator so if you are older or less abled it will be hard to get your luggage to your room.
It’s a lovely place the staff is responsive. There is no elevator so if you’re tired or carrying packages, get ready for a climb up narrow and winding stairs. The room was more spacious than our other rooms so a big plus. And the bathroom was also very nice. If you have an early tour you have to rush through breakfast because the restaurant doesn’t open till 7. The location in town is excellent. You...
Amazing hotel! The location, the building, the rooms, the breakfast, restaurant and especially the PEOPLE! Everyone was so nice and so professional! Some names I remember are Virginie, Anne Laur, Lucy, Antonin and four or five more whose names I unfortunately can’t remember. Sorry :( I would love to come back. What a treat. Stay here and you’ll be very happy you did.
Great location near the old town and was greeted well by the staff and offered map and even shown us to our room and explain the room in detail which is a first for us.
Well located in the middle of town. Close to restaurants and museums. Clean and well equipped. Lionel was very helpful.

Grand Hotel "Château de Sully" - Piscine et Spa
Bayeux, 1 route de Vaux-sur-Aure 🧭 Map
My favorite hotel in the region and my favorite massage specialist in this hotel
We just stayed here for one night, and I wish we could have extended our stay. We are traveling with our six children, and the family suite was perfect for us. Spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. We had a drink last evening in the bar, and there is a nice separate game room where the children played chess and cards. Breakfast was generous and a lovely spread...
This is a dinner only review.
It was our first experience at a Michelin Star restaurant and boy did we have a good time. First off we where offered time for cocktails in the atrium. I would recommend this since they offer free canapés with your drinks.
My wife ordered the red apple and I choose the complete menu. The portions where a little bigger with the reduced menu but not by much. Our waiter...
The place looks very pretty, the lady who helps out with breakfast was the sweetest. Breakfast is good for a good price. Now, the whole place needs a deep clean and some love.. there’s no AC or fans.. and even though we were lucky to stay with fair weather, it’s summer time and the sun is not gone until after 10 pm. The sun would heat up our room.. we had to keep the windows open all the way and it...
We organised a tour in Normandy with Chateau De Sully as our base for 3 nights, 4 days. Due to the staff shortage in the area they are running with a very small team but what a great team of staff they have! The staff worked very hard and were very polite and helpful. Maryline in the back office was very responsive and helpful. Greg and the rest of the front office staff could not have done more...
Was an amazing experience and great base to stay while checking out the surrounding area. Very peaceful and calming. The food was excellent and the service superb. I'll be back eventually in my lifetime.

Grand Hôtel du Luxembourg & Spa

Hotel & Spa du Luxembourg
Our room was sufficient size for 2 travelers. However, we had 2 issues, one minor the second significant. First, the pillows were small and every time we turned over, we had to wake up enough to adjust our pillows. More problematic was the safety issue with the tub/shower facilities. As seniors, we found getting in and out of the tub/shower unsettling as the level of...
This is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff, the rooms and the breakfast were all amazing and I will stay here on my next trip to Bayeux.
Normandy stay
Used this hotel to visit ww2 sites , excellent location , quiet and staff was excellent
Lovely hotel. Quadruple room actually had a double and two singles, which is quite unusual in France, I've found. Pool and hot tub both great. Good valua spa access for residents. Free parking available 2 min walk up the road. Great stay - thanks!
Ooh Lala so lovely.
We absolutely loved our stay at this intimate and lovely hotel. The staff was so friendly and had wonderful recommendations for restaurants and directions to attractions.
The only problem for me was the lighting in our room was so dim it was hard to do my face. We will definitely be back if possible!
Pros: great staff; convenient location; big corner room with 3 windows and ability to get a cross breeze; nespresso machine and nespresso-branded pods in the room; comfortable bed
Cons: dated and not what you would expect for a 4-star hotel. Our room was located up a narrow flight of stairs (no elevator) that smelled musty at the top and in the hall; from our room we could hear everyone going up and...

The Garden Hotel was very welcoming, and the rooms were huge.
Spacious and comfortable rooms at a very reasnoable price, only a short drive from central Bayeux.
Lovely chateau outskirts if Bayeux.
We had a fantastic stay at the hotel and the 3 course evening meal snd cocktails was a lovely addition to the stay. Location to Bayeux town centre was really close and within easy walking distance. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
The shower need a squeegee or secondary drain for the excess water that formed outside the shower area.
The room was comfy and well stocked for our stay, however!
Maybe it just was a bad day to be there. If you don't want to fight the hectic town, this location is great. But, the free breakfast advertised by ******* was refused to be honored by the front desk. He was rude to us and was working both the desk and the bar. His idea of a whiskey "pour" was let me put as little in the glass as i possibly can, and then quote "thats the rule" when questioned. Interesting...

Location workef great and comfortable rooms. Strange layouts with tri-level floors. Bed and toilet on first floor, shower/sinks on second, and other bed on third. We didnt use restaurant so can't comment. For basic needs and location it worked for us, but wouldn't consider a 4 star hotel.

The Hotel was a very good place for us to relax. Convenient to everything and with a helpful and welcoming staff.
Be aware this is a historic hotel. The rooms can be quite small depending upon your assigned room please alert the hotel when you book if you have disabilities or need a walk-in shower there are a few available.
A nonslip mat was not available for the shower tub combination. This is a soaker tub, very deep and required my presence in the shower for my husband to get in and out safely. The lighting...
Located at the center of the charming town Bayeux. Very lovely hotel and with very friendly staff speaks English well
Our stay at the family owned Churchill Hotel was awesome. Our room was very spacious with all the amenities that you would expect from a first class hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Staff assisted with great dinner reservations. If we return to Bayeux, we would stay again.
Good location with close parking. Clean, friendly. Some stairs. No elevator a bit pricey. Would definitely recommend
Quaint little hotel. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. *No elevators / lift*. You can walk to it from the train sttion, but be aware of the cobble roads....

Perfectly placed if you wish to visit the WW2 Normandy sites. Clean rooms, helpful staff, very nice place to stay considering it was very well priced.

Ibis budgets can be a bit hit and miss, the basic formular is the same, small hotel room with a double and sometimes a bed over, small bathroom and a basic breakfast. Sometimes this works really well, other not so much so, but on this occasion it definitely did work very well.

The hotel staff were excellent and friendly and the price was great. It was a little bit of a drive to see the main city center but it’s no problem if you have transportation. Would stay here again.
Conveniently situated for att the D-day sites and others. The room, albeit on the smaller size was ample for me and my 2 daughters ages 12 and 15. Room cleaned and tidied every day. We opted for the breakfast at just under 10 euro for me and my 15 year old and half price for the 13 year old. In my opinion slightly overpriced for a continental. Would definitely consider an Ibis Budget again.
Nice hotel
Clean hotel with a restaurant next-door. Friendly staff. The rooms are small. Quiet location in the country, outside the city.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Hôtel d'Argouges! The property is gorgeous and has loads of charm. Staying there felt like stepping back in time! The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were very modern. We really appreciated the warm welcome of the hotel staff, and of Gloria, the resident beagle! The hotel's location was very convenient, and the availability of parking was a great benefit. The rooms were comfortable, and although they were on the smaller side due to being in Europe, our room was more than adequate for the three of us. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, which was the best aspect of our stay.
The good: location near the heart of the city within walking distance of shipping, restaurants and attractions. The hotel includes an indoor courtyard with a garden. Accommodating and friendly staff. Breakfast for 15 Euros was good, and included American coffee. Free parking is available in the courtyard which could be a tight fit for anything but a compact vehicle.

Good budget hotel with very helpful staff.
Basic hotel. The location is good, close to the center by walk or car. The room is small and the bathroom is like a camper. I don’t like that you have to pay for the amenities. The breakfast is ok, according to the price. You can bring you dog with you and enjoy the breakfast in the terrace. Also there is a check-in machine in the parking to do it if you come late.
Warm and professional welcome
Close to the city center
It's about a 10-minute walk from the station. You can also walk to the center of Bayeux, so it's recommended for those who walk. Overall, it was very clean.
Very good, very close to the Normandy War Memorial, not far from the Tapestry Museum and Notre Dame de Bayeux, the room is spacious, two down and three beds, suitable for families.
Everything is okay for a budget hotel. I have tried this hotel chain before. However, this time it's different because there is a self check in for this branch. I also lost one one of my vanity items. Good thing my other items were not lost. The reception staff were friendly and approachable. Unfortunately, I was not able to raise this concern as I am in a rush for my train.

The rooms are a nice size but kind of tired. The staff is excellent and so was the location. Getting breakfast was crazy busy in the hotel and too crowded. I suggest a breakfast elsewhere
Liked this hotel a lot for it's location and service. They lose 2 stars for some paint pealing in the bathroom but regain 1 BIG star for having an air conditioner in the room with full working controls which seems to be unusual in the area. Overall if you have a chance to go to Bayeux do it. It's awesome.
Great location, but very mediocre property. Hotel is located a short walk from town and from the train station, making it a great tourist location. Unfortunately, the hotel is dated, small and in moderate condition. We had a family room, which did have bunk beds for the kids (a nice feature). However, it was on the top floor of the hotel which featured a slanted ceiling, making an already small...
A great little hotel, convenient to the train station and the towns sites. Breakfast is very good with tons of pastry choices along with correctly done scrambled eggs. Hallways are a bit noisy, which is as much an issue with the visitors than anything. Staff is unfailingly helpful and cheerful. You feel the warm welcome

You had to store valuables at the front desk
Staff at this hotel was hard workings and extremely friendly and accommodating.
Would stay here again but ....
Staff was great! Room was nice & clean. Hotel was close to what we wanted to see.
Downside .... our room was across a very busy street from the cinema. Lots of groups chatting & yelling & having fun. Good for them, but not for us as we were just trying f to sleep & that was tough. Motorcycle running up & down the street late didn't help.

Warm, friendly place to stay. Convenient for Bayeux. Great breakfast.
The bedrooms might be a little small by American standard but they were clean, the bathroom was fairly big (though it didn't have gloves).
