Chateau de Bellefontaine - Teritoria, Bayeux1 / 50
9.1
Bayeux, 49, Rue de Bellefontaine 🧭 Map
The place was wonderful but the only problem a bit out of town and if you dont have car it was difficult to get too and from the town. Also the restaurant was closed 2 of the 3 days we were there. Wifi not great. But the place was gorgeous and rooms very comfortable.
Stunning view upon entering property! The Chateau is clean and well maintained. The staff is courteous and friendly. Within walking distance of town.
Gorgeous chateau in Bayeux. The night Receptionist/Jill of all trades.. was outstanding. She was efficient and friendly. Wonderful service. Our suite was clean and very spacious, which we loved. Dinner was superb...steak and fish cooked to perfection. Well done Chef!
Beautiful and relaxing stay...room very small but sufficient and very clean but was last available on chosen night....grounds tranquil...we took dinner in evening and breakfast in morning...both were superb. However this place could do with more staff ....we arrived at 2pm ...one at reception and one looking after small wedding reception dinner....same girl looking after us till late at night and...
Nice chateau tucked away in a small village in the countryside. There are activities, such as tennis, table tennis, soccer, and a swing set. We got off to a rough start because the receptionist said she would not speak English, but we worked through our differences and she ended being more cordial. The food was good as well. You can make your own pancakes for breakfast also. The wifi wasn't that good...
It is a nice place to be... Room and ensuite are well set up, clean. The restaurant is nice, food is great. January time and the fireplace is cranked up, so you really feel cosy in the couch while waiting to go to eat.

The Novotel in Bayeux was a welcome stop on my trip back to Amsterdam from Portugal. Pet friendly and a good location to explore the surrounding area. The bar and restaurant was good, with a decent breakfast. There was plenty of parking and super quiet.
Too expensive for what you get. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast, very limited dinner possibilities but good and not too expensive. Decent location. Bar not stocked, some things very cheap, some overpriced. Toilet room way too small, almost impossible to even get in. Beds are good. Would expect more though from Novotel brand. Clean swimming pool.
A great place to recharge and relax after a long day of seeing the sites. One if the few places with air conditioning and a pool. Reasonable pricing and helpful staff to assist in you requests. Conference room for large events or seminar for work.
The hotel was very nice, rooms were really nice as well. And the food was really good. The employees were also really nice. I went for a school trip and they were always kind.
An excellent location to base yourself for any tour of the Normandy beaches and just a short walk into Bayeux itself. Close to the exit for the main road and plenty of parking. Staff all had excellent English and extremely helpful and friendly.
Stayed here while touring through the region. The service was great. The accommodation and breakfast were very good for the price paid. I would stay here again next trip.

This is a superb hotel. Excellent location, exceptional staff and great accommodations. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the region.
This is by far the best hotel that my family has ever visited!! Not only is the staff extremely helpful and friendly, but these are without a doubt the cleanest hotel room that we have ever stayed in. My brother asked about playing at a local golf course and within seconds they were making the reservation for him to play 18 holes the following day and scheduling a round trip taxi service. The hotel...
Absolutely first rate. Perfectly located, personable and accommodating staff, large and comfortable rooms. We hated to depart!
This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. Rima and her staff made our stay amazing and very enjoyable. I look forward to returning and spending more time here and in this beautiful town. Having stayed here as the last stop on our vacation, it was truly saving the best for last.
Beautiful decor. Fantastic helpful English speaking employees. Right in the heart of Bayeux with access to all shops and restaurants.
On our recent trip to France, our favorite hotel, by far, was Villa Lara. The service was impeccable, and very friendly. We loved our room, with a balcony and view of Notre Dame Bayeux, and the beautiful décor. Bayeux is a quaint, lovely village, rich with history. If you're going to Normandy, don't miss out on this wonderful village, and...

Breakfast provision was substandard with provisions running out before 7:30 AM. Insufficient staff to assist guests to self serve breakfast which was busy with a large tour group. Better provision for this should have been made assuming they were booked and breakfast is pre ordered and prepaid
We were visiting the D Day sites and Bayeux is a great location for this. The hotel is 5km out of Bayeux and has a decent restaurant next door. It's clean and friendly. Does good breakfasts at really good rates. Our room for 3 was 'compact' but perfectly OK. All at good rates. Parking was no problem. About 25 minutes from Caen and Arromanches.
Friendly staff, nice parking lot, rooms are clean and quiet. The room, shower and bathroom are small but the rate per night is reasonable. Stayed two nights so we could visit the Normandy beaches and this hotel is perfect for that. About my 9 rating.... if there was a coffeemaker in the room it would have been a 10 ;-)
Functional. Location ideal for anyone as yet unfamiliar with semi-populated out of town light industrial parks. Nice restaurant next door. Rooms akin to hospital rooms and commensurate with the price paid. Staff friendly and breakfast adequate. Overall... OK but certainly not one to keep in the holiday album.
Easy check in / out. Great rooms, clean & just right size, location ideal for Bayeux & the d-day beaches. Would highly recommend staying here & wouldn’t hesitate to return. Didn’t choose the breakfast option, but what we saw looked really good.
it’s good for the price and it’s open 24/7. They gave extra toothbrush and toothpaste. Also, they were flexible to change the rooms on our own wish.

Our family of four stayed here over Christmas, 2019, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in the 4th floor apartment and it was perfect for us with the 2 bedrooms. Very spacious and clean. Hot tub, sauna and infinity pool were enjoyed. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff very pleasant. Parking available. Location is just right for exploring Bayeux and also for travelling to Normandy Beaches...
This hotel is located 0.8miles from main train station. The hotel staff is very curteous! Very helpful! The rooms are clean and roomy. It has an elevator, restaurant and bar in the property as well as a Pool spa and sauna.

We stayed for 3 days and were the only guests for the first two after they reopened from the virus shutdown. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Great hotel with a fantastic staff and location. I couldn't ask for more. The front desk staff were exceptional!
Love this hotel. Very quirky. No elevator - walk up a pain but great location right in the middle of the old town. Easy walk to the Tapestry and the Cathedral. Restaurants very easy walking distance
The rooms were outstanding and the breakfast was amazing and the staff were really helpful would highly recommend this hotel stunning location.
Happened upon The Churchill Hotel on a bike trip, Found the staff and room fantastic. Would highly recommend. We were made feel right at home and the advice we received on the surrounding areas was crucial to our touring. Many Thanks and we'll defo be back :-) :-)

Beautiful charming hotel with very friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. Highly recommended. The restaurant is beautiful, well decorated. The food and wine are excellent and affordable. Love it.
Charming restaurant in the center of Bayeux. 5 minutes walk from the Tapestry Museum. The day menu for only 19 euros is balanced and delicious. Service is perfect. Michelin guide recommendation.
A wonderful stay and such delicious food too. A great location so walking distance for sightseeing. Loved the hotel cat too!
A beautiful property a short walk from the train station and the center of town. Comfortable and spacious room with large, modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet was delicious, well stocked, and included some hot items. Dinner at the hotel was also delicious. The staff is polite and gracious. There were stairs to my room, but not too steep.
The hotel is located close to the city center - main attractions like e.g. the beautiful cathedral are in reach of a 5 minutes walk. The rooms are clean and the bed has been very comfortable ensuring a good night sleep. The food in the restaurant offers a good selection of local specialities, however you have to be prepared to pay a certain price for it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Make...
What a beautiful hotel, so much history. Relaxing in the evening in very comfy leather club chairs sipping a wine and nibbling cheese enjoying the cosy huge open fire, before moving into the Restaurant with its magnificent gourmet meals. Rooms the usual small space that’s seen in Europe. Our particular room seemed a bit more cramped. GREAT location but will look for something a bit more affordable next time. Pleasant staff at all times b
Gorgeous little getaway. Very helpful and friendly staff. Cute rooms. Quiet. Gorgeous lobby and waiting rooms/breakfast area. Free parking in a secured spot. Good breakfast. Nice little garden behind as well. Good views from 1st and 2nd floors (2nd and 3rd for Americans.)
I think the best hotel we stayed in during our France trip. Wonderful service from the desk. Beautiful garden we couldn't wait to get back to while exploring. Front desk helped us explore Bayeaux. Room and bathroom were wonderful and clean. Breakfast was the best we had. Great location. Nothing bad to be said. We would come back in a heartbeat
My family and I came to Bayeux to visit the World War II beaches. We loved this hotel! First and foremost, the accommodations are amazing! Old charm beauty mixed with new world amenities. Excellent huge rooms, they could have fit a third queen i to my room. The staff is top notch, the breakfast was made to order. The hot tub was nice after a cold day walking the D Day beaches.
This is another one of the best westerns we stayed in while on our trip in France and throughout. Right in town we had a lot of fun just walking around and exploring the town. As usual it cost you to park your car. We enjoyed this hotel as much as we did the rest of the Best Western Hotels throughout France.
Old hotel. Great location. Center of town. Front desk was very nice staff.. Smell of mold in our bathroom was very strong. Out building had no elevator so you carry your suitcase up stairs.
Came here with my wife for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. The hotel was nice and the staff were also great. Ended up hanging out with the some of the staff and had a blast. Location is also great.
Good hotel with helpful staff in a quiet town. The rooms are spacious by French standard and the place includes a pool and hot tub. There is a secure parking lot for an additional charge. This place is within walking distance of many tourist sites in town, and the town makes a good home base for visits to the D Day landing sites.
We arrived a bit past 23h but the front desk woman came back in to check us in late. That was very nice of her. The hotel is in a great location. The room was very clean. Large bathroom. All of the staff was very friendly and nice. The breakfast is amazing and delicious!

Good hotel; nice staff, rooms and very good value for money. The new wing of the hotel is very beautiful!
Gorgeous hotel with a beautiful garden right in the city, close to the tapestry and Cathedral. Lovely design inside and out, exceeded all my expectations.
Superb location and amazing room. There is free parking available on the domain itself. With the car you can easily visit the world War locations like the American Cemetery or landing beaches. We were friendly welcomed. The breakfast was not outstanding, but rather basic. I can really recommend the attic superior double room! It can get hot, because there is no air condition. We loved Domaine de Bayeux! The location is a centuries-old mansion that is set up as more of a B&B than a hotel (although the breakfast does not come with the room). The Hotel Le Bayeux was very charming and comfortable. The rooms (we had 2) were very clean and spacious. The staff was very attentive. We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to Bayeux. Would recommend this hotel in the highest regard!
The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from Bayeux Train Station. Reception staff can speak English, are friendly and willing to help. Our room has 3 single beds which is perfect for us. Room is pretty small, but clean. Bathroom shower tends to spill water to outside floor. We stayed here 3 nights to tour Normandy D-Day sites and Mont St. Michel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was most comfortable with all necessary equipment and facilities. Breakfast upstairs was comfortable and acceptable. Good location. The room was able to accommodate 4 of us. Employee at check in was pleasant but not overly welcoming. Wonderful breakfast. The woman who prepared the meal was a delight. Shower - no tub, which we preferred.
Booked 2 rooms for family of 4. The rooms were a nice size, the beds were comfortable and the shower room was also large. As busy as the hotel was it was very quite at night. There was one younger girl who worked at the hotel who spoke very good English and very pleasant to talk to. She was working the night we arrived which was nice after a long journey to get to Bayeux. Liked - The room was tight, but the bed was comfortable. Less than 15 minute walk to train station or into the center of town. Simple continental breakfast helped to start the day... Nice & basic, much like an American Motel 6. Great proximity to the center of town; approximately 1.1 kilometers. 800 meters from the Bayeux Military Museum & Britain War Cemetery.
I found this to be a really nice hotel. As it is rated 1 star, my expectations were "low" and this establishment exceeded them fully. We checked in when the front desk was staffed so had no problems. Our room was small, but clean and contained everything necessary for a good, nights sleep. It is also a short walk from the cathedral and the main Bayeux sights. Free parking was also an added benefit
A great example of a basic hotel. Excellent value. Clean and tidy. Plenty of hot water. And a welcome relief after a week of basic camping. Lots of parking. About 1km walk into Bayeaux. The town has lots to offer. So worth allowing a bit of time to explore.
Basic but fit for purpose for a night or two, would recommend, short walk to tapestry, memorial and cathedral Book it or be sorry.

Great hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom had modern fixtures and tile. We had a wonderful stay.

Service was excellent, the restaurant was good. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.
Perfect location. Helpful staff. Nice room. Affordable with a pleasant terrace bar/ restaurant. Would stay here again!
The hotel is centrally located and convenient for all the restaurants and sights to visit. We stayed in one of the hotel's outbuildings - beautifully refurbished, well equipped and very comfortable. A great hotel that is perfect for a trip to Bayeux. Nothing fancy but just what was needed. Lovely staff.
Lovely stay at Hotel St. Patrice. We had 2 rooms, both spotless and newly renovated. Hoteliers, Aline and Jérôme were attentive and accommodating. European breakfast met our needs. Excellent location for exploring Bayeux and as base for all D-Day historical sites.
Friendly staff. Decent enough for a night or two, but the shower drain smelled a bit upstairs. Bearable. Also toilet downstairs with no sink so you have to go upstairs to wash hands. Good beds. Stayed in unit 1.
