This hotel is ideal for those looking to explore the city and enjoy the beach. Just a short walk away, the beach is easily accessible. The rooms are beautifully maintained, clean, and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay.

Great location and a good price for the room we received.

A nice 4 star hotel in the center of Biarritz. The hotel is in an excellent location, walkable to everything in the city. Plenty of bakeries, restaurants, pubs, and shopping within walking distance, but the hotel is still located on a fairly quiet street.

The hotel is clean, well maintained, and has fresh decor. But it isn’t overly elegant or flashy. My room was on the 7th floor and had a beautiful sea view. The room was quiet, comfortable and not too small. The Privilege rooms have a mini fridge with complimentary juice, water and soft drinks, as well as a Nespresso machine. There’s no bar or restaurant in the hotel.

My only two noteworthy items are the air conditioning and the parking:
- A/C: As it was chilly outside during my stay, the hotel’s A/C was intentionally turned off, which is quite common in parts of Europe during the cooler weather months. I was able to cool the room by opening the window. As the street outside our room is relatively calm at night, there was minimal noise to disturb us. When the window is closed, it’s a completely sound proofed room.
- Parking: A public parking garage is attached to the hotel. Although the garage’s operator, Indigo, advertised €17 per 24 hours on its website, the actual rate was €25 which isn’t disclosed until you’re in the garage. Disappointing that the hotel doesn’t have an agreement for a fixed rate or in/out privileges for guests.

as an ALL Platinum member I was disappointed-surprised to be only able to check-in at 14.57, not much of an early check-in compared to the standard-check in time of 15.00, didn't receive any room upgrade sometimes afforded to ALL Platinum members, received a welcome drink voucher but was surprised that it could not be used or redeemed in the actual hotel but only in another hotel a few hundred metres away, the name of which was not even indicated on the welcome drink voucher, in our room 707 there was a welcome note addressed to "Ongi Etorri", I have no idea who this person is, the room was stuffy, directly faced the sun for most of the day and curtains were drawn back, one narrow window could not be opened (I think they are afraid that people could fall or jump out) and the other wider window only opened inwards at a slant, but if you pulled the curtain that effectively closed the window due to a poor design flaw....., we stayed in April but I would really not like to be in this room in the height of summer, on first morning the shower head fell off the shower hose, I thought the cleaning person might have asked for it to be repaired (or maybe she thought we wanted it broken in this way ?), when we came back in the afternoon it was still lying broken in the shower so I went to reception to report it and a technician came to fix it, on one of the 3 nights we were disturbed by some police messages being broadcast repeatedly by loudspeaker presumably from a police car in the early hours of the morning, maybe the hotel staff know if the police were trying to arrest somebody in the vicinity of the hotel ?

Biarritz is a jewel, and having a 4-star hotel in the center requires the respect of Biarritz citizens, leadership, and customers. I mean that the Mercure President Hotel has to raise the challenge.

The service we received at the reception, as well as in our room, was first class.

The area of improvement is the breakfast; our advice would be to hire ASAP a 4 Stars Chief who would rebuild the image France portrays in the world regarding preparing and offering food.

Next, and not the most difficult as parking is next to the hotel, is making a deal with the parking company so the hotel can offer parking to its customers. Some hotels of this class offer parking to their customers, but even a reasonable cost to the customers would be acceptable.

Good average chain hotel. Small rooms with very comfortable mattresses. Is strange to see the showers and the toilet with separated doors (very usual in Japan). The hotel is located 350 from the beach. Nice and affordable place to stay at if you are in Biarritz (France)

Room was clean. Paid for the upgrade to get balcony and they put in a room with a view...no balcony! There was a funky smell in the room of maybe backed up drain pipes. The breakfast was very good. There is a third party parking building right beside the hotel.... €19 a day. You can see the ocean from hotel but this area is too beautiful not to find a place right on the ocean... if you can afford it.

The friendliest service and great location! Emma and Floran at the front desk stood out as being super helpful and sweet.

The smallest beds in the world. Ocean view through a stupid window and no balcony even that we paid 190 euros a night. Never go there. Other cheaper alternatives are way better than this one. Horribly unsatisfied.

This place isn't right on the water but very close. It's in desperate need of a makeover. The are horrible and the wallpaper in our toilet closet was ripping off. Staff was pleasant.
