Amazing stay with amazing service. Anything we asked for was made possible. The restaurant and the breakfast was really good also, but a bit expensive though the breakfast can be a one time thing also to try all the nice Basque cakes outside the hotel as well. The spa was great.

A fantastic hotel, settled on cliffs with stunning sea views. We received a very warm welcome and the concierge team was going the extra mile to help us get organized. The junior suite on the highest floor with its own terrace with sea views is just amazing. Thank you @ Hotel Du Palais team!

Among the world's finest hotels. Majestic location, regal rooms and suites, and highly professional yet friendly service. Not cheap, but well worth the expense. If you are visiting Biarritz, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to stay in a true royal palace.

I didn't stay in the hotel itself. But I visited the cafe on the south terrace. The building itself has a rich history, which gives the palace additional charm along with the rich interior decoration.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at this hotel, taking advantage of our Accor membership. We were fortunate during our stay to be upgraded to a beachfront room. It is always a pleasure to renew our honeymoon every year at the Sofitel, it is pure luxury, the queen size beds are so comfortable, the outside swimming pool is fantastic even when it is windy weather - I quite like it as the pool is empty when the weather is bad. The gym and other spa facilities are fantastic.

We went here for a brunch and spa. The brunch was amazing but the service was out of this world. We had a great time at the spa+massage. Our group enjoyed every minute of it. A special thanks to Sophie M., the manager of the spa. 100% recommend it.

Oh my goodness what a wonderful Chateau to stay in... It is owned and run by the original owners geat grandson. The interior is lovely and reflects it's heritage. Our room on ground floor was large and the attached bath was huge. Beautifully appointed. The bed was large and very comfy. The bath towels thick and soft. They provide robes and slippers. My husband and I were very impressed with this hotel. Unfortunately we were not able to stay here, due to my 7 year old becoming very ill the days leading up to our stay. During our stay in the beautiful castle we imagined ourselves a landlord and castle lady for a night. The reception was super customer friendly. The room and the surrounding garden breathtaking. The concluding breakfast gave a feeling of satisfaction before our long journey home.

It is a good hotel. Friendly staff and good location. Grounds are very spacious and nice views. Catering is limited and rooms could do with air conditioning in warm weather. Other than that, all good.

Our favorite spot! Wonderful peaceful, private, personal and hedonistic experience.

A very warm welcome and very helpful staff. The hotel is perfectly situated but has no attached car park, the carpark is a public one situated elsewhere. The rooms are slightly small but bed very comfortable. I recommend this hotel for short stays.

Spotless and quiet room. The staff is very welcoming, as are the owners. The hotels are the ones we love, in which we feel very comfortable. Nearby are parking lots, the ocean and shops. We'll get back to this as soon as possible.

It was an true French experience! We had small and cozy room what looked so stylish. Everything was so soft, the pillows, the towels, the carpet on the floor, even the Clarins Paris shower gel in the bathroom. After this my body felt like a french satin. All well and good, but the fact that the Parking is paid - no where it was stated.

the place is not in the centre. it is about 3 km from the shore, so if you mind walking uphill a little, seeing in the meantime nice houses, then it is perfect. it is possible to park free of charge. personnel is nice, helpful

Biarritz is a jewel, and having a 4-star hotel in the center requires the respect of Biarritz citizens, leadership, and customers. I mean that the Mercure President Hotel has to raise the challenge. Room was clean. Paid for the upgrade to get balcony and they put in a room with a view...no balcony! There was a funky smell in the room of maybe backed up drain pipes. The breakfast was very good. There is a third party parking building right beside the hotel.... €19 a day. You can see the ocean from hotel but this area is too beautiful not to find a place right on the ocean... if you can afford...

We like Windsor a lot. Have stayed here in 2020 and 2021. Their staff is greatly accommodating and helpful; the rooms are excellent, with everything you would expect (ac that works, sound proofing, high speed connectivity, nespresso machine, good water pressure). Make sure you park at the casino parking and that you arrive at a time where all the parkings are not packed. Can’t beat being in front...

Lovely hotel. Great location: very easy to see the best of Biarritz by foot/bicycle as beaches and city life amenities are very close by. Warning if you come by car you must reserve parking far in advance as spaces are very limited (and finding parking in Biarritz in high-season is nearly impossible). But otherwise nice experience.

We stayed a night at Hotel Saint-Julien that was recommended to us by our local friend Charlotte. It was such a pleasant surprise. Love the local vibe of this boutique hotel. Rooms are comfortable and designed with flair. Staff is extremely nice and homemade breakfast was marvelous. ++ it’s walking distance from every attraction in Biarritz.

September 2024 Been to the restaurant. This is not a tourist trap (looking at where it is located). Often a full house. Staff is helpfull and quick (after your first order ;-) ) good menu, looking at seasons while also have some classics on the menu. Good wine list also per glass. Your money's worth. Make a reservation or come in right at 19:00. Table by the window.

We’ve had a wonderful, relaxing couple of nights here. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The room (302) was spacious, with a huge terrace overlooking the sea opened by large patio doors and bedroom that had a sliding door to separate the lounge area. This meant you could keep all your suitcases and general clutter in the lounge (there is plenty of practical storage) and relax in a tidy bedroom...

Had a gift from friends of a one night stay in this hotel. Loved that was able to have my cats with me as it is pet friendly hotel, the extra cost for each animal is 10€. The rooms- small but pretty clean i would say. There was some dust under bed which was suprising, but liked that the floor was laminate and not a carpet. Straight away felt much more clean than normal hotel room. Shower very nice...

There was a water leaking from the toilet in our room - and the solution proposed by the hotel was to put more towels on the floor… When we checked out, we had to hang out in the hotel for little longer and it was raining. Great location, very close to the beaches and center of town but on a nice calm street. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave me good recommendations of places to visit and restaurants in the area. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The staff working here are very kind and the lounge and bar/restaurant area are very nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable and AC works great but the room interior does not like the pictures on website. We paid for a ”elegantes” room which according to the website is suppose to be 20m2, however our room was max 16m2 including bathroom and toilet.

Great place for brunch, €24 with a good selection of dishes including cold chicken, salmon and hot bacon, sausage and eggs. Good selection of pies which were all vegetarian. Drinks are included to hot and cold got juice. The tiramisu was to die for.

I was originally meant to be staying here to celebrate my birthday at the end of June, but due to Covid-19 my flights were cancelled at the last minute. My girlfriend contacted the hotel to inform them of the issues and how we couldn't get to Biarritz, and they were extremely helpful, understanding and their level of customer service impressed me greatly!
