Conveniently located for an overnight stay if you are driving from Calais to the Alps. Much better than staying in an Ibis or similar. Staff were all very helpful and dinner in the bistro was fabulous and very reasonably priced; and the best French breakfast I have had for a long time

Have a room with city view. Very nice and comfy bed. Spacious bathroom with big bath tub and also shower room. Very new and clean bath robes and towels. Private parking available for €10/day. There are two very good restaurants on the premise. One is fine dining which was very good.

Great place to stay right in the heart of Chalons, with a restaurant that provides everything you'd expect from a Michelin 1*. I was particularly impressed that, although we we there on a very quiet night (the night before NYE) the quality of food and service was perfect. I'd recommend the "Surprise" choice for wine with each course.

Room rather small but well appointed, lovely bathroom. Rooms not released until 4pm, disappointing after a long journey. Enjoyed a delicious glass of champagne whilst waiting. Breakfast a little late opening up before starting before another long journey...

We always stay at this hotel en route to Italy or Switzerland and it is ideal for an overnight stay. Great central location, free parking, lovely brasserie for dinner, right opposite the Saturday market which is well worth a visit and friendly staff. The only disappointment this time was that it was a Friday night and rather noisy outside so we had to shut all the windows etc ... but at least it had air con!

We enjoyed a comfortable, well-appointed room. Parking nearby is a nightmare so we were glad we booked a parking space that included free Destination Charging for our Tesla. We opted for dinner in the brasserie instead of the Michelin starred restaurant. We were not disappointed (in fact delighted) with the menu selection, attentive service or wines on offer. We will be back.

The hotel d’angleterre was a great experience. The stay far exceeded my expectations for this region. Large clean and bright rooms with well maintained bathrooms. A very good attached restaurant for any meals. Breakfast was basic, but included everything you need: eggs, bread, meats, cereal, and fresh juices. Staff was courteous.

Average. A little dated but clean and we'll run. Very good Restraunt. Book the restaraunt before the room to prevent disappointment. A B&B next to a Michelin Guide establisment.
When the project is complete and all floors are refurbished it will be worth a visit.

Wonderful hotel, amazing staff, friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The only downside was the very poor wifi which didn't work in the room during the evening and the airconditioning in the room not working.
