We stay at the Ibis Styles in Chalons-en-Champagne regularly on our way through from the UK to Switzerland and find it very good value for money. For the first time, we had a room on the ground floor which worried us slightly as we weren't sure about the possible noise, but it was as quiet as could be, obviously very well insulated! Particularly as we were warned on arrival by the charming receptionist that there was a party of school children staying as well. He kindly indicated that they would take their breakfast before 8 a.m. and advised us to wait until then for ours, which was much appreciated! We always eat at La Bourse, an excellent brasserie almost next door, so it's a perfect location, too. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is located in the centre of town.
The first night was good, however the second night was absolutely awful.
The room air conditioning stopped working after a short power cut, it was around 35 degrees and we were literally melting.
We were told they couldn't get anyone to look at it until the morning.
There were no other rooms available and no fans either, we had to get buckets of ice to try and cool the room down, which without a fan didn't work.
We had a terrible sleep and I had to ride our motorbike for nearly 300 miles in the morning.
We were shocked when an engineer just walked into the room in the morning, he assumed the room was empty due to the aircon being faulty.

Nice hotel in the city centre but research properly as Google maps took us all over the pace. Lovely area go to the river in the evening for a drink

We returned to Ibis Styles Châlons en Champagne and again the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room was great. The location is perfect in the centre of town with all tourist sites in walking distance and plenty of nice restaurants and bars at its front step.

We had a very nice stay, super friendly and helpful staff made it a very good experience. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast is totally worth trying, fresh orange juice, freshly boiled eggs, bread, croissants, all kinds of cheeses, jams, fruit and so on. Don't hesitate to make a stop here!

Located in town centre, very clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was great as well. Stayed one night with two kids in a family room. Two thumps up

Location is perfect for all the towns attractions. Lovely square with restaurants and bars and located well for shops and excellent indoor market. The nearby park is a lovely stroll away and beautiful early evening. This is not a fancy hotel just clean honest rooms. Although somewhat quirky great for a long weekend or overnight stop. Secure underground parking is compact but doable in an SUV or Land Rover!

The stay was good. The room was clean and was a good size. The inclusive breakfast was nice.
We arrived late but we checked in and got into the room with ease by the reception staff.
The only gripe we had was that the sat nav took us to the car park entrance at the back of the building. We were scrambling around late at night trying to find the entrance which was in their square.

Overnight stay but had to change room twice as air con was not working properly. Then TV not working in the room so front desk changed the whole TV set for us. Helene at the front desk must be commended for her service. Give this woman a big raise ! She was a one woman show doing everything!
