Hotel Colbert

This hotel is a big joke. Rooms are in really bad shape and dirty, breakfast was just bad and no customerservice what so ever. I made a reservation for wrong day, then the hotel manager asked me to make an annulation by Booking and email to them so they cancel it without fees and we made a new reservation to the right day. Did the annulation as asked and next day when i asked is it canceled and the hotel manager said that she will confirm it with her supervisor and everything will be setled. Then no answer for a week to the emails or calls. Then week later replying to the same annulation email to me that they didnt get the annulation message?! So just straith up lies from the manager and a fraud. Really unpleasent stay. Can't recommend to anyone.

The place has a pretension of grandeur, as its name already indicates, but little does it matter that it is shabby, with rooms not soundproof, unclean, not comfortable, etc., which one can always excuse for an hotel, the main problem with this place is that, like Colbert, they are obsessed with money, although while Colbert could get it with grace and panache (and do something with it, as clearly their income doesn't go into renovating the premises), they will spare no effort of the most despicable and pathetic nature to charge you a few extras. This is disagreeable because there is nothing more vulgar for a professional than to be unable to conceal where lies his real and in this case exclusive interest: cash, benefits, profit. It's not even the pitiful amount of money they manage to steal in this way that matters, it's this nauseating attitude, the big calamity of our modern age... Hôtel Thenardiers sounds like a more fitting name.
