I did not have a perfect stay overall but the service at the hotel was 5 star. I would recommend the hotel almost exclusively for the excellent service I received. Fantastic experience at Valrugues! We had such a relaxing time and concierge took care of all our needs for our toddler. Rooms are great and spacious, the outdoor is spectacular and the fine dining restaurant is superb! 5 stars all the way We will be back

My only concern while staying here was the size of our room. However, the view over the garden from our patio while having lunch in our room is so peaceful. The food was fantastic. Next time, I hope to take advantage of the spa.

My husband and I had a great experience here. From upon arrival, we were helped with our luggage and it was taken to the room. We were given a tour of the hotel and the services. Front desk was always friendly and kind, there was a valet on site that took care of your car. Parking was free. We booked a spa experience as well, a massage and 30 minutes of the private jacuzzi. Wonderful stay. The service staff was really a standout. Extremely helpful and welcoming. The chateau was really historic. The grounds were well-kept but not overly-fussy. You felt like you were in nature, not some manicured resort. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, and beautifully presented. Lovely wine as well. Loved the location and staff, lovely people and very helpful. The basic rooms were just that, basic, comfortable but not up to any 4 star rating in my experience. Spent the last two nights of a four night stay in an upgraded room, comfortable and roomy but still a stretch to say four stars. Still, I would recomend this hotel, the location and staff are first rate.

This is a very comfortable hotel on a main street in St. Remy de Provence ,easily accessible, with many onsite amenities but also right across the street from great restaurants and shops . Excellent walking in the area. We had a spacious room that felt more like a small apartment. Very quiet. Helpful staff. Great breakfast in the morning, bar services in the evening. Onsite restaurant.

Amazing location, very friendly staff, beautiful grounds. The rooms are quote small and outdated, but that wouldn't have been an problem if it weren't for the maintenance issues. Seems like there are some management issues here and it's unfortunate because it is a lovely place with charming people.

A very nice hotel in the center of St Rémy with tourist sights and restaurants within walking distance. The large garden behind the hotel are well maintained and has a English garden style maze/labyrinth. A very positive experience. If you are there on a Wednesday walk to the awesome farmer’s market.

Such a beautiful location surrounded by wondrous trees. The chateau is delightful having not been tarted up as sadly is happening all over France. The food was very good indeed. We only went for dinner so cannot comment on the rooms.

Nice place relative to hotels in town of St Remy. Large clean rooms and bathroom. The tub is on the high side for seniors like me to get into. Would not recommend having breakfast or dinner here . Restaurant staff especially were not that helpful considering the charge for the breakfast! But on the whole a lovely place to stay !

A beautiful French country side Chateau. So peaceful and quiet. The grounds surrounding the Chateau are definitely the highlight of our stay. If you need a break from your busy travels this is a great retreat.

St. Remy was a beautiful holiday for us and it was a joy to stay 2 nights at this beautiful traditional house, with the huge garden and of course the breakfast. We hope to come back again. Thank you!

What a great relaxing stay here. We enjoyed the clean room, sauna, and big pool! Plus the breakfast was delicious and the service was impeccable and very friendly! Getting to St. Remy is a 5 minute drive away and the hotel helped us by making dinner reservations. Highly recommend!

Everything was so perfect for us. We booked this place for a romantic weekend away. The staff upgraded our room and it was so lovely. The choice of menu in the restaurant however was very small.

Just the most extraordinary stay ever. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. We came for our honey moon and the owner ulgraded us on the spot to a senior suite. We stayed 4 days. We also had our new year eve dinner there and all was perfect. Highly recommend!

No question - the food is good. The service is good and the ambiance is good. We had the prix fixe lunch menu. My only complaint is that the portions were really small.

The food here is not as good as other similarly priced/rated establishments. Service is a bit fussy, very nice dining room with welcome roaring fire.
