Hotel Brin d'Azur - Saint Tropez in St. Tropez

during checkout, we were suddenly told that we had an unsettled food & beverage bill. This was very confusing, as none of our family had ordered anything from the restaurant or bar.

When I asked to see receipts and proof, the receptionist was extremely rude, dismissive, and aggressive. He wouldn’t let me speak or explain, nor would he take the time to verify the details properly. I asked him to show me the receipts, and when he finally did, I noticed that the charges were dated before we even arrived at the hotel – with items we never consumed (including pork paninis, which we do not eat as we are Muslim). He simply said that the dates are written wrong and continued to insist we had to pay even though the receipts doesn’t have our signature on it.
Also, we were told a €450 garntee was blocked on our card at check-in, but at checkout, despite having an email from the hotel confirming that it was blocked, the staff at checkout insisted nothing was on their system and refused to even check or acknowledge the email. The money is still blocked from our bank account.
