Hotel Le Refuge

The hotel is situated in the center of the city. Near the ski slipes, restaurants and bus.
The room was nice and comfortable.

I liked it here it's great value for money. You literally couldnt be closer to the lifts in tignes. We stayed with my dog here and they are all really helpful. Breakfast is great, there's a lot of choice... If you're driving book your parking first. There's plenty of parking but needs to be booked. The spa is ok... Good to have there.

I stayed over Easter with my 4 children. Having lost my phone at the airport, they were fantastic at letting me use their phone and internet. They were so lovely and accommodating. The reception staff were v friendly. There didn't seem to be anything they couldn't do to help. My children had a great time thanks to the hotel's relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to go back again. Thank you!

Very central location. Wi-fi accessible far outside the hotel with great speed. Very good breakfast buffet. Pool table, bar, spa. Ski equipment storage room has a locker for each room. One bad thing would be soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel being an all-in-one. I also didn't like that I needed to lock the room door manually when leaving.

We picked this hotel for a visit in January 2016, more-or-less at random. We came back this year and we intend to stay again in 2018. That should tell you something.

The hotel is well appointed, comfortable, in the middle of the ski area and reasonably-priced. The staff are friendly and very polite: despite having a good command of English, they all allowed me to try in my broken French and only spoke in my native tongue when I faltered and did so myself.

Breakfast is ample. L'Escale Blanche is next door for lunch and dinner. The upstairs breakfast room doubles as a quiet reading room during the day; and as a bar, with a roaring log fire, in the evening. There's free WiFi, most of the rooms seem to have balconies and en-suite bathrooms (with baths and showers) and the exit from the ski room is two minutes walk from the chair lift.

The original building is old - it's obviously been extended and altered a great deal over the past 80 years - and I suspect that the original thick walls explain the lack of noise in the rooms. We were never disturbed by other guests.

My only regret is that we didn't discover Le Refuge years ago.

A lovely hotel offering great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast room on the 5th floor gives beautiful views across the lake and valley and the food was very good. It is located in a brilliant position where you can ski to within 20 yards of the hotel door. The bedrooms are clean, modern and nicely furnished. I strongly recommend this hotel

Fantastic stay - the staff were universally wonderful and the proof of the pudding - we have already booked again for next year. What more recommendation can I say?! - This was my review last year. Just stayed again and I was not disappointed. Highly recommended. We will be going back in 2018.

It was a wonderful hotel stay. It had all the pleasantries you would need and the perfect access to the slopes. You walk out the door and you can hop on the lift up the top of the mountain. It is in a great town location with restaurants, market and more shops all within walking distance. I highly recommend!
