Rodos Star Hotel

Brilliant hotel.. don’t know why it’s a 3, definitely a 4 star. Great food, unlimited kebabs after 1pm which is a dream. Clean rooms with good room service, pool is ice cold however.. good entertainment. Location isn’t great as it’s up a steep hill and slightly remote but nothing to ruin the holiday all in all 7.5/10 definitely recommend.

My best and very affordable holiday, it's small hotel which is perfect, you don't need walk miles to get to anywhere, everyone friendly speak English, chefs are amazing everyone works hard, so please appreciate them with a little tips end of your stay. We have arrived late and a sandwich waited for us in the bar,which i didnt had it on other places at for 4* hotel so was surprised;) will be back Thank you guys big kiss. They have a break now from November so enjoy we worked hard for it ;)

Firstly, we will absolutely be coming back!!

Secondly, what a wonderful holiday we had. The rooms are adequate, clean and homely. Air conditioning available, with a nice little fridge, too. Beds are comfortable, and cleaned every day, with fresh linen and towels.

The staff are over and above friendly, it actually feels like they care about you, your holiday and you form a relationship with them.

The pool is a little chilly, but takes you away from the scorching heat nicely. The bar by the pool is great, too.

Food is more than fine (despite some complaints from others - maybe too fussy?) with plenty of selection available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The hotel IS at the top of quite a steep hill (we weren’t aware of this), but as a fit, active couple in our 30s, this wasn’t an issue. The beach is a good 30 minute walk, with not much there - but my lord it is gorgeous!! The sea was lovely and quite warm too.

We can’t wait to see you all again!

Staff are excellent , rooms are roomy and comfy and clean. Food is spot on, every choice, pork, chick, lamb, mince, fish, greek salads of many, pasta , pizza every sauce . Chips, baked potato etc what more do you need. Toasties all day on all incl
Only 3 things let this hotel down , no free wifi, 7euro a day for room , really needs a shuttle bus for the steep hill . Great holiday thank you to you all at Rodos Star xx

This is a lovely family feel hotel .
We have just stayed a week there and enjoyed every moment of it.
Moss the manager is professional and so caring she is amazing.
If you need anything just ask and they will aim to make it happen .
We stayed in a room with our own pool which was lovely and clean and bright .
The staff all work so hard and aim to please you.
Every is cleaned daily so always lovely and tidy

I have just got back from a week in the sun at Rodos Star Hotel and I loved it. I traveled with two of my best friends and all three of us enjoyed ourselves, It was more of a lads so obviously we love how close it is to Falarki but also we was in Rhodes so sight seeing is key.

The hotel is situated at the top of a hill but the hill is really not that bad. Nothing wrong with walking up it, it is fairly steep but us three like a bit of a challenge and we needed to burn off all the Gyro's that we had feasted on.

We were given room 307 which is situated on the top floor in the old building. You open the door and a nice little bathroom is on your right. It has a bath and a shower with a loo and a sin; a bit small but we didn't really care. You have a wardrobe just opposite the bathroom. Walk in a bit further you are created by two beds both which have a table and a lamp next to them. Separated by a wall there are two more beds, a desk and a TV. This room is where the air-con was, however it struggled to reach the first room; the cool air did reach it, just took a while. Lastly you have a balcony with a mountain view. You can see the beautiful Mediterranean Sea on the left and the pool below on the right; there was a table and two seats situated on the balcony which are nice to chill out on in the evening when waiting for tea. All in all the room was great for us and our needs.

Outside you have a pool and sunbeds along with a snack bar and a poolside bar. You do have to get up a bit early, about when breakfast starts, to reserve your sunbeds but it's no problem because your on holiday so you're going to be up anyway as you don't want to miss any sun. The pool itself is a nice decent sized one. Very clean and very easy to get in and out of due to the steps. The poolside bar is great for refreshing drinks and some cheeky cocktails. At the bar you are served by Jordan who is an amazing guy. He loved speaking to us and we loved speaking to him. We shared some laughs and he has his music on which is great. No old songs, all up-to date and familiar ones.

The food is served in the Nectar Restaurant. It is a buffet style affair and there is plenty to choose from. You can have something hot or cold and there is plenty of melon which I love when in the sun. At lunch they would also have the gyro's on the go (kebab) and they where gorgeous; they are better in Greece and are nothing like the ones from your local takeaway. The highlight of eating in the restaurant was the lovely waitresses all three of them are lovely. Paulina is one of them and she loved talking to us. She is very friendly and she is happy to help you with whatever you need.

In the evening the inside bar is open but all-inclusive ends at 11, by then though us three probably had enough to drink anyway. All the cocktails are nice and there is plenty to choose from.

The staff are what make the hotel. All are lovely and happy to help. They each have their own personality and characteristics that help make the hotel and your holiday. Without them, the hotel probably wouldn't be as great.

All in all we enjoyed our stay, you do defiantly get what you pay for and we will defiantly be back.

Please if you have any doubts about this place, don't be scared, go and try it. If you don't like it then you need a very good excuse not too. This is a really good place and pit stop if you're travelling. You have nothing to loose!

We arrived 7 days ago and love it, i'm 49 and my partner is 50. Plenty of great food, alcohol and friendly helpful staff. The family that run the hotel are really lovely. We have 7 days left and i can honestly say that we will be back. We had singers called Yannis and they were really good and Greek night was a giggle and entertaining. The pool is a good spot to enjoy the sun and relax. I like a good moan but this hotel hasn't given me a reason to. The rooms have a fridge, hairdryer, tv with a movie channel and they are well kept and spacious. Moss will do all she can for you and make you welcome.

At the Rodos Star right now with my daughter (our 1st ever holiday abroad) and 2 friends who have travelled abroad before, having a great time and don't want to go home on Saturday ?

Lovely quiet hotel, everyone is lovely the staff are fab very friendly and moss the hotel manager is lovely, very helpful and can’t do enough for you, we even added a laundry service to our stay which is great and it was no trouble at all for moss to sort for us ( even though the actual hotel doesn’t provide this service as such)…. I’m here with my daughter and we are having a lovely time 1 week down and another still to enjoy, the hill isn’t as bad as people are saying as I came here with a sprained ankle and I’m a larger lady and I’ve managed it yes with a bit of effort but it’s just not that bad at all…… could do with a kettle in the room but I appreciate not all hotels have this service….on the whole having a fab time.
