Where to stay in Afantou

Friendly family hotel, great value and fun! Excellent entertainment and offerings throughout the day. A lovely shop located inside the hotel which has everything and at a very good price. Would recommend to families and couples to visit this place. Located near a beautiful beach, which we used daily.

We have just had a weeks stay at the hotel and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 3 and found that there was plenty to do for adults and children (although our 8 year old daughter never attended the kids club). Good choice for low cost vacation. People are kind, area is calm, food was tasty. Only rooms needs to be renovated, but then price will be higher.

Nice, average hotel. Beach is very quiet, just a short walk away. But any more attrctions, activities or even a main street is pretty far away on foot. One big plus is excellent food.

Honestly most things were ok. But for what we paid I’m not sure ok is ok. There were cleanliness issues, dead ants not cleared up after their run in with a fair amount of insect killer , repairs that hadn’t been completed like the hole in the back of the bathroom door. Lovely hotel, very clean and good food choice. Hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. Pool and facilities are great excellent for kids and adults. Quite a small hotel but the staff are lovely, very quick to help with any issues we had. You do have to pay for the internet which is unfortunate as we were told this was included when we booked, however it wasn’t overly expensive. Really nice hotel, with comfortable spacious rooms. The food is nice and there is plenty of selection. They had gluten free bread available, but no totally gluten free options (like most places in Greece) This hotel is a long way from the town and other amenities, so it's great if you want isolation. All round our trip was amazing however we were hit with a €70 charge at checkout which was a €10 tax on the room for each night, we were not made aware of this when booking or at check in so please be aware before booking.

I recently stayed at Afandou Bay Resort Suites and had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The buffet was extensive and delicious, offering a great variety of options. A special thanks to Ms. Mary at the reception for her exceptional service and kindness. Plus, the beach is just a short walk away from the hotel!

A really nice experience in a clean and comfortable resort, with very friendly staff, eager to help you and make your stay an enjoyable experience (special thanks to Mary in the reception❤️). It is close to the seaside, walking distance of like 2mins. If you don't intend on renting a car, have in mind that taxi service won't be easy to find, especially in the night.

Staff were amazing for example, we showed up late (2 AM) yet the gentleman at reception make us a meal as we hadn't eaten for hours. Location is great short walk to beach loads of restaurants and stuff along beach also short walk to the town. However only downside which is small is the room as the TV had little English options bar BBC and SKY news and the AC was capped at lowest of 21°C so quite difficult...

The rooms are worse. We got transferred to there because the other hotel needed some water repairs. The AC didn't give cold air, the mini frigider was not even good we put food and water in itt. The outside of the mini frigider was hot and the INSIDE TOO. At least the staff was very good with us. The outside pool was good, but little for me.

I quite liked the hotel. It is situated right next to a busy road but thanks to the set up and gardens you will not hear anything from the room. Stayed a week last year. Perfect place for families. Relaxing atmosphere. The "zoo" with all tbe farm animals perfect for kids

My family came to stay here a few years ago and we had an absolutely incredible time. The location isn't ideal as there isn't too much to do outside of the grounds (a bus stop is right outside however) but the actual hotel, pool and facilities are brilliant. A special mention to the staff who, at the time; were absolutely fabulous.

I was there .. well its years ago. A bit of a travel to the beach as such.. Poor greek dude had to take a car for the luggage the steep hill getting in. Managemt was really good. And it was CLEAN!!! And honesty was key.. you could help your self with beer 24/7 just leave cash. I do not know if the same malakas run it at this point. I hope they do as it was a great hotell. For a 2 star hotel it’s been amazing!!, honestly could not fault them on anything so accommodating and friendly lovely people. Very nice family hotel with 22 rooms in the village of Afandou. Not far from the sea, you can walk to the beach. Greek atmosphere, great owners, friendly and always helpful. Recommended.

Best staff in Greece! Family style hotel. You have to feel the atmosphere and after that you keep coming back. Five times for me now. Ask for special meals a day ahead and they will cook you the best food in Greece!

We seriously love this place and make sure to return every year for at least a week or two. The apartments are older, but spotlessly clean and well kept. The main appeal is how calm and remote this place is, quiet, with just the sound of wind, seawaves and gorgeous seaview. The owners are really nice people too :)

We decided this time to come for Lunch here. The food was good and they were big portions but the service is very slow. Long waiting time until we get the Menu, then long until we can order and another long time until the food arrives :( quite annoying if you want to spend as much time as possible at the beach.

A fantastic, calm, homely and peaceful stay in the most tranquil and peaceful part of Rhodes, away from mass tourism. The hosts are kind and hospitable, prices absolutely fair.
