Hotel Varonos

Very clean room,perfect view and very friendly and helpful staff

Came here on a school trip, room of 3. The view is absolutely amazing, from the balcony you can see both the city of Itea and the mountains surrounding it. At night you can see lots of stars. Very beautiful.

This view does depend on which room you are in. Some of our friends got the rooms on the opposite side of the hotel and only had view on the street below. Others didnt even have a balcony.

The rooms themselves are a little cramped. But the beds are fine and so is the bathroom. The shower is a little small but enough to get the job done. The walls are a bit thin though so you can hear the neighbouring rooms quite well.

The breakfast was alright, I had bread and some yoghurt. They do have a little bakery connected to the hotel, but I didnt get the chance to check it out.

Furthermore the lobby was very cozy, when we were there it was even decorated with christmas ornaments and a big christmas tree.

Moreover the streets were very empty when we went out. Rarely anyone to be seen and thus very quiet. Probably because we went in december. Whats nice tho is that the hotel is located very close to the delphi archeological site. It only took about 10 mins to walk there with our group.

The rooms are basic but clean and the back rooms have a nice view. It is located ideally in the middle of the village, so easy access to all restaurants and shops, and you can easily walk to the archaeological site too. Breakfast was ok. Only had boiled eggs and no bacon (had some sausage pies), but the coffee was good.

I lost my headphones at the hotel.
One day later, when I was already in Olympia, I realised and since I was with my school, I couldn't go back to get them back.
I called the hotel and got an email address.
2 emails later, and they let me know they found my headphones.
I paid for the costs, and they send them back. The rest is history.

Btw the hotel itself is also wonderful, beautiful location and the rooms themselves were very fine too.

We were able to get a room (family suite) at the last minute here as our other booked hotel did not have adjoining rooms available.
Service was great, including breakfast and in the attached shoppe for an afternoon coffee/drink.
Rooms were comfortable and the view from the balcony was amazing.

Only Downside of the rooms were the beds were stiff and someone was smoking in one of the nearby rooms. We couldn’t smell it in our rooms but it was very noticeable in the hallway.
Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable stay and would recommend

Very good atmosphere. The proprietors were extremely nice as well as helpful. A somewhat old decoration in the rooms that however still have AC and are decent. Overall good experience.

Loved this place. Fantastic views from the sea view rooms. Great service and friendly staff from this family run place. Also, everything you need is within walking distance and they've a great little shop that sells amongst other things, very good hand made Tsiporou.

Extremely friendly, they allowed us to check in very early as our bus arrived at 10:30 AM. Great view of the valley from our balcony.
