Reviews
I had a great experience here! The staff were very helpful and accommodating — since I stayed longer, they kindly changed my room for me three times without any problems. The views of Gytheio port are beautiful and really made the stay special.
The only downside was parking. Between July 20th and August 20th, there’s no hotel parking available, so I sometimes had to search for up to an hour and walk a long distance back. But,
If you plan to enjoy activities in and around Gytheio, having a car is almost essential. The town itself is walkable, but many of the best experiences are spread out along the coast or tucked into the surrounding hills. Beautiful beaches like Mavrovouni or Valtaki, cultural sites such as the ancient theatre of Gytheio, and day trips to Mani or Monemvasia are much easier to reach with your own vehicle.
Public transportation is limited, and taxis can be expensive for frequent trips. With a car, you’ll have the flexibility to explore at your own pace, discover hidden coves, stop at small tavernas along the way, and enjoy the scenic drives that make Laconia so special. For travelers who want more than just the town center, renting or bringing a car makes the difference between seeing a little and truly experiencing everything Gytheio has to offer.
Other than that, everything else was excellent, and I’d happily stay again!
We could not sleep until 3am and from 6am again.
We have asked for a quiet room.
