Vournelis Beach Hotel and Spa in Iraklitsa

We recently stayed 8 days at this hotel.
Eli, Anastasia and Evangelis were such welcoming hosts who take great pride in providing an excellent A one experience.
Our room was better than expected and immaculate, bed and pillows comfortable, air conditioner always working. Our bathroom was very clean and the shower had consistent hot water with wonderful towels. The beach was sandy with clear, clean water and the thick lounge chairs were outstanding. The on site restaurant provided excellent food, fresh fish choices daily and daily offerings of Greek dishes. The bar made the best Fredo Cappucino's I have ever tasted. I visited Maria at the Spa for a facial and was so delighted, I also returned for a hot stone massage. Very relaxing. We will definitely return. We thank you for providing our special milestone anniversary with such wonderful memories 🫶

I can't comment on the rooms personally (despite knowing they're great) as I have never stayed at Hotel Vournelis itself. We live just across the street but we use the beach bar and restaurant most days in the summer, and have done for the past 20 years. Hand on heart, this year (2023) is their best yet. Service is the best on Iraklitsa beach, and the water is clean and usually calm. They have lots of sun loungers, but be aware that the weekend is always packed. If you get an umbrella space (for two people), all you need to do is a buy a drink in order to stay there. The restaurant food is the best it's ever been, but our favourite part is the Marinis Spa where you can relax and get a fantastic massage. Vournelis is a fantastic place to stay for the summer!

If location is everything, Vournelis has already won. On your own terrace you are at the beach already. The sand and sea are clean and welcoming, the hotel provides entertainment equipment. And that is not all. The hotel service is impeccable - modern, generously equipped rooms, daily cleaning and refilling of supplies, great variety of food for breakfast, individual care for all guest requests. Then the restaurant - delicious food, superb organisation for handling the peak flows of hungry guests at lunch and dinner, customised reservations. The bar and beach - refreshing, tasty, timely, from the morning coffee, through the snacks and shakes, to the evening cocktails and good-night tequila shots. And the spa, oh, the spa! What would be a good word, nourishing? Pampering? Who am I fooling, it is downright spoiling, just as we deserve! All staff members were genuinely friendly and I am looking forward to our next stay.

Wonderful hotel, great choice for a vacation! The rooms are new and very clean. The host... well wonderful is not enough to cover it. She tended to all our need no matter how strange they were and she was so positive and always smiling.

I would definitely come here again next time I plan vacation in Greece!

This hotel is direct to the sea. There is a restaurant and a beach bar too. It is the perfect place to stay if you have children or if you want to relax. The rooms are very nice . They clean and they change towels every day. I recommend it to everybody who needs to be near the sea and eat good food.

food quality has improved significantly since the last time I was here. Good portions, reasonable prices, and excellent preparation. A daily staple for our Greek vacation.

The hosts are very friendly!

The hotel and the area around are clean. You can enjoy a good breakfast in the hotel. Also, there is a tavern between the hotel and the beach where you can try various seafood and traditional meals.

There is a an elevator in the hotel. The air conditioner can work even when you are not in the room. The wi-fi connection was not very good - sometimes the network was not available and the speed of the Internet connection was not very fast.

The location of the hotel is great. It is located on the beach. Nea Iraklitsa is about 1.5 km far away, however, the distance is great for walking or jogging. There is a small road by the sea that is perfect for walking to Nea Iraklitsa. The problem is that there are no street lights and it is very dark in the evening and the main road seems to be too dangerous because of the fast driving cars. The Lidl supermarket is not far away - it is located between the hotel and Nea Iraklitsa.

There is a parking for the guests of the hotel. It is a bit tight when all the guests park their cars, but usually you can find a place for your car. Alternatively, you can park your car on the other side of the main road.

The beach in front of the hotel is good. There are a couple of beach bars.

It is a definitely a great place for vacation!

Small, simple rooms, but sufficient, and the restaurant had a lovely setting on the beach. Very good seafood, too.
