Where to stay in Kavala

Good location, good food, spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds, good views. The friendliness of the restaurant personnel varies. The younger ones are very friendly and eager to please but do not speak much and seem nervous. One of the older ones takes all the beverage orders, and he is unfriendly to the guests and bosses the younger ones around.

Nice location, interesting architecture of the building, spacious areas. Renovation and maintenance in soecific areas is mandatory. Cleaning staff and the guys who help with the luggage were extremely polite, especially the tall big guy is an asset for the hotel with his welcoming attitude and remarkable client orientation. Reception staff could be more smiley and pleasant.

A lovely hotel, sat on its own slightly out of town but near another bar, a fabulous cake shop and a few amazing Gyros places. The pool was quiet and it had two beaches easily accessibly directly from the hotel.

Excellent hotel with amazing views and great staff. Location couldn’t be better away from the busy downtown yet only 4 min drive away with tons of restaurants around. Most amazing part is that it’s got three beaches and a great pool. Only downside is parking at times could be challenging.

I really love this hotel every time when I visited. This was third time. But this time we have problem on the cit but from guest relation Vasilis help us a lot and i appreciate for it it was too much thanks again for everything. Feyza

In general the services in kavala is not the best and specially in restaurants ... wait to order .. bringing you the foods and giving you the plates by hands and you to place it at your table , very strange !!! Finishing eating ? Order the bill and wait ✋️ to clean the table and bring the bill ? Can take 15 to 30 minutes... At least the food is tasty But it's not the same case in Lucy hotel Perfect...

Rooms dated, but fully functional for those, like me, on a budget. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, with staff able to cope with the coach of people that were staying. Also hot things laid out in one place so you had to queue there and then queue again for other things meaning your hot food for cold. Great location though.

Location is good, you maybe will have a problem with the parking - they dinted have. Also the room is so dirty and noisy. You can hear the people from the other room when they are in the WC😬 Also the AiC is so bad. One good thing is the location of the hotel. 10 min to center and 10 min from some beach.

A 3-star review for a 3 star hotel. First, we got on the wrong foot when they gave us a dirty room. It was supposed to be 'recently renovated' but had stains on the furniture and on the walls. Very clean hotel, nice rooms, and very good location. There is a parking lot on the other side of the road, but there is a market organized there during weekend, so you can't leave your car there on that period. However, there is a local parking spot on the left side of the hotel, a few blocks away.

The location is great. It is directly in the city and close the everything. The view from the balcony is also amazing. Breakfast is kind of basic but good and filling. Now to the negative; when I first arrived I found 3 little bugs/flies on the bed. This made me worried and therefore I started to check the beds and the sheets. The hotel is ok, it is right in the middle of Kavala, so a very good location - with many rooms having views of the harbour area. You can walk into the area of the harbour, shops and cafe bars. Excellent breakfast buffet with great variety of savoury and sweet food. Staff very friendly. The rooms were good. Try to book a sea view room from amazing views to the sea and the old town.

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and ready to fulfill our demands. We had a great view, over the City and the sea. The only one problem was the parking and I strongly recommend asking the employees at the reception about the places and hours of parking. We also served breakfast on the roof garden, and both the food and the view were amazing.

The staff in front office, breakfast and rooftop - swimming pool are very friendly and amazing. If you looking for one value for money hotel the Oceanis hotel is a very good option. Perfect location, good price, breakfast service is good, clean rooms. only matter is parking facility, but this is common for Greece. I paid €10 for 24h to a close parking area.

Nothing quality served for breakfast, everything of inferior quality even the corn flakes taste like plastic, marmalades just watery jellies, biscuits with margarine, no thing. Rooms are simple, with mini cleanliness issues here and there. The back rooms are a bit noisy from the ventilation power units. Very comfortable place. The location is great, basically you are in the city centre. The room was comfortable and clean, with great size bed. We didn’t book a room with a balcony but the staff was kind and upgraded our reservation. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool, however breakfast was delicious.

We stayed two nights there. The room was nice although bit dated. The location was good and the stuff very friendly. Overall for low budget I will recommend to stay there, very good value for money.

Very nice place with a very artistic lobby, where you can meet anyone you wish (even for professional reasons). The paintings of the famous Greek painter and engraver Takis Tsentemaidis provide a superb quality at the place!

We visited the hotel in early December 2018, the staff was great, very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and and was of a good size. The breakfasts were good. The Nefeli hotelbis a very good Value for money property. I will definitely be staying there on my next visit to Kavala..

The best location in downtown Kavala. You wouldn't ask for anything more to fully enjoy the city. Friendly staff, always doing their best to improve the services and incorporate new practices. The roof garden, operating in summer, offers a fascinating view, one you'll keep in your memory for the rest of your life.

Nice hotel. Maybe the best in Kavala. However now with the CoVid situation the room smelled mold maybe because it was locked up for long it was very hot and humid.

Mountain view is the view of a big road, rooms smell a bit. Spa is not for free (which is not very clear when booking). Still a good deal, friendly staff and very good breakfast.

The atmosphere at Imaret is exceptional. The building is beautiful, and the view amazing. I didn't use the spa, but next time I will certainly do. The dinner was good. The staff was excellent.

Went for breakfast today (you can book this without staying at the hotel), a lovely selection of breads and jams but the star was the young lady who served who was really helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend and can't wait to return!

Been there 5 years ago . Due to my work i visited many countries in Europe, middle east and far east .. Stayed in many hotels with various ratings and stars .. My stay in Imaret by far were and still is the best experience i ever had ..

The place is amazing. We went there for the guided tour. It costs 8euros per person and lasts for 30 minutes. The tour is excellent, the guide is willing to answer any question. Next time we will stay at the hotel, its a must!

Amazing Hotel, amazing historical monument. I totally suggest it, for anyone who visits Kavala. It has some organized tours for everyone, not only the ones staying there. The personnel was very helpful as well

Best apartments in Kavala. Great view to the sea and the island Thassos. Premium rooms, which were recently new designed. The owner is always available and provides very good recommendations for restaurants, beaches and other places to be. Tasty breakfast also availble. This location has a dream panorama, the balcony is equipped with sunshades, tables, chairs and cloth holder, from here you can see the sea, the rooms are spacious and clean, the services are very good, the daily cleaning, the towels and linen are changed, which are very clean. While it has clearly has a dated “Fawlty Towers” of Kavala feel the, frankly, slightly grumpy old lady who runs it, Madame Athena, will open up with some charm to you once you do! The street side rooms are pretty noisy and basic, but room No. 15. which has a harbour views and balcony is spectacular. It's an old hotel at the city center. The host is so nice. It has a wonderful view. It's an old hotel but the sheets and towels are perfectly clean.

Excellent location and very good value for single room. I checked in last minute. This is one of the first hotel in Kavala that has been running since 1935. It has old historical charm and owner lady is one who will check you in and clean your room. Very basic wooden antique furniture, bit dated. Very nice hosts that care about their guests. The traditional house is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The common rooms and the kitchen are also a big plus.
