We really love this very special place far off in the middle of the nature. Eleni, the host, is a beautiful person that takes care in any possible ways!

Amazing view, ok boxy room with some weird aspects concerning the kitchen… as if you are not suppose to use it.. Remotely situated you are in the hand of food and drinks provided by property as nearest grocery is 30 minutes away on gravel roads.

The already beautiful island of Crete shows its best side here. Villa Koutsakis is a small but very charming guesthouse with lovely sea views and the beach on your doorstep, run by the really capable manager Eleni Mountakis. Excellent traditional cuisine is served throughout, including fresh fish from the local fishermen. Anyone who has been there will certainly want to come again.

Lovely place with very friendly hosts, directly in front of the beach. The apartment we rented had a terrace overlooking the sea. Simple and amazing food is cooked by the hosts. Place is very calm, amazing to spend some quiet time.

Very friendly staff that seemed to really care about us having a good stay. The rooms are a bit like concrete boxes but the beach is nice so just don't be in the room unless it's for sleeping. Nice terrace too. Cell phone reception is spotty though but not too big of an issue.

We spend one day here to enjoy the beautiful beach. We only ate at this hotel, and it was a great experience. We had our best Tuna dish and grilled chicken filé here! The staff were amazing. A local business owned by a lovely lady and her (assumingly) partner.

Really an amazing place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. Sindi and Rik are truly welcoming hosts, the house studied in every detail with all the comforts and treats. The outside is a jem, with the private pool, plenty of chairs, beds and the amaca into the extremely cured mediterranean garden. Highly recommended

We stayed with Rik and Sindy for a week and were totally thrilled. Beautiful thoughtful design, the fridge was pre-stocked with yummy little things from the island and we were able to swim in the pool late into the evening. We enjoyed the peace and will definitely be back. The hosts gave us great tips and are incredibly friendly. Many thanks for everything.

Super great bungalow. We were here for 10 days and it was just fantastically beautiful. The owners Rik&Sindy do everything right and are always there if you need anything. The fridge was filled for a good 2 days so that you didn't starve to death right away :-) There is also a small mini market 5 minutes' walk away where you can buy the essentials. A small piece of paradise on the edge of a lovely traditional village. The bungalows are perfect....super stylish with high quality design and decor. The pool is like an art installation....a concrete masterpiece. The hosts are superbly chilled, generous and helpful. An absolute must-stay!

The room was clean and comfortable. Great hospitality! Warm welcoming with coffee and fruits and great breakfast! The location is ideal to explore the area. I would come again!

Wow, I have never experienced such hospitality before! The lady made me coffee and gave me cake when I stopped by since I thought that this place is a restaurant which I then obviously figured out wasn’t. Amazing hotel, with a practically private beach. Clean rooms, super helpful and polite staff. There is a taverna on the premises, offering a great value for money menu with locally sourced vegetables and meat. A special shout out for Markos and Yiannis. A true Cretan hospitality experience. We'll definitely be coming back (soon I hope)

I loved this place. I lived there for a week in July '22. The family is nice and helpful. The road to get there is scary only on the first day, after that you get used to it. And that's the magic of south coast roads, you never know what's around the next bend! The car is "the must", you can't get far from there on foot! Very quiet place, the owners are amazing and understanding. If you want to be isolated from the rest of the world this is your place! The rooms are just next to the beach and they have a very well priced taverna for all your meals.

Charming family-owned and operated hotel + taverna near Agiofarago Beach. There are some up-scale accommodations down hill from the check-in site + taverna. You are really staying on a farm B&B: they have cute sheep grazing a nice distance from the rooms, and a greenhouse that supplies the kitchen. The lamb we had was grown on the farm, and they let us buy some sweet peppers for our picnic lunches...

A beautiful house with a nice garden and terrace, the latter overlooking some stunning countryside. The house is well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Manolis is a wonderful host who took his time to explain the area to us and recommend sites to visit. Sivas is a lovely village in proximity to some of the most important sites of the area.

I'm just sitting here enjoying a cup of sage tea the owner gave me and remembering that I haven't left a review for this property yet. The house is a beautiful, traditional Stone Cretan house with history in a wonderful quiet neighborhood! The beds are very big and comfy! Kitchen is full equipped! Bathroom is cozy and clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful to give recommendations to visit beautiful beaches in the round area!

Beautiful place near Matala. Apartaments nicely decorated with refurbished antiques which give a stylish touch to the apartments. The bougainvillea tree outside is a dream come true. This is a nice house with beautiful garden. We spent two nights there. The village is very traditional with good restaurants. The beaches are close (by car). Jodi is a nice and warm person. We enjoyed our time there.

Very nice guesthouse in the village, kind people, big rooms with air conditioning. The only bad thing is that the balconies of some rooms communicate, that is, they do not have a partition. Also it would be good if there was a parking space because it is difficult to find a place. Maybe the Municipality should make sure to create a municipal parking lot.

The pension is in the middle of the village, three scraps from the market place, wonderful view of the mountains, the sea and the surrounding villages, very pleasant rooms and bathrooms or showers with a large balcony, kitchen with dishes above. Kirsten is a suerberb host. She makes welcoming atmosphere and in spacious and cosy Arethousa apartments you got this home like feeling. Moreover Pitsidia is way more fun to stay than Matala. Thanks for all recommendations, we really had an amazing stay thanks to you.

After a 2 year break we were again in the Aretoussa Pension. We found the room sparkling clean. This was cleaned regularly and stocked with fresh towels and fresh bed linen. On request, breakfast can be freshly prepared and served in the morning. Kerstin is always available and has an open ear for her guests. We relaxed very well during the week in Pitsidia and would go back in a heartbeat. Greetings...

Wonderfully located guesthouse in warm Pitsidia. The rooms are great, clean, have comfortable large beds, are air-conditioned and offer enough space (even if you don't spend much time in this wonderful area ;-)). The breakfast is also very good, everything is great value for money. Particularly noteworthy is the wonderful operator of the pension; super friendly and courteous and always approachable...

Very cozy, small pension with super nice hosts. Location was great for us. We were able to explore the surrounding area on foot in the first week, and in the 2 weeks we had great excursions with a rental car.

So beautiful! We stayed in the Aretoussa holiday home with a very large terrace. The house was very clean, the decoration is very nice and immediately invites you to feel good. The trees on the terrace are already so big that they provide shade, but there is always a place for sun lovers, e.g. on one of the numerous balconies that offer enough space.
