Where to stay in Badacsonytomaj

Excellent location with a wonderful view over lake Balaton. We stayed here off-season and our group was the only guests which made it a very special experience. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was amazing and they sell great wine. I can only recommend!

On top the hill it's wonderful place and excellent view. very kind staff. well appointed rooms, clean and spacious. well-assorted breakfast with sweet and savory. possibility to eat on the terrace with a panoramic view towards the lake. Recommended!!

This place is beautiful. The view is amazing as it overlooks lake Balaton. You can go on hikes up the mountain or down to the Harbor. The breakfast buffet is decent!

I only stayed one night at Villa Patzay, however I enjoyed it very much. The rooms are really nice and the staff is helpful. Even though I had to leave early, the staff helped me prepare some breakfast to take with me.

We loved our two night stay at Bonvino. The hotel is very conveniently located a short distance from the train and bus stations and near plenty of wineries. The spa was clean and relaxing. The food spreads for breakfast and dinner were excellent and beautifully presented. I would return.

The hotel is ok, but compared to other hotels at the Balaton, it’s got room for improvement. The room wasn’t really clean with hairs in the shower and next to the sink. No drinks in the mini bar and snacks wasn’t exactly inviting. The breakfast was really nice, but the evening meal was not appetising at all due to all the meats being very dry. All in all, the hotel is fine for the price.

Hotel is nice. Unfortunately placed in downtown near entertainment park. Be carefull if you do not like to listen loud music during the late night while in bed already. Check on wine festivals in Badascony before you make your reservation!

Our favourite place to stay in Badacsony. Friendly staff, great food and nice rooms. Dogs are welcome. Wellness is small, but very enjoyable.

The breakfast provided a wide variety of selections that accomodated all types of dietary needs or restrictions. The evening dinner was also an impressive array of meals. I have a gluten free diet and there is a prominantly displayed message board detailing any dietary restrictions the prepared meals may have and each meal is described and the restrictions listed.

It is in a beautiful location with a nice view. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is varied and delicious. There is a nice garden and a pool in the yard. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Great choice with family!

Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning. Variety was nice and we especially liked the coffee. We also enjoyed the garden terrace and the amazing view and the lovely garden.

Nice and well English speaking receptionist. The room n. 10 is beautiful, only bad thing is the bathroom door can't be locked and doesn't give you privacy (sliding door) so it's better suited for families. Beautiful garden, terrace with view, 24h open "wine cellar" where you just pick bottles and pay at checkout. And as soon as you gauge how beautifully everything has been renovated, you realize that the 80’s shower tray embraces it like a sardine box, that your foot hits the edge of the bed while you sleep, that the slab is like a panel: it carries the sound (if they go up stairs above you to the klfa roof terrace) that the reception...

Sophisticated, renovated building with comfortable rooms. Large roof terrace with nice views, self-service wine room on the ground floor. Varied breakfast. Their coffee could have been a little better.

Recently renovated, cozy place. Nice staff, self-service wine cellar, roof terrace, good breakfast, air-conditioned rooms. The beach is very close on foot and there are many good restaurants in the area within walking distance.

Beautiful inside and out, they pay a lot of attention to cleanliness, the view from the roof terrace is very nice, and there is a “wine cellar” like it, where we can choose to our liking. I would love to come back here in the future! :)

It's not a coincidence if the restaurant is full of guests. Quality food, excellent service, special and amazing drinks, great location. We all had our meals there with maximum satisfaction. This place was recommended by a local. The place looked amazing and it had a nice atmosphere to it, the table setting and lights makes it very cozy and fun. I ordered the fish goulash, the meal came with a cottage pasta. The pasta wasn’t done right and the fish had a bad taste. Didn’t like the meal at all. The desert wasn’t good. My colleague ordered a different meal and that one came better but still...

Nice campsite! We only stayed for one night but will be back if we are around the Balaton lake. It has it's own private beach and bar. Staff speaks English and German.

A large and popular campsite on the edge of the lake. Good facilities, but they could do with adding water points and toilets in the outer sections as it's quite a long walk. Nice little waterfront with steps down. 30+m of shallow water (waist deep) good for games and kids playing, before it gets deeper. Very fine silt on the bottom, so the water looks cloudy but is clean. Hilariously, the camp/cafe...

First the good: Big plots, acces to the lake, friendly staff, free access to pingpong equipment and rental of water vehicles The bad: Hygiene on toilets was poor and it was almost impossible to manage the registration process in English.

A very good camping price wise, the staff is very friendly and useful. A little bar for snack and draft beer, a beach very close with a safeguard. Close to local shop for food and wine , a very interesting butcher in the center of the village.a perfect spot,if you are here to visit Balaton winery.

Good camping site at the Balaton lake with own small beach. Lots of bungalows and some caravan and tent parcels. Own beach restaurant. Clean toilets and quite good showers. Unfortunately parcels are quite small and their borders are quite unclear, thanks to the special corner stone system. No camping shop. Table tennis and badminton rackets are available from reception.

This hotel is located on the beach of Lake Balaton, with very nice surrounding in Badacsony. All member of the staff was very polite and helpful. I visited there to celebrate my birthday, with my daughter and her fiancé. We all was very satisfied, and enjoyed very well this nice weekend. The rooms are nice, very clean, and well equiped, with beautiful view to the lake Balaton. The dinner was tasty...

Nice hungarian style cuisine. Price-value ratio is good here. Very kind and helpful staff. Delicious food. We were very hungy when we areived to Badacsonytomaj and this was the 1st retaurant we saw and decided to try. We were happy because we've got what we wanted. In this type of restaurant it was very nice experience.

Ne itt reggelizz! You can not take your food from buffet breakfast, waiters serve you so slowly. Bad powder coffee. Not drinkable. Also juice. Dirty and too small glasses. Good water melon and cheese. Fresh bread and bakery products. But all in all would not come back...

We had an amazing (though short) time at the Badacsony camping! Loved the private beach and the cleanliness, not so much the noise coming from the town (not the camping's fault). You can also rent SUP boards and other watersport items. The staff was very friendly

Quit, small camping,not too crowded, near the lake. Sauna in the camping,restaurant with breakfast,lunch and dinner. You can rent bicycle, sup and kayak here. 500 meters from Badacsony centre.

Very nice quite place! Camping is quite small and its big attitude of this place, you are avoiding all these crouds.... Toilets are clean, personel is very helpfull. Parcels for campers are quite big-only pitty that not all are shaded, and equiped with access to electricity. Kids will find small playground for them selves- could be little bit better equiped. Great very private camping - it's small but when you want to relax - it's just for you . It's near to huge moutanin badacsony . A short walk from camping you can go to the city of badacsony or to a cute vine testing places . Houses are clean and nice .

Excellent. I’ve been here multiple times, enjoy their breakfast — they take great care to use only organic and local ingredients, and serve you food made with lots of love. The matcha latte is some of the best around, while - if you’re into it for breakfast - the sparkling wine is fully natural (organic, untreated). Service is excellent throughout and the outdoor seating in the backyard is peaceful...

We did not stay in the room, we just came here for the breakfast! It was a very pleasant little garden and the eggs were excellent. The only negative was that our table was invaded by wasps because of our sweet drinks 🐝

Place was in quiet area near very nice winery. There was Sauna and Jacuzzi what you could use. It was nice to drink morning coffe in terrace and breakfast was good.

The location and views are fantastic, but unfortunately the hospitality is not of the same standard. Instead of the room booked, we received the "best" as a gift, which was a pleasant surprise to the door. Upon entering, dense cobwebs, dead flies, dust, limescale kettles, used capsules forgotten in the coffee machine were received - although instead of the 15 hours indicated on the booking, the room...

My partner and I had a great time. We received a rich, delicious breakfast every morning. The bed was super comfortable, the wines are delicious, the view is sumptuous, I recommend it to everyone! 😉

Fantastic ambience and hospitality, magnificent views!

This is an old winemaker’s house, situated just on top of Lake Balaton. The view is stunning, the rooms are great (and have a/c) and there are two terraces you can use for sunbathing. The wine cellar downstairs is really cool, and of course they serve their own wine too.

I can only recommend the place! The environment is fantastic! Everything is given for a pleasant rest ....., with everything .... also ... van is equipped ... A wine cellar is also included in the accommodation .. az, drinks included, wines, soda, pálinkai, which can be paid at the box office .... Everything is old and home-built ... but still everything is super !!!!

Simple menu with good quality food and reasonably priced dishes. Rented a holiday home a few streets away and ended up getting take out a few times and eating in the restaurant twice. Just a short stroll from Badacsonylábdihegy station and beach.

Lovely place, spotless clean with caring staff (however you better learn some words in Deutsch, if not Hungarian, just to be nice 😊). Located very near to the lake, surrounded by vineyards.. what a bliss!

We had a great time with this accommodation. They were really friendly and helpful. We have a baby and it was totally easy to stay here and enjoy the stay with them. The restaurant in the evening is the highlight of this hotel! Highly recommended to try the dinner with them. Fish soup, salad and main courses are marvelous!

Young, fresh, interesting! Once the steep stairway escaladed, you are feeling yourself as a real guest. Awaited with a glass of house made Hugo, seated on a terrace with a stunning view, you probably don’t expect much more. But you have the food, and what a food! Another landmard you should not miss!

I can't even put our experience into words. Excellent fine-dining experience with such chillout atmosphere, the staff made us truly feel welcomed and home. I mean to us this is true hospitality! We tried their ”Villa kabala in a box” which was great. They prepared everything and we followed the instructions on utube. Great food and and wine. Perfect for the COVID-19 lock-down.

Unfortunately we couldn't eat there because we had no reservation, and they were full even on Monday noon. But from what we've seen, it must be a really pleasant place to eat, so we'll return for sure. The view is breathtaking.

Excellent lakeside place for a super relaxing vacation. Great facilities, nice and helpful staff. Dog friendly, which is a great advantage for us. The best dog beach in the country is just a few minutes away.

Amazing view from the terrace with Szigliget and Balaton, but food is just okay. Pork medallions to dry and lacking any characteristic taste, fish also weak, sides we good (pasta and mushrooms).

In the past few years, we have stayed at the Judit Panzio 4 times. A great starting point for excursions (Tapolca, Szigliget, Sümeg, Keszthely...). The breakfast is hearty, the rooms are clean, the view is beautiful (especially from the jacuzzi), the owners are kind and flexible. We never missed the jacuzzi, it was prepared exactly for the early evening time agreed in the morning and we were able to...

A perfect place for rest and relaxation! The rooms are well equipped, aesthetic, sophisticated and spacious. The bathroom is also equipped with everything, and its ventilation is perfect. For those who are forgetful, the lights are switched on automatically. The blackout curtains make it really dark in the rooms, but the view from the balcony is very nice, so it's not worth pulling it. Our host provided...

We appreciated the garden and pool as we had been cycling round lake balaton for the past three days. The rooms and communal sitting areas were all clean and well decorated. Cecilia the host was very helpful and booked taxis for us to go to a restraunt to meet our group.
