Unfortunately, our stay at the beautiful Balaton ended disappointingly. When paying, the amount we agreed on over the phone turned out to be 100 euros higher. Despite many conversations and 3 attempts to address the issue, the lady tried to convince me with a smile on her face that I was wrong. Despite showing the price on the official booking website, which was much lower, the hotel priced itself higher. We would not have decided to rent this room for such a price. The standard did not correspond to such a price. It is safest to book officially through booking, because you do not know exactly how much the holiday will ultimately cost...

Kakadu hotel is situated in a quiet piece of town. There is a gas-station approximately 100-150 meters away. The personnel was very nice and they spoke German and English. Breakfest is buffet type and I found it tasty. I can only recommend this hotel.

Ideal Place to spend a few days with your family close to Balaton Lake. Super friendly staff, very good service for families with small children

It's a very rare case, when I haven't to say any bad word. Actually, I want to thank all the hotel staff and the hotel owners, who provided excellent service and made our trip amazing. Very kind, direct and supportive people, who do their job excellent way. You don't see any stupid pathos, don't hear any formal hypocritical phrases, but you constantly feel that you are really welcome and that these people are ready to help you anytime. No imposed service, when you are forced to overpay for something, you don't need at all. No annoying offers or unnecessary questions. Nothing like that! However, if you want to purchase some extra service or goods, you are welcome to do it there.
The hotel is calm, family friendly, pretty democratic. You can see there many young couples, old couples, families with kids. The rooms have safe, tv, conditioner and even a mini kitchen with fridge. Also, a cozy balcony with real flowers.
Comfy and smart outfit: enough of parking places, clean sunny interiors, beautiful yards, parrots, fishes in the garden pond, playground for kids, ping pong and of course outer and inner pools and even a warm jacuzzi among exotic trees. You don't need to leave the territory for some extra activity.
However, this hotel is a fine gate into the city: it makes the first pleasant impression about Keszthely. Btw the city is worthy to see: it has a nice southern spirit and is full of interesting museums and galleries.

Nice hotel however far from superior level. Staff is kind but not really flexible e.g.: invoice can be asked only from morning staff.

A bit of a time travel to the late 90's. (+ broadband internet over WiFi). Not up to the latest developments, yet very friendly and comfortable space to stay. Decent wellness features, indoor and outside pool, a jacuzzi, not overly huge, but sufficient. The Libás-strand is in like 10 minutes walk, the port and promenade of Keszthely is approx. minutes.
The diner is pre-selected from two menus for the week, not the usual all-you-can-eat-from-the-menu protocol, yet the dishes are delicius, and will not you leave hungry for sure.
The staff is very friendly and supportive.
There is an in-house dentist even!
