Kistücsök Food & Room

We visit Kistücsök once a year, and once again everything was perfect. Our server was kind and highly professional, and the service was flawless.

We tried two different soups, both were excellent. The crispy pork knuckle, the “túrós csusza” pasta, and the classic “madártej” dessert were all outstanding and delivered the consistent high quality we always expect here.

Kistücsök remains a true benchmark for us every year — great food, attentive service, and unwavering professionalism. Always a pleasure to return.

Highly recommended restaurant - one of the finest at Lake Balaton. Good location, very nice service and excellent dishes. Kistücsök-mix starter plate is delicious, deer steak is just soft and tasty, pumpkin rozotto is simple and fresh - loved it. Very popular place, reservation is rather a must.

Lunch at Kistücsök Food&Room was truly something special, and it’s clear why they’ve earned a Michelin star.

I had the duck breast with cantaloupe, both fresh pieces and a silky sauce, and it was phenomenal. The duck was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, with the sweet melon adding just the right contrast. It was creative, balanced, and absolutely delicious.

Dessert was just as memorable: a corn pudding paired with caramel ice cream and raspberry sauce. Sounds simple, but it was full of subtle flavours and texture. Sweet, creamy, with a hint of tartness from the raspberry - it hit all the right notes.

The service was warm, the setting relaxed yet refined, and everything felt carefully thought through without being over the top.

If you’re into food that surprises and satisfies in equal measure, Kistücsök is a must-visit. Well deserved Michelin star!

We came for a late lunch because there were no free tables left for dinner. It’s worth booking 2-3 days ahead if you want to come at a later time. The place is very beautiful; we got a table on the outdoor terrace, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I recommend that, if possible, don’t ask for a table by the wall next to the main road at lunchtime—even though the traffic isn’t too heavy, it can be a bit disturbing when motorcyclists rev their engines at the red light.

The service was really, really good, the waiter was very attentive. My girlfriend just mentioned in passing that she’s kazein intolerant, and they kept it in mind the whole time. When it came to ordering dessert, my girlfriend just quickly said she’d have some of mine and didn’t want a separate one, but they still brought her a spoon too.

The food was also excellent. I had venison loin, and my girlfriend ordered roasted cauliflower with a separate duck breast. We had to wait a bit, but while we waited, they brought us a little appetizer without us having to ask. Everything was really delicious, the venison was well cooked, tender and juicy. The flavors of the cauliflower were in perfect harmony. For dessert, we tried corn pudding, which I’d never had before, it had a very special flavor profile, definitely worth trying.

The coffee was good too; though I ordered an iced coffee, you could still tell that it was made from quality coffee. I can recommend both flavors of lemonade, too: the lemon is pleasantly tart and really lemony, while the passion fruit is fresh and sweet!

Overall, everything was great and we had a really wonderful time!

If it weren't for the fact that there was a breakfast counter behind the room, I think I would have given it full marks. The hotel environment is good, there is a shy and cute boy at the front desk, and there is a menu to order breakfast. Everything seems perfect, but because the room we stayed in was right next to the kitchen counter, there were all kinds of machine running and washing sounds at around five in the morning, which resulted in a bad sleep all night. I hope that if the kitchen could start later, it would be more friendly.

Everything’s is very good indeed. The location, car parking, reception and check-in, the rooms were super, clean, comfortable. The restaurant was simply excellent Diner was superb and breakfast in the morning was everything …. & more. Thank you for a very good stay

This hotel was exceptional! The bed was very comfortable and the modern furnished room was large. We had a patio with two chairs and a table, a refrigerator, plenty of shelving, a large desk, two upholstered chairs, and plenty of lighting and mirrors. The bathroom was wonderful and modern with a large shower and a great heated towel bar which we used to dry our clothes. Many nice touches like fluffy towels, welcome cookies, bottle of water, shower caps, lotion, and other amenities. Although I didn’t use them, my friends said the pool and hot tub were refreshing. The restaurant was lovely, the service impeccable, and the food delicious. The hotel’s design made traveling easy and relaxing. Lovely staff and easy parking. Excellent breakfast as well with made to order eggs and plenty of delicious meats, breads, fruit, yogurt, etc.

Really great choice. Good restaurant and very nice team, with breakfast eggs cooked to order. Clean, quiet, relaxed atmosphere...
We missed a lift when moving luggage, and a pity not having a balcony to enjoy the place even more.
All in all, very recommendable place and hotel, with a great value for money ratio.
