The rooms are spacious enough, the bathrooms are newly renovated. There was a small fridge in our room. Overall, it's quite comfortable. Excellent destination for a relaxing holiday. Peaceful environment, spacious rooms, and excellent, healthy food prepared with care - the dinner was the best part of our stay! The spa area is almost empty (stayed in May) and there are plenty of chairs/loungers.

There is no doubt that the hotel is outdated, but it is super clean and the food is very nice and tasty. Service at the diner is half of the RB hotel price. Even if the hotel was stuck in the 80s, you would have a good time. The only downside is that with Freya Hotel, you do not get access to Thermal World.

I traveled all over the world but this was the perfect hotel! Just one problem, the bathroom was very small. The staff was fast, friednly and offer a perfect service!

Although we asked in advance for a quiet room, we got a room facing a main road and therefore noisy at all hours of the day and night. After we went to reception they changed our room. Varied meals, everyone can find what they like. The pool area is wonderful. Excellent shower.

It's a fair hotel with a fair price. I'd like to see that there's available WiFi in the hotel rooms but I wasn't so lucky.

No reviews since 2018 . . . let's update things in November 2023. The entire hotel has been beautifully renovated and is worthy of a four star rating. The design and architecture are really super and they are currently building a new thermal water spa. All new furniture and great design everywhere. Good parking. HOWEVER . . . . whether Covid has hit them, or maybe they just can't get the right staff...

It's a big, busy (in August), probably late socialist-era resort hotel that's actually quite pleasant. And cheap. There's a holiday vibe. For an overnight stay it's excellent and I wouldn't have minded staying longer. I didn't try any of the many "health"/beauty treatments on offer but they're inexpensive. (The lifts/elevators are few and slow.)

The rooms are average, but OK on the whole. Food selection is quite limited, especially during the evenings, and there have been occasional quality issues (e.g. one evening the French fries seemed to be leftovers). They charge very hefty prices for all drinks. Infrasauna not working, the other saunas are OK. The pool is quite small.

The best goulash I ever had in my life and in general dinner and breakfast was amazing. Most of the guests were older people which I personally really like and the staff was very friendly, rooms are nice but as a recommendation renovation would not be bad idea.😉

Easy to access by public transport direct by Volan Bus from Budapest, or train from the Budapest Déli or south station in Buda, to Keszthely, then frequent buses to Hévíz (10 minutes). Totally fine for the price. Rooms have aged, but that's okay. Dinner and breakfast was good too. Reception opens at 8 and breakfast also starts at 8. Something you might want to consider, if you have to leave early, like we did.
