Hotel Ideale in Assisi

I can highly recommend you to stay in this lovely hotel.
I had a wonderful room at the end of the garden, amazing views, space and cleanliness.
Such a peaceful place with overlooking gardens and the beautiful town of Assisi.
I thought the breakfast was amazing.

Hotel Assisi is a gorgeous family owned and run hotel. The pride of ownership is evident. The staff are friendly family members. The views of the rooms facing the valley are highly recommended for sunsets and all day observing. The outdoor patios areas also offer spectacular scenic views of the valley and are accessible to all guests. The rooms are on the smaller side with tight box-style showers only. Breakfast is served with diverse food options but limited in variety. The location is just outside the old city to be away from the crowd noise and close enough for walking anywhere in the city. The price is reasonable and representative for the quality. Best of all are the hard working family members and their dedication to treating guests properly and professionally. They really value their guests.

Love this hotel but more like a bed and breakfast. Run by a gracious family, you feel like you at home. The continental breakfast is plentiful. Fresh fruit,fresh yogurt and plenty of bread cheese meat and the best cappuccino’s. Laura’s mother and father serve you and Laura makes the cappuccinos. Laura is always concerned that you are content. We stayed at the spacious apartments. The rest of our group stayed at the hotel. No complaints just great hospitality. Close to everything.

One of our favorite hotels ever, beautiful updated rooms, views of Assisi that can’t be beat, and an incredible family that runs the hotel. The breakfast rivals any fine restaurant, and in the midday when we wanted a bottle of wine and something to snack on, they provided us with a master class plating of meat, cheese, bread, fruit and pastries…. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. Oh and the location can’t be beat, minutes to the upper city.

I have been lucky enough to travel to Italy many times over the last ten years and my trips always include a few nights at the Hotel Ideale and it is always a highlight! The hotel offers the most beautiful views you’ll find in all of Assisi - visible from rooms as well as the shared garden. The location can’t be beat- easily accessible by car and within strolling distance of the center of town. The rooms are so charming, clean and thoughtfully updated and did I mention the views! The family who runs the hotel is welcoming, helpful and attentive and the breakfast they provide is unbelievably delicious and generous. I like to plan my stays at the Hotel Ideale in between visits to Rome and Florence because it is so peaceful. The perfect place to relax and reenergize.

Hotel Ideale is a lovely, family-run place perched at the edge of Assisi. Our family has stayed here many times over more than a decade, drawn back by the kindness, care and helpfulness of the hotel staff. Ideale’s location makes it a perfect base from which to explore Assisi. From the garden patio, one has a beautiful view of some of the hilltop town’s stone buildings and churches, as well as a sweeping view of the picturesque valley below. The hotel’s rooms are clean and well-appointed, with AC to stay cool
In peak summer months. On top of it all, the (family) staff of the Ideale offer a delicious breakfast, including homemade pastries that are irresistible. I highly recommend this hotel if you are considering visiting Assisi, or if the town is your base for exploring the area.

Wonderful B&B in Assisi. Beautiful views of the town and valley. Easy walking to excellent restaurants and sights. Plenty of off street parking in their private lot. Great breakfast every morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. Watch out for the bathrooms though, they are tiny but functional and beautifully appointed.

Six of us stayed there for three wonderful days; one of which was Oct 4 the Feast of St. Francis and Papa Francesco was there! Dino, our host, was most gracious even though he spoke no English and we spoke no Italian! The rooms were clean and neat, the breakfasts were terrific and the hospitality was excellent. If we are fortune enough to return to this jewel of a town, we will definitely stay there again!

Amazing place, the views are stunning and very close to Assisi. The staff are very welcoming and the bar has a very good selection of drinks , many local. Rooms are a good size, with modern bathrooms and quent bedroom, highly recommend

Four days in Assisi proved Hotel Ideale is the best place to stay or even just sit and enjoy a bottle of wine with the best location and view in Assisi. The breakfasts were wonderful, rooms clean and quiet with new bathrooms.. Some with private verandas for breakfast and their common verdandas best for wine at sunset.

This place is the best! I usually hesitate to offer such positive reviews but Hotel Ideale and lovely family owners deserve it.
