Nice location with nice overview over the lake, attentive staff and a generous breakfast buffet. Rooms are not updated. You can't control room temperature and very loudly because it's of the main road. I would not book it again.

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel Milano, its quite charming. However not the most luxurious, the AC was a bit noisy and the bed a bit too soft, but for the price I think it's quite good. They have a lovely terrace, they do offer a great selection of wines and the staff is very nice and friendly.

Great lake side hotel though a little dated. Room was adequate with a few issues such as no shower head bracket so get used to showering one handed! Large crack which has split wallpaper from ceiling to floor on one wall and discoloured wallpaper on opposite wall as though been wet. The location is very beautiful, with its own terrace overlooking the lake. The menu is a bit confusing. There are some dishes with lake fish, various proposals with Norwegian salmon, meat and some first courses. We tasted an appetizer with crunchy onion rings and herring, really good. The first pleasant but nothing special. Good lake fish. Average prices.

Not the best choice for people that look for new and modern furniture but food, drinks and service is one of the best place I have ever been. The sight of the valley is breathless!

We had a really nice stay and highly recommend this hotel! The receptionists are super friendly. The hotel rooms are very clean and tidy, with perfect view on the lake. We also really liked the breakfast on the terrace. The breakfast had a great variety, every day different cakes (freshly made) were served. We can also recommend their offer to go for a 3 course dinner at one of the islands.

Very nice accomodation. 2 km from Stresa, however you cannot reach it by foot. There is a bus going to Stresa each hour and coming back, so is easy to reach the town. Just accros the street there is a beach were you can relax and play(for kids). Breakfast is delicios. We enjoyed our time here and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Thank you for all!

It's a great hotel!! However, if you do not drive it is quite a walk into Stressa. So a taxi is needed it costs roughly 15€. You do get the most amazing views. Breakfast is very simple but you have a wide variety of continental options. No hot breakfast options.

Beautifully perched on a promontory with view over Lake Major. It's best to have your breakfast under the morning sun on the terrace overlooking the lake. The attitude of the hotel owners was almost unbelievably good! They we trying hard to advice you where to go, what to see, what tours to buy etc. And their advices were not for profit, they never asked you to mention their names or something - they simply wanted you to enjoy their area.

Hotel is ok for the price. The owner is very friendly. No air conditioning and what we did not enjoy was that each time we went out, the owners came in the room (more than once a day). Otherwise very central to the nice places of Stresa.

The journey from the airport to hotel was terrible, but the stay at the hotel was very good. At midnight, the hotel owner welcomed us and tells us the most important information. He invited us for a tasty breakfast and the service in the restaurant was nice. The room was very clean and you could relax. The hotel is located in a quiet location.

Stresa and Lake Maggiore are not to be missed. The Moderno makes a good base. I suggest you ask about the rooms before selecting, as the hotel encompasses several buildings and the rooms vary. The Hotel is a good value for the price, but it is ageing and somewhat dated. We like firm mattresses and our room had the firmest mattress ever!

I have just returned from a Blake's tour to lake Maggiore.we stayed at this hotel . I could not fault it .The staff were brilliant the meals were great,and the rooms were good(the only reason I gave 4stars was we had no view. It is situated on the lake near the ferry and tourist boats

This hotel is located in a great location, beautiful views of the lake and the staff is outstanding! The trains went on strike the day of our departure and the staff worked for hours to find us alternative transportation. I highly recommend this hotel. We had a great stay there!

We found this hotel while searching for somewhere to stay on Lake Maggiore. We were in Brig in Switzerland at the time and had been looking on the internet for a hotel near the lake in Stresa. Situated on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore, the Hotel Bel Sit’s lake view rooms and private terrace offer amazing views and a rare sense of stillness. Service is better than what i would expect from a 3-star hotel. The food in the restaurant is also very good and reasonably priced for the area. However, the AC in the room was a big let down, it barely cooled the room and shut off after a certain time in the evening, this led to very hot nights as i didn't want to open the window due to the mosquitos. Lovely hotel. Brilliant location for exploring Stresa, the islands and getting the cable car. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Excelent Hotel Very clean, fresh paintwork, service exceptional. Close to the mountain cable car - well worth avisit, Lido for jumping on and off the Ferries to all parts of Lake Maggiore. Would recomend the hotel and area to anyone- especially those interested in gardens.

Right next to the pier, you can easily take a cruise around the lake. The hotel provides free parking spaces, but you can ask the front desk if you can't find them. The room is large and it is very comfortable to sunbathe on the balcony.

Except that the location is not as good as another five-star hotel, (the location is about 1 km away, but at night, when the lights of the two small islands are dim, this point is exceeded), everything else exceeds expectations.

My wife and I arrived late from a long and hauling road trip. The beautiful room was equipped with all that one could dream of after a long day (i.e. bathtub, air conditioning of course, a shining view of the lago Maggiore and a comfortable bed). The breakfast was equipped with ample options for all types of taste (Ciabatta, Croissants, (sourdough) bread, scrambled eggs, delicious bacon, fruits, yogurt...

All I can say, is go here and experience everything the hotel has to offer. You won't be disappointed.

Funny hotel with 4 levels stuck to the rocks and directly to the lake. Michelin 1 star restaurant and a Pizzeria upstairs. The street to the village a catastrophy and the owner not so friendly. But his wife and staff excellent.
