My wife and I arrived late from a long and hauling road trip. The beautiful room was equipped with all that one could dream of after a long day (i.e. bathtub, air conditioning of course, a shining view of the lago Maggiore and a comfortable bed). The breakfast was equipped with ample options for all types of taste (Ciabatta, Croissants, (sourdough) bread, scrambled eggs, delicious bacon, fruits, yogurt...

All I can say, is go here and experience everything the hotel has to offer. You won't be disappointed.

Cocktails are ok, but a bit overpriced. You don’t even get any snack with the drink as it is usual around the lake. Hope to get better food experience next time.

Funny hotel with 4 levels stuck to the rocks and directly to the lake. Michelin 1 star restaurant and a Pizzeria upstairs. The street to the village a catastrophy and the owner not so friendly. But his wife and staff excellent.

This is a fantastic hotel attached to a superb restaurant. The rooms are, newly-refurbished, spacious and comfortable, they include a good sized balcony with a very impressive view over the lake. The staff are helpful and speak good English (my Italian is woeful) - they arranged a lot on our behalf, including a tour of the lake. Nice small hotel, good for people who travels by train - close to the train station. Also in the city centre, close to the harbour (and ferry), sourrounded by nice restaurants and cafeterias. Best service I've ever gotten at a hotel, lovely staff!

We arrived very late in heavy Rain and Thunder. Was met with umbrellas and cheese and salame and bread. Clean and classic Room. Not the largest but exactly what we needed. Walking distance to Ferry and Cable Car to the viewpoint.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Great staff, recently refurbished rooms. Nice pool and beach, and access to some great campsite pools and parks nearby (part of the same family). Made for a really pleasant stay with our three young children. Would highly recommend and will definitely return one day.

Great and cheap hotel. The pool is very good, but you have to wear swim caps. I was there already several times, and it was always nice to stay here. Great Hotel. Service was good and professional. Breakfast could’ve been a bit better in terms of quality, but there were enough options for everyone. The pool is very nice and the poolbar/restaurants has a great menu for good prices.

Nice location for a short vacation. Very well-kept facility. Magnificent view of Lake Maggiore. Calm. The apartments, however, quite noisy. However, there are no shops within walking distance.

The hotel is absolutely stunning. The room was nice, just like the bathroom. The staff was nice and friendly, you just have to follow their instructions with breakfast and everything will be fine. Breakfast was very delicious. Would definitely come back here!!

We had a really nice stay and highly recommend this hotel! The receptionists are super friendly. The hotel rooms are very clean and tidy, with perfect view on the lake. We also really liked the breakfast on the terrace. The breakfast had a great variety, every day different cakes (freshly made) were served. We can also recommend their offer to go for a 3 course dinner at one of the islands.

Very nice accomodation. 2 km from Stresa, however you cannot reach it by foot. There is a bus going to Stresa each hour and coming back, so is easy to reach the town. Just accros the street there is a beach were you can relax and play(for kids). Breakfast is delicios. We enjoyed our time here and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Thank you for all!

It's a great hotel!! However, if you do not drive it is quite a walk into Stressa. So a taxi is needed it costs roughly 15€. You do get the most amazing views. Breakfast is very simple but you have a wide variety of continental options. No hot breakfast options.

Beautifully perched on a promontory with view over Lake Major. It's best to have your breakfast under the morning sun on the terrace overlooking the lake. We had a great week in a clean new hotel, after general renovation in corona period. We enjoyed an amazing view to the lake from the window, a central , but quiet place, and wonderful breakfasts on the roof of the building. Thanks to the owners of hotel for a homely and fun feeling.

I was one of the first to stay in the Sempione after its remodeling, and it is wonderful. Everything brand new, elegant and comfortable. The view from the terrace is unbelievable, and the managers and staff are delightful -- with a real eye for detail. Would definitely go back... soon!

The attitude of the hotel owners was almost unbelievably good! They we trying hard to advice you where to go, what to see, what tours to buy etc. And their advices were not for profit, they never asked you to mention their names or something - they simply wanted you to enjoy their area.

Hotel is ok for the price. The owner is very friendly. No air conditioning and what we did not enjoy was that each time we went out, the owners came in the room (more than once a day). Otherwise very central to the nice places of Stresa.

I have just returned from a Blake's tour to lake Maggiore.we stayed at this hotel . I could not fault it .The staff were brilliant the meals were great,and the rooms were good(the only reason I gave 4stars was we had no view. It is situated on the lake near the ferry and tourist boats

This hotel is located in a great location, beautiful views of the lake and the staff is outstanding! The trains went on strike the day of our departure and the staff worked for hours to find us alternative transportation. I highly recommend this hotel. We had a great stay there!

I stay in this Hotel every time I go to Stresa. Every 2 - 3yrs. Been going for well over 20yrs. Superb Hotel, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Food is superb (5star) staff/service 5 star. Can’t fault it. I’ll certainly be back soon

Stresa and Lake Maggiore are not to be missed. The Moderno makes a good base. I suggest you ask about the rooms before selecting, as the hotel encompasses several buildings and the rooms vary. The Hotel is a good value for the price, but it is ageing and somewhat dated. We like firm mattresses and our room had the firmest mattress ever!

Amazing hotel in Stresa on shore of Lake Maggiore. Just cross the road and you are at the lakeside. The hotel is magnificent inside with stained and painted glass covers to the entrance,chandeliers in the lobby are amazing and smaller versions are in the bedrooms. The hotel is a 6 on a scale of 1 to 5. It is exceptional in many ways. There are few luxury hotels like it and with a great location.

I can't give full score since I had one of the small single rooms towards the back. My company was at the front with balcony and lake view and said they were in heaven. Everywhere is beautifully maintained and comfortable though. The reception is very welcoming and friendly. Wifi is good.

The journey from the airport to hotel was terrible, but the stay at the hotel was very good. At midnight, the hotel owner welcomed us and tells us the most important information. He invited us for a tasty breakfast and the service in the restaurant was nice. The room was very clean and you could relax. The hotel is located in a quiet location.

The receptionist upon our arrival was very welcoming, as was the waitress at lunch and breakfast. The staff were very friendly. Beautiful dining room. Hearty meal. The same goes for breakfast.
