My wife and I arrived late from a long and hauling road trip. The beautiful room was equipped with all that one could dream of after a long day (i.e. bathtub, air conditioning of course, a shining view of the lago Maggiore and a comfortable bed). The breakfast was equipped with ample options for all types of taste (Ciabatta, Croissants, (sourdough) bread, scrambled eggs, delicious bacon, fruits, yogurt...

All I can say, is go here and experience everything the hotel has to offer. You won't be disappointed.

Cocktails are ok, but a bit overpriced. You don’t even get any snack with the drink as it is usual around the lake. Hope to get better food experience next time.

Funny hotel with 4 levels stuck to the rocks and directly to the lake. Michelin 1 star restaurant and a Pizzeria upstairs. The street to the village a catastrophy and the owner not so friendly. But his wife and staff excellent.

This is a fantastic hotel attached to a superb restaurant. The rooms are, newly-refurbished, spacious and comfortable, they include a good sized balcony with a very impressive view over the lake. The staff are helpful and speak good English (my Italian is woeful) - they arranged a lot on our behalf, including a tour of the lake. We stayed 2 nights on business. Basic and very clean room, very fair price. Added value the owner, very hospitable and nice. We will be back.

Nice small hotel, good for people who travels by train - close to the train station. Also in the city centre, close to the harbour (and ferry), sourrounded by nice restaurants and cafeterias. That, and because it is in front of main street, make this place very loud and it can be not comfortable. Best service I've ever gotten at a hotel, lovely staff!

We arrived very late in heavy Rain and Thunder. Was met with umbrellas and cheese and salame and bread. Clean and classic Room. Not the largest but exactly what we needed. Walking distance to Ferry and Cable Car to the viewpoint.

Stunning views. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had issues with our hire car and received loads of assistance. Especially from Christina who even drove us to the car and arranged taxis. Great breakfast with perfectly cooked eggs to order.

Reviewing the restaurant as we did not stay here. Perfect Italian meal out on the terrace, pasta course in particular was memorable.

We come here fequently with family just for the restaurant. Great food that is frequently "slow food" meaning that they use fresh national ingredients. The menu is varied and has something available for everyone (1 family member is vegetarian). Great wine list and friendly staff. Always a great experience

It was an amazing location, the facility itself was super nice, an Apartment spread on 2 floors, so my kid loved it had an interior staircase. Very clean, all we needed was there, complementary water, soft drinks and Nespresso coffee tabs. The view is spectacular, looking over the lake.

Nice place to stay to visit Lago Maggiore. Laura was very kindly. Went 3 times at the restaurant under the appartement because it was good and affordable. And the lake view and the sunset was just amazing.

Very friendly landlady, good beds, bottles of water in the room, very quiet, extremely clean, delicious breakfast, parking behind the house. The bathroom is very large and is shared by the two rooms (1 double room, 1 twin room). As clean and big as the bathroom is, it does not seem to be a problem. Ideal for families with 4 people.

This is a house where a few of the rooms are rented. The owners are very friendly and live in the same house. There is wireless internet and it is very quiet. The lake is best by car or bike on foot it is too far. Excellent location, room with a magnificent view of the lake, sober, spacious, but with attention to detail. Excellent cleanliness, plus the mattress was very comfortable. Villa with beautiful garden at a more than fair price. Excellent position to reach the lakefront and the town center. The owner Cinzia a sweet, kind and super helpful girl. We were 9 girls and we had a great time with the whole place at our disposal. Too bad I only spent 2 days!

As a birthday present, looking on the site, I chose this magnificent place, at the time of the call I have no words to describe the kindness of those who manage it. It did not seem real until we arrived on the spot we realized that it was run by a fantastic person, a beautiful place does not lack relaxation and everything is at the right point. Nando was extremely welcoming and helpful..he answered all of our questions and gave us advice about where to go and eat. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was good. It is a very short walk to the lake and there is parking on site. I would recommend this place and I would come back here.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Great staff, recently refurbished rooms. Nice pool and beach, and access to some great campsite pools and parks nearby (part of the same family). Made for a really pleasant stay with our three young children. Would highly recommend and will definitely return one day.

Great and cheap hotel. The pool is very good, but you have to wear swim caps. I was there already several times, and it was always nice to stay here. It is a bit farther away from the city, but it makes for a nice evening walk. There are a few restaurants nearby too, so if you don't want to walk too far, that is also an option. Great Hotel. Service was good and professional. Breakfast could’ve been a bit better in terms of quality, but there were enough options for everyone. The pool is very nice and the poolbar/restaurants has a great menu for good prices.

It is a great option for a hotel near the lake. It is quite clean, but not perfectly clean inside. There should be made some improvements in there, but I appreciate that the bed sheets and towels were clean like new, in general the rooms are clean, but I think some details are left behind (I found little spider webs in the room, some rust in the shower, some pieces of furniture are a little deteriorated...

Hotel is very central, great location to explore old town and lake side. Staff very friendly. Our room was very spacious, has everything needed. Decor is somewhat outdated but rooms offer all that is needed. Comfy bed, desk, tiny tv but it’s there. All clean, kept to a good standard

Rooms were clean and big. Staff were all very friendly and nice. Breakfast was ok. Location is very good, close to many bars and restaurants. However AC did not work most of the time. Also it's not really an "AC". Moreover "lake view" is a view of the old boat station which limits the lake view. The wifi in our room didn't work.

Perfect location, I received a video with explicit instructions on how to access the hotel and the response from the staff was prompt. There was complimentary drinking water, which I find very important, as you never know at what time you will arrive; water is always needed! The room had also a lazy boy chair with massage!!!

Hotel in an old villa with 10 rooms run by a married couple. Our room was simply furnished, in the bathroom everything was available that you need. Good location about 200 meters from the promenade, in a few minutes you are in the center with narrow streets and many shops. Free parking in front of the house. Breakfast as a buffet with very good juice made from blood oranges and sparkling wine.

Here the location is everything, absolutely incredible. Beautiful views across the lake. However......no air conditioning in the rooms, no kettle to make tea or coffee, just average food, and a very expensive bar. The internet service is fast but there are very few receptacles in the room (just 2). The grounds are expansive, facing the lake and include a tennis court.

A regular over the last twenty years, I feel that Hotel Grand Majestic is currently better than ever. Excellent service, classy without being too formal, wonderful food, amazing rooms, superbly located right on the lake which is super rare, a very nice tennis court for daily games and a perfect home base for trips in the area. Nice old hotel. Grand feeling. The staff is great. The food was okay, nothing bad but nothing special. Clean and well maintained. Downside Wifi was really slow in our room, and the light at our balcony made it impossible to sit outside during the night because of the mosquitos.

We arrived at the Cloister Hotel on a very hot summer day. And no one at reception even looked at us or greeted us until we made a point of saying we needed to check in. When we eventually got our keys, we found our way to the room, which was down a musty smelling hall, through an old lounge area. The room was awful - it smelled like must and cleaning supplies, the airconditioner was leaking a terrible...

An extraordinary place in a comfortable and calm atmosphere to stay in Verbania inter. Enjoyed my week staying over there. Mangers and every personal so attentive to make every day a pleasant experience. I'll recommend this hotel to friends and ready to renew my experience sooner.

Super nice location inside an ancient palace. There is also a nice bar inside the Chiostro. Very simple but in a wonderful location and very clean. The best value for money in Verbania.

Paola is wonderful! Such a lovely person. Speaks great English. Recommended on sights and beaches. Let us put our lugagge before check in and keep it after. Brought us a fan when we requested as there was a weird heat wave in Italy. Our kids enjoyed the small pool at the yard. The view is amazing and it is literaly 4 minutes walk to the beach, as close as it gets. High value for money.

Charming house, very close to the lake, with an own little pool and a parking lot in a few meters. We felt very spoiled by the owner and her big breakfast for only 3-4 rooms so 6-8 guests.

I do not give 5 stars just because the bathroom was not in the room (as long as it is for private use) and to reach it you have to cross a common corridor

Very clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely! The air con worked really well considering it was a hot day and the room was quiet as well. Perfect location for exploring the Borromean Islands too.

My wife and I have been vacationing at the Novara hotel for four years. They make us feel at home, the room and cleanliness are impeccable, the staff is exceptional and the restaurant is top notch. Good lunch here...but the usual rip off for wayer from unsealed bottles and 5 euros for a few bits of bread. Sad it spoilt how I felt about my lunch.

Maniacal cleaning everywhere. Fantastic room with a terrace (large enough to accommodate two sun loungers and a table with two chairs) overlooking the lake! 3d TV with choice of free Blu-ray movies .... Restaurant for all very good but the dishes are the specialty. They are not come, my wife and I had dinner and breakfast in a "traditional" way. I will definitely be back. Nice pleasant room, nothing special. Very clean, nice staff. Bed wasn't exceptionally comfortable, and shower was quite small. The staff lended us a converted from Italian to Swiss sockets. The breakfast buffet had many options, both salty and sweet, and even had scrambled eggs.

We were sorry we only stayed one night, would have been nicer to stay longer. But our road trip was already planned... in my opinion the booking.com pics could be retaken, the room looked much much better The hotel has AC and they waited for us with a cool room, it was a relief due to the 35+ temp outside, the receptionists are professional, the lake view was inspiring, on Friday nights the street...

The hotel is across the road from the ferry terminal so it was easy to just hop on a boat to different places. The Borromean Islands take your breath away. The staff here are the best; nothing is too much trouble...

Great location, friendly staff (spoke both German and English) and spacious rooms. If you are lucky you can find a free parking spot right next to the water close to the hotel. But the also offer free parking services.

The Hotel Europalace is a bit of a gem on Lago Maggiore. It is like taking a step back in time with the dated interiors and furnishings. While dated the place is extremely clean and well maintained. Good ROI for 3 star hotel, but much better with view on the lake. Our room was enormous snd comfortable. Breakfast lakeside was perfect. Well worth the low cost. The hair dryers are pointless and have no power, but to be expected at this price point.

For the money the room was large and the breakfast had an amazing choice. Great location by the lake and some good restaurants near by. Not having a shower curtain on the shower was a challenge.

This was our second visit. The first was eight years ago. This hotel has a relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff. The rooms were huge and the view from the fourth floor of the lake was amazing. We would definitely stay again.
