Second time staying at Palazzo Doglio. We had good memories the first time so we returned. The service is still very good (esp front desk and concierge) we appreciate the help given by Gianluca and colleagues for dental, hair saloon recommendations and booking appointments. Restaurant stuff (especially Giorgia) is full of smiles and attentive. The lady masseur is good. Highly recommend.
Now the negatives - the hardware is starting to break down somewhat. The room phones don’t work, Aircon cannot be controlled or turned off …
The restaurant food is hit and miss. We had the fregola which was good but the Ombrina (fish) came rock hard. Told the manager and they “recooked” another fillet which was more tender but the inside was raw. I had diarrhea after.

Apart from being one of the best appointed hotels I've stayed at the staff are fantastic. They remember and pay attention to the little details that make a temporary stay feel like family.

Disappointing service and misleading room service information
I was very disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Booking sites list the property as offering 24-hour room service, and the in-room QR code menu clearly suggests that food can be ordered at any time. However, when I attempted to order food at around 11:30 pm on 2nd October, I was informed that only drinks were available. When I raised this with a manager, he was dismissive rather than helpful. Eventually, they agreed to send a club sandwich with fries, but when the food arrived it was cold.
For a property that positions itself as a high-end luxury hotel, the service levels and staff attitude fell well below expectations. At the very least, the hotel should ensure that its advertised services accurately reflect what guests can actually expect during their stay.

Excellent location and Service. Great place to stay while in Cagliari (small, and nice walk to old town). Rooms are clean, breakfast extremely good and very goods restaurants in the courtyard and close by. Lorenzo in the Reception was always helpful and friendly.

We had an amazing time at Palazzo Doglio and would definitely recommend it. The location is central, very close to Marina and the old town. The small square inside the hotel with many restaurants is gorgeous and so very Italian. Breakfast had vast choices and is of great quality albeit can be chaotic at busy times. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and are always super clean. The service is excellent truly a 5 star. Overall, a memorable and relaxing stay at a beautiful hotel.

Palazzo Doglio is hands down the best place to stay in Cagliari. From the moment you arrive, you’re treated like royalty — the service is impeccable, warm, and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. We really enjoyed our time at Palazzo Doglio. The location is fantastic – just a short stroll from the old town, with charming cafés, restaurants, and the waterfront all within easy reach. The hotel itself is elegant and stylish, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service.
If we had to wish for one thing, it would be a rooftop terrace or a pool to enjoy the Sardinian sun after a day of exploring – that would’ve made it perfect.
Overall, a great base for discovering Cagliari in style and comfort.

Visited 9/16/24. Beautiful hotel in convenient location near city center and restaurants and shops. The staff was AMAZING, friendly, welcoming and very accommodating! When we first arrived it was very late and we were hungry but most restaurants were closed. The front desk gentleman was soo nice that he offered to order us food from a food delivery app! That is above and beyond service and we were so grateful for his help! And then when we wanted to add one additional night to our stay, the woman at the front desk took the time to work with us and gave us the best rate in our same room. We were very appreciative and grateful. The room was beautiful. Wish we would’ve had a balcony but maybe next time!
