**Hotel Stay Review: Disappointing Experience at a Supposed 4-Star Hotel**
When booking our recent stay, we were initially impressed by the hotel's website, which showcased a 4-star rating and featured appealing photos of the rooms and amenities. Unfortunately, the reality of our experience fell far short of expectations.
Upon arrival, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, which gave us hope for a pleasant stay. However, that hope was quickly dashed the moment we entered our room. We were met with an overpowering cigar smell that made the room unbearable. This was a significant disappointment, especially since we expected a clean, odor-free environment. We immediately returned to the reception, where, thankfully, we were given a different room. This second room had a normal, clean smell, which was a relief.
Despite this improvement, it quickly became apparent that the entire hotel was in dire need of some serious TLC and refurbishment. The overall condition of the property was poor, with clear signs of neglect and a lack of maintenance. The pool area was particularly dismal, with a gloomy atmosphere and gazebos that looked like they hadn't been cleaned or maintained in years. Frankly, they seemed more suited for the junkyard than a 4-star hotel.
The room itself was operated by an old-fashioned key rather than a modern key card, which felt outdated. The bathroom was another major letdown—the shower was so small and cramped, and the shower head had to be held by hand because the wall mount was loose and barely functional.
Breakfast was, without a doubt, the worst part of our stay. It was by far the most horrible breakfast experience I've ever had at a hotel. The selection was extremely limited, with bland, shop-bought cakes, a single type of ham and cheese, cold boiled eggs, and runny, odd-looking scrambled eggs that had a strong, unpleasant smell. The juices were served in carafes and were unremarkable, but the instant coffee was the real low point. It was served from a water urn that seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, resulting in a terrible taste and smell.
On a positive note, I must acknowledge that our room was cleaned daily, and the towels were changed on the third day of our stay. The air conditioning in the room worked well, which was a small comfort given the overall condition of the hotel. However, I was surprised and disappointed to find that there was no iron available in the room. When I inquired at reception, I was told that I would have to give my dresses to the cleaners in the morning, and they would iron them for me at an additional cost. This was a ridiculous policy—when on holiday, you never know what you might want to wear in the evening, and making those decisions in advance is impractical.
Overall, this hotel experience was a major letdown. The property’s condition, lack of proper amenities, and the dreadful breakfast made it far from the 4-star experience that was advertised. I would not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made.

No way is this a 4 star hotel it’s the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, it should be called Hotel Catfish because it was nothing at all like the website showed. Rooms were from the 1970s, metal doors constantly banging, absolutely no sound proofing I could hear the man next door using the toilet and coughing. Breakfast was disgusting. Service was extremely poor. Local beach had more dog poo than sand on it. Absolutely no attractions/services nearby except a spar, a bar and a restaurant all of which were overpriced and to get to them you had to cross a dangerous road. We checked out the first morning of what was supposed to be a five day stay. Our first room was like a prison cell and the only view was the fire escape we asked to be moved and we were to an equally bad room but the view was now about 100 solar panels. Area was desolate would never visit here again. 🤦♀️

Rooms look better in pictures than in real life. It was clean but really old, the rooms are not sound proof and the wifi didn’t work. The staff was nice. For breakfast there was a big variety of food, unfortunately mostly sweet foods. Scrambled and boiled eggs were cold. Overall, don’t recommend staying there.

Car park is big. However hotel is three different blocks. They initially gave us friend two different blocks but they managed to clean room for us in same block. Thats fine but the ac is old, it doesnt work. Wifi doesnt work. Fridge doesnt work. Tv is old age, cant watch anything. It gets so hot at night. We were told to leave used towels on the floor so they can clean however they just picked it up and left it in the rack.. so unprofessional.. there is no kettle tea coffee in the room. Idk how it is four star seriously. Theres no cooked breakfast except scrambled egg and sausage. The staff gave us hot water when we asked, but you have to come down the lift walk to the bar, to get water to make tea in room. Come on.

We spent 5 nights and really enjoyed it. Clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, free air conditioning (you can use it during day and night times), frequent room cleaning. Spacious car park. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel, nearest supermarket just 4 min away. Just you need to travel to a nearest beach.
Good breakfast especially if you like sweet treats, plenty of different cakes, musli, croisants. Cheese, ham, eggs, juice and coffee/tea also at self-service.
For dinner restaurant had complex offers, which we tried and enjoyed, lovely food, portions and very attractively priced.
Thank you, lovely stay.

UPD I return the fifth star for a sensitive attitude towards customers. Our child left a toy in the hotel, and we ... passports! The hotel staff arranged for both to be promptly transported to our new stop in Olbia. Thanks to the help of the hotel, not only did we not miss the plane, but we were able to spend the last day of the holiday in a pleasant walk instead of returning to Cagliari for many hours to get the documents. Thank you very much! Very friendly ladies at the front desk. Ample parking. Of the three rooms booked, one had a broken shower and drain. They moved without problems. But I still take off the score: if there is a breakdown in the room, it is better to remove it from the database until it is fixed. In the hotel restaurant, dishes are only from frozen products (which they honestly warn about). But everything is delicious. And when everything is closed, the restaurant open in the evening is a huge plus. Great idea to arrange an impromptu library in the lobby! Books in different languages. A great opportunity to take a break from phones, sit with a book in your hands, like a real vacationer.

Tasty food with a wide choice, great swimming pool! But still, rooms are old and kind of dirty, room service was awful, and the wi-fi only worked (sometimes) in the main hall...

The Staff was awesome. The food was reasonable and delicious. It's location is perfect. Close to the City and close to the Beach.
I stayed for an extended period of time, loved every minute there.

Lovely hotel,expensive,not a 4star,but having great experience.
About 30min on walk from the beach, but the beach is nice. One is better off to rent a car, although at the airport the car insurances are a rip off.Cagliari is 30min by car from the hotel. We are a couple from London&are enjoying the hotel very much.Everything is nice.
I love the breakfast because there are fresh croissants(just learnt this is traditional italian breakfast)&fruit yoghurts,as well as when you order coffee-it is very good.If you like English breakfast-then forget it-it's not for you,but there are lots of cakes, croissants, sweets&yummy fruit yoghurts.Mind,we didn't know that restaurants on this island do not work b/n 2pm and 8pm which litterally means there is nowhere to eat decently-ridiculous-these pple are too lazy to even take your money :D
But we liked the hotel very much.?

This is no way a 4* hotel... I have stayed at better hostels. Very poor service, broken lift, majority of sun loungers at pool broken, breakfast very bad so I went to supermarket instead. The location is also bad- next to a very busy road, with no decent beach in walking distance. Asked at reception about 'partner hotel beach discount' as per website and this does not exist. Not a place for a relaxing stay and the place needed a dramatic update 10 years ago.
