Hotel Aurora

We were there almost by chance. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, the restaurant well organized and the food very good. Breakfast also good. Unfortunately in the restaurant the view of the sea was obstructed by the opaque windows, because they were dirty, and by a clearing area with objects of various kinds inside, pipes, chairs.... Unfortunately the potential of the view was obviously greatly penalised. The rooms can be reached by climbing several steep steps, even if there is a goods lift, but obviously you can have walking problems, even without necessarily having to require the help of the goods lift and even if you have children they can be dangerous. The rooms are poorly furnished, with old furniture, and have humidity in some places. The tiny bathroom didn't even have a shower tray or side glass, but a curtain. The view of the sea is wonderful, unfortunately however, with the silence of the night, you can hear the whistling of the wind, probably due to the windows not being well insulated and this is quite disturbing. I don't understand how a hotel with these characteristics can have 3 stars. I say this as the owner of an accommodation facility in Liguria and I am sorry to have read in so many responses given by the owner to the negative reviews, that the customer has personal problems or frustrations, this made me very upset, we just need to have the awareness and humility to accept criticism, always with a view to improvement.

Very friendly and kind staff apart from the blonde lady in charge of breakfast who should do a review of how to prepare cappuccinos and decaffeinated drinks🤣 The room, although in a beautiful location, needs a serious refresh in terms of furniture and the bathroom is too small with a shower glued to the toilet and bidet, not to mention the taps that very little water flowed.
The hotel is all too old and neglected. A shame given the area where it is located.
As for the beach located behind the hotel, prices are more expensive than the price list displayed updated to the year 2023 and far too expensive for what it offers... Going down the street they cost much less, are much newer and offer much much more.

Very dated and worn, the furnishings are no longer up to date.
A lot of noise.
For the prices (€138 instead of €150 via Booking) you would expect something nicer, to be honest. 🤦‍♀️🙄
We had no warm water in the room!
Access by car is not possible and parking spaces can only be found further away.
The breakfast buffet is very needy! One type of cheese and one type of ham, no eggs, no vegetables at all, just sweets. It could hardly be worse.
