We have just returned home and we already miss this beautiful village. Everything was perfect from the varied and plentiful food to the desserts of the fantastic scef. The large inviting and never chaotic swimming pool awaited you when the sea was a little angry. The courteous staff was ready to fulfill all our wishes and what about the animation guys: Mattia, Riccardo, Leo, Federica, Francesco, Valentina...

Nice place for vacations with Family. Nice animations, many place for relaxing, no figths for umbrella, good food.

Good location, 200m from the sea (private beach), big swimming pool with zona for relax, tennis courts. A bit far from rail station, but near the hotel end stop of bus nr 1 (100) that goes every 20-30 minutes to the Messina centre. Very polite staff

Rooms are very clean. Spacious balcony. Nice pool area, not too noisy. Good selection in the breakfast buffét. Barista. Good location if you have a car. In general the hotel needs some maintenance work (showers, paint, hall lights) to be in top shape, but it is still a cozy hotel with friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere.

Very welcoming and very kind and helpful managers. The rooms are always very clean and replenished with fresh laundry linen. The place, in addition to being very characteristic and even silent and allows to rest in absolute tranquility. Breakfast is always abundant and with the presence of very tasty fresh pasta. A big problem, on the other hand, is represented by the scarcity of places for the machines...

Hospitality and Amazing location

Very pleasant place. Direct access to sea from terrace. It is close to restaurants. Rooms are big, clean, view to seaside. Also bathroom and kitched is fully equiped.

We booked this at the last minute due to its proximity to the airport in Reggio Calabria. It was the nicest place in which stayed in all of Puglia and Calabria. Room was immaculate and the staff attentive and professional.

My wife and I were vacationing in the area and we discovered the Altafiumara by literally looking up from the beach. We went up there curious about the potential view over the straight of Messina. Absolutely wonderful stay! The resort is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Strait of Messina, beautiful gardens, and a real sense of peace. The staff were warm and attentive, the rooms spacious and elegant, and the pool and spa made it a perfect retreat. Breakfast offers a wide variety, while lunch and dinner are truly Michelin-star level.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Altafiumara. The staff were incredibly kind, from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff, everyone treated us well. The food was amazing as well, and the room was very comfortable and CLEAN! We had no issues whatsoever, we wish we could have stayed longer. The views were amazing, the pool was great and overall the experience was a 10/10. We even got massages...

The food was good, but for such a large resort, the small pool could be better. No one was allowed to lie on the loungers; they were cordoned off. And in the evenings, there was music playing, which was completely unpleasant.

For a non premium hotel this was a very comfortable place to stay, while attending an event. The staff are lovely: very helpful with booking sunbeds etc at the local lido. Breakfast is typical of southern Italy: lots of bread/cake/fruit/cold meat or cheese. The coffee is good too. Standards of cleanliness is good. B and B with very nice and complete rooms, located not far from the Papardo University Center and Papardo Hospital. Very kind owner and very available if you have any needs or problems. I would say an excellent B&B, very clean and with attention to detail, I slept in the Beatles room furnished with taste and style, nothing is missing, there are all the services and comforts, finally a large shower. Very well located near the boarding and the train station, it can fully satisfy both the tourist or those who for work (like me) need to rest. I slept great no disturbance or outside noise...

Truly spectacular B&B. A few steps from the sea and close to various services (bars, restaurants), it is not even far from the village of Chianalea. Very welcoming, bright and above all clean. Cute little place a stones throw away from the beach ! Feruccio’s mum came to meet us and was very helpful and kind making sure we were checked in and knew where everything was. The bed was very comfortable which is appreciated when travelling around Italy for 2 months ! Scilla is such a wonderful place we wish we could have stayed longer !

Easy to reach, but at the same time very close to the sea. Clean and complete room: air conditioning, TV, linens and bath products in abundance. Outside the room there is the kitchen where you can have breakfast and the fridge full of everything you need (and I stress FULL): water, fruit juices, milk, yogurt, etc ... The owner, Ferruccio, is from a truly unique kindness and availability. Being traveling...

We stayed elsewhere but stopped into their restaurant for very good plates of pasta. Bit of a wait. Only one other person dining.

Perfectly located if you are arriving by train. Very convenient for the beach, a bit far out from the old port part of town which is the more touristy area. The decor was quite old fashioned and fussy for our tastes, and looks a little tired, but you can't really fault the cleanliness, location or facilities.

The location was right next to the train station so super convenient. Next to many restaurants and the old town was great and the beach was maybe 50metres away!! The guy who ran the B & B was very pleasant and made the check in process so smooth.

We stayed in the studio apartment which gave us a great view of the city and the island of Sicily. It has a great little kitchen and a very large terrace to enjoy the sunset or watching the many boats crossing between the island and mainland. The best part is a shower big enough so no need to squeeze yourself into.

Excellent experience. I felt like at home here.
