Hotel Sans Souci

What a lovely friendly hotel in a quieter location along the Adriatic Coast. Gabicce Mare is less commercialised than its larger neighbours Cattolica and Rimini, but may not suit if you are looking for lots of nightlife. However if you are looking for a traditional Italian hotel with amazing food and impecable service then look no further. We stayed for 10 days and were sad to leave. We had a side sea view room on the top floor which gave an excellent panoramic view and benefited from air conditioning. The main pool is quite small so would be very busy in high season, although there is a smaller partly enclosed jacuzzi pool and of course, the indoor spa area at extra cost. The highlight for us was the amazing food and the service we received from all the staff. Be aware that if you choose to travel here in October, the weather can be unpredictable and the small resort does partly close down.

Very good hotels, excellent mixed drinks from world champion Ettore Diana. Clean environment, breakfast with sea view, Good servis, nice staff, Good Kitchen, Swiming pool with sea view. Gym, SPA, bike rental, Absolutely flawless we will definitely be back.

I had amazing time at the Sans Souci. It’s set on an elevated level overlooking the bay, the views are incredible. The hotel staff, every single one of them, was friendly and helpful. The restaurant. For breakfast there is a large variety of cakes and pastries and there are freshly cooked eggs, omelettes and pancakes. The evening meal is fantastic. The starter and puddings are buffet style but the first and second courses are a La carte and freshly cooked. Great choices of fish, meat & vegetarian.

Just returned for the third time to this great family run Hotel .Nothing is too much trouble for the Team. The Hotel is situated in a quiet area, on the edge of Gabicci Mare, adjong a National Park. The sea views ( and sunsets!) from the dining room, public terraces and sea facing balconies are stunning . All facilities are spotless. The food is imaginative , and service is faultless, and bar prices are competitive. Parking in street is very restricted, but there is a secure car park ( payable extra), and the Hotei provide a relaxing atmosphere, even when bust. No hesitation in recommending hotel for a great stay on the edge of Town, but close enough to walk into centre if you wish. If taking a week we would recommend hiring a car from the airport to make most of your holiday

We arrived 6th May for 10 days. A perfect time for very good weather that was not too hot at a resort which becomes very busy from the beginning of June. We upgraded prior to arrival to a Full Sea View and we were not disappointed, in room 902 on the fourth floor. Our flight from Stansted to Ancona was only two hours followed by a train journey along the coast which was delightful. Other options is to fly to Rimini which is closer and more convenient Also, Bologna which has a regular direct train connection to the resort. A short taxi ride will then to bring you to the hotel. The location overlooks the beach, a quieter part of the resort, providing a impressive view along the seafront towards Rimini and beyond. It is easy to walk along the promenade which is maintained to a high standard. The beach amenities include sun loungers, umbrellas, toilets, kiosks and restaurants during the summer. Similar facilities are available to the hotel guests just a short walk away. The hotel is family owned and managed, providing a very friendly welcome The owners lead by example and with a high attention to detail. Fresh flowers and greenery is in abundance shows a feminine touch. The hotel is in fact two buildings as a result of an acquisition and has two pools. The buildings are connected by a tasteful glass staircase and "bridge". The restaurant has a natural light panoramic view across the sea and gardens below. The content of three-course menu changes every day and I cannot recall any repetition during our 10 night stay. Fresh fish is delivered daily from the close by harbour, ensuring that there is a surprise every day. The restaurant and bar teams are very professional and very friendly, Enjoying working with a welcoming smile, their approach is a big part to having happy customers It is noticeable that the drinks and wines are of good quality and reasonably priced, with a bottle of Pecorino at 17euros and a fabulous Valpolicella Ripasso Classico at 23euros. The choice of Breakfast is plentiful with the bonus of eggs cooked to order by Anna who provided us with omelettes every morning. Overall the Food and the service is excellent. We also had a club sandwich and fries one day At 15euros, it was of excellent quality and its portion very generous. One would have been sufficient for the two of us. The Reception team were excellent and helpful, including the "Night team" who keep the bar open late in the night. The Housekeeping team again operates to a very high standard in cleanliness, (just look at the guest lift for instance). The bedroom is well maintained, clean and freshly painted in white. The high thread count bed linen is a sign of high quality and the bed linen and towels were changed every day. The complimentary toiletries were also very good. The bed was firm but very comfortable. Stayed here for a week at the beginning of October as the resort was closing down for the winter, which we did know in advance. The hotel is on the edge of the village right on the beach and an ideal location to walk to the centre and across the canal bridge to Cattolica. We went on a full board basis as part of a late deal and each night there were sufficient choices to pick from and served with a free glass of wine 🍷 which was brilliant. Breakfast was plentiful and Anna made omelettes and fried eggs on request. The room was a bit tired looking but was fine and a decent bathroom / shower. The staff in reception were brilliant and helped us plan days out by bus / train and even had free bikes for guests which we used on a 20km morning cycle round trip to Riccione. From the hotel we also travelled to Rimini, Cattolica, Gradara, San Marino & Gabicce Monte. The views from the hotel pool / sun terrace were incredible looking out over the beach. The hotel gave us a lift back to the train station on the last day as we needed to travel to Bologna for our flight home, which was a nice touch. Thanks everyone 👍

In September 2024 while on holiday in Gabbice Mare , Hotel San Soucis I had a medical emergency. I was in hospital for 7 days . When I returned to hotel San Soucis I was greeted with great kindness by Edy and Federica Bordoni. Along with their reception, dining room, housekeeping staff who all were extremely kind to me. I recuperated with their help and of course the lovely sea views from my suite and food was also good. Thank you to all who helped.

We were not advised by our tour agent that sea front rooms were a possibility. Our initial room was fine but a touch small. We paid a small premium to upgrade and it was a whole different experience - really gave you the holiday vibe! Breakfast was superb, dinner varied from okay to weird. Reception staff were exceptional with giving help with buses etc. They were particularly kind when we had to cut short our visit because my mother was very ill
