Wonderful staff ,ideal location our room was very clean and roomy. The only negative was the shower above the bath with no shower curtain. There is some noise from the main road nearby and also the church bells. Overall a fantastic stay.

Absolutely brilliant! By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. So underrated!! It has the most friendly and welcoming receptionist and night porter ever! The breakfasts in my opinion are 5 stars( so many options with the food) Although the rooms aren’t

the location of this hotel is great, however that is the one good thing about it. the rooms are absolutely horrible. horrendously outdated, looking as if they haven’t been touched since at least the 1960s, and the beds are hard as rocks. you will not have a good night’s sleep in this hotel, even if you’re exhausted, i promise. the lift is also unbelievably small, only able to fit one or two people in, especially when carry luggage, it feels very unsafe. The doors don’t lock properly, meaning someone could open them from the outside in the middle of the night. Do not stay here, unless you’d like to take a trip to the past!

The hotel is very dated I think the bathroom is from 1970ish also carpets in bedrooms ?
The girls on the desk during the day were very friendly and helpful
The man in the evening not so friendly
The breakfast buffet was very nice and overall the hotel was clean
The location of the hotel is excellent,however we would not return until a major refurb was to take place

We loved this Old hotel
First person we met was the receptionist, Paula
First impression is important and she proved to be the ideal person for the position. Ok our room did not have a view but in hindsight that was a good thing
It was clean and we had bed sheets and towels changed everyday. The hotel was built around 1907 and it did show its age. But I loved it. No swimming pool But a rooftop terrace overlooking the lake
Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but the location and the excellent staff made it for us

Well situated next to the lake and slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Garda Breakfast is good as others have reported. Our stay was made by the receptionist, never got her name (she’s married to an electrician). So welcoming and helpful, amusing and charming- a credit to the hotel Stayed there 1 week ago

Perfect location right on the Lake. Very friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

A great hotel on the lake away from all the hustle of the main strip. You can retire here for the evening, but also enjoy one of the best breakfast buffets I have seen.
The retro kitch fitout and vibe is something else. A short walk from the bus terminal if this is your mode of transport.

Great hotel in a great location. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Rooms were spotlessly clean, just lacked a proper shower.
