Hotel Riel

For us it was relly great and memorable stay. Sirmione and Garda Lake itself are great in any weather and any time (we have been in November). Hotel location was convinient just 15 minutes walk from Sirmione, you can go by bus easily to Sirmione, Desenzano and Pischiera but you have to know really well bus circulation. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful they gave us all the neccessary information about it and other things also.
Rooms and hotel itself were very clean and comfortable. Room is enogh big and warm split system help to heat it. Very nice view from balcony to autumn garden.
Breakfast was the best in our 14 days travel in Italy. Really big choice: solmon fish, different types of cheese, salami, prosciotto, vegetable and fruites, eggs, fried mashrooms and some kinds of sandwiches, croissant and even donuts. All personal was very kind, there is a restaurant for lunch and dinner with nice choice of italian food and quite nice prices. Also personal there was very kind and friendly.
In room you can find kettle so it was very useful for us because it is already cold time in November but we were lucky with the sun.
And the biggest plus for us was free bicycles for any age. We took them and drive around to church, beach and then winneries nearby.
Thanks to everyone for our great stay and holiday and also the smily housekeeping signora. She made all our mornings happy.

The hotel was ideal for what we wanted , exceptionally clean, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Personel is the highlight of our stay, very professional and welcoming. Also, breakfast is really good.

Amazing place with nice view for a lake. Stuff was very helpful. Breakfasts were tasty. The one thing which is missing on booking offer is that You can rent a bike for free! ❤️ highly reccomend, especially localization.

Nice parking space, good location and excellent service . Breakfast was not the best on the day we tried. The food looked sad and dry including the sausages and egg omelettes

The Hotel is small and nice. The Staff is very friendly. No Problem speaking English with us. Except for the Rooms. Well a lot of Dust 🙄 not really that good for the People with Asthma 🤷 also a lot of Ants in the Room 🙈 The Food was good. We only stay for one Night tho'.

Hotel Riel was just lovely! We stayed for about 4 days and it was perfect for us. We had a nice room on the ground floor (a few steps), the only down side was that the back was near the kitchen so if you don’t want the smell of food in the morning / evening then ask for rooms that aren’t 20-25.
The bed was very comfy and the air con was great. We had a balcony with shutters so we could black out the light. The bathroom was perfect and the shower was really powerful. There’s a tv, fridge and kettle, a hairdryer and spare towels, and spare bedding. The walls are a little bit thin so you can hear others sometimes. The rooms were cleaned everyday which is great!
There are bikes you can use which makes it so lovely as the main town of Sirmione is about an hour walk from the hotel, but only 15-20 mins by bike.
There’s a big car park and also a big restaurant (which we never actually ate at).
The pool is not heated so when we went in October it was quite cold, but that’s fine!
Plenty of sun loungers.
The breakfast buffet was good but they didn’t stock up the food that regularly so you might have to wait for a new tray of eggs or bacon.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, they can also order taxis for you in and out of Sirmione.
There are various supermarkets nearby within walking distance, and some lovely restaurants and bars within 15 mins walk if you don’t fancy going into the main town.
The lake is a 5 min walk which is lovely, though the beaches and swimming areas are a bit further afield.
It is actually a benefit being situated just outside the main town, as the traffic can get very busy, but Hotel Riel has no problems with that!
Overall the hotel was so lovely, and just perfect for us. If you have a car/ happy to cycle, then the town is right on the doorstep, but if you like being right in the thick of it then this one is probably not for you as it’s a little more isolated from the main area.
We’ll definitely be returning!

I gotta say, this hotel has a very kind reception. They are multilingual. The room was very comfortable. AC available in some of the rooms. The best thing, they rent bikes for free, for 5 hours! Cruising true Sirmione with the bikes was a very lovely experience. The rooms are quite and clean. We had a lovely terrace. The restaurant also welcomes dogs, which is incredible!
