High price versus quality

Fairly good experience. The view is beautiful, it's well located near old town. There is the occasional roach, but not too many. And the breakfast service is pretty good.

Beautyfully refurbished 120 year old villas at the beach

Rooms very pleasant and well serviced but in the reception and dining area bombarded with loud and ghastly music, not at all appropriate for an otherwise elegant hotel.

The accommodation was great. Clean, the staff was very, very friendly. The breakfast was delicious! The location is very quiet and only 5-10 minutes from the old town. We also really enjoyed having breakfast in the open air in front of the hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious. We slept very well. The valet parking was also great. I can only recommend the hotel. We'll probably see each other again...

Nice and great drinks

The staff were so nice and friendly, the hotel is really dog friendly, water and a feeding bowl were prepared for the room, the breakfast was excellent. We will go again!

This is a big hotel with different room areas, some rooms are small, but the hotel also has very spacious 2-bedroom rooms with large balkonies. The views, howevere, are not very spectacular. Everything looks a little outdated, but still is in a good working contition. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are kept clean. The staff is very, very friendly. The food is fantastic, very fresh and tasty...

Very good position, next to the beach and to all services. Clean rooms and common spaces. Beautiful view from the top terrace to all the landscape around plus solarium and swimming pool on the roof, so useful. Great breakfast with all kind of choices from salty to sweet food.

Grado, la Bella! .. It is no coincidence that the Grand Hotel Astoria is located at the center of this magical meeting between land and sea, it is a wonderful starting point for the transition from one era to another in our history, the elegance, cheerfulness and kindness of all the staff restore this little gem to its former glory. Score 10+

Excellent location right in the city centre and walking distance from the beach. The furniture are a bit old, but the rooms are comfortable. I would have liked a more user friendly access to the roof which is manly occupied by the restaurant, making difficult to reach the view if you’re not having dinner there. Parking is available at 9 euros/ nights which is a bit too much considering rooms rate....

Well I give three stars for the emergency sleeeep but for a hotel I 2 stars are maximum including the bad breakfast 😅👍

Spacious rooms, but the cooling system is not truly effective. Room was never below 25C and only semi ok cleaned. Great breakfast buffet however, and the morning staff were brilliant.

You feel immediately welcome in this small, family hotel. The breakfast was great and we did not miss anything. Especially sweet and friendly was the small, sweet Zimmerfrau! Small, very nice and quiet hotel, in the middle of the pine forest. Old style but pleasant environment. Offers use of bicycles and parasol with sun loungers. Convenient price.

Small hotel 15 min walking distance from the center. Quiet location except the market on Saturdays morning. Next to the beach. Close to a DeSpar shop. Comfortable rooms with seaview, kitchenette, big fridge and quiet but efficient air-conditioning. No children and no pets allowed!

Convenient location by the sea and in the center, spacious rooms with a nice balcony, excellent breakfast to say the least, friendly and helpful staff, private parking. Excellent value for money. It would be convenient to also have the bike included in the price but this detail aside we will definitely be back.

Nice hotel, comfortable and clean. The competitive price and a very abundant breakfast included mean that the stay in Grado has an extra gear. The only problem is the parking that almost certainly to be safe you have to pay it.

Breakfast was good and sufficient. Room with balcony getting old. Mini TV. Bath with shower, shower head urgently needs to be replaced and only one toothbrush cup, not up to date. There is no bicycle garage for cyclists, rental bicycles are junk.

Very good value for money. Nice and very helpful staff. Good breakfasts with nice cakes. Possibility to book a parking lot at a price of EUR 10 per day. The rating is lowered by the lack of a refrigerator in the room. I recommend.

We booked this hotel. Breakfast was very good and varied. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Most of the employees speak a little German, which was helpful. Room was clean, not particularly large, but reasonable in terms of price / performance ratio. The location of the house is not central. The way to the beach and the city center is always a short walk. We were satisfied, even if it is not...

Stayed 4 nights. Good location in front of the beach and a few hundred meters from the center. Staff very kind. Clean facility everywhere. Good buffet breakfast. The suggestion (with discount) of the dinner at the Cavanon restaurant is excellent: varied and quality cuisine. Congratulations!

My only regret about staying here was...I didn't have the dinner here and my stay was too short! Everything was absolutely perfect. We were in the economy room. It was clean and small, with a terrace view to the marina. The bathroom was clean. The room has A/C and TV. For the price I think it was fine.

Update: Five stars, because we loved so much and became friends. The lady at the breakfast room has been like a military sergeant. The lady is married with a police man. It looked like she learned a lot. But when I repeated my little complaint at the front desk, we all have been loving... We visited this place upon a bicycle tour to Grado June 16th 2017. Very good and modern hotel. Moderate price...

The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good. Initial thoughts were that it was dated but everything worked perfectly, so why update? We even got a farewell gift of homemade biscuits when we left. Free parking included.

The kindness of the owner combined with the location of the structure make it a welcoming and functional place. I recommend it, especially to those who do not like noise and want a quiet place to stay. 5 minutes from the sea and 10 from the old and historic town of grade.

Contrary to read some reviews, the environment is comfortable with large rooms and very clean. The hotel is a short walk from the first beach club; the breakfast is delicious and generous, with homemade cakes and I can assure you, many good !! The lady is Martina, they are welcoming and always ready to satisfy any request. Truly my compliments, people who can do the job, always carried out with professionalism...
