Very good position, next to the beach and to all services. Clean rooms and common spaces. Beautiful view from the top terrace to all the landscape around plus solarium and swimming pool on the roof, so useful. Great breakfast with all kind of choices from salty to sweet food.

Grado, la Bella! .. It is no coincidence that the Grand Hotel Astoria is located at the center of this magical meeting between land and sea, it is a wonderful starting point for the transition from one era to another in our history, the elegance, cheerfulness and kindness of all the staff restore this little gem to its former glory. Excellent location right in the city centre and walking distance from the beach. The furniture are a bit old, but the rooms are comfortable. I would have liked a more user friendly access to the roof which is manly occupied by the restaurant, making difficult to reach the view if you’re not having dinner there. Parking is available at 9 euros/ nights which is a bit too much considering rooms rate....

Rooms very pleasant and well serviced but in the reception and dining area bombarded with loud and ghastly music, not at all appropriate for an otherwise elegant hotel.

The accommodation was great. Clean, the staff was very, very friendly. The breakfast was delicious! The location is very quiet and only 5-10 minutes from the old town. We also really enjoyed having breakfast in the open air in front of the hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious. We slept very well. The valet parking was also great. I can only recommend the hotel. Beautiful, family-run, small hotel in a great location, less than 2 minutes from the beach and right on the edge of the pedestrian zone. Shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Lovely atmosphere, close to the beach and clean.😀 The rooms are a good size with a modern, clean bathroom. Little fridge in the room. Free bikes for going around the town. Loved the pool! Close to the beach, rooms are large vs most Italian hotels, bathroom has shower in bath, excellent continental breakfast, friendly staff, mostly speaking Italian and German. Many restaurants in the vicinity as well as fast food restaurants. Salt water covered pool and a small sun deck on the roof. Decor is dated but the room was reasonably priced. Recommended

Possibility of using bicycles even with a child seat (everything is on the plain) to go to the center in a few minutes. We booked last minute and had an amazing stay in this hotel. The room was simple, but very clean with excellent daily room service, the breakfast offered many delicious options (also for vegetarians) and the staff was very friendly. We were in the economy room. It was clean and small, with a terrace view to the marina. The bathroom was clean. The room has A/C and TV. For the price I think it was fine.

Update: Five stars, because we loved so much and became friends. The lady at the breakfast room has been like a military sergeant. The lady is married with a police man. Contrary to read some reviews, the environment is comfortable with large rooms and very clean. The hotel is a short walk from the first beach club; the breakfast is delicious and generous, with homemade cakes and I can assure you, many good !! Hotel with great location. Rooms are small, dated and damp. Cleaning service is good- every day but you have to pay extra if you want to change the towels. Good breakfast and the rooms have AC. Big minus is that the WIFI is only at the reception (not in the rooms)!

Basic, clean no-frills hotel with well working air con and almost right at the entrance to the beach. One star off as the friendly owner has what seems like a million rules here: How to park the car, where to sit for breakfast, how and where to leave the keys, etc... 3x printed-out pages explain it all... Great place to go and relax. With plenty to do even if you don't have kids. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The highlight of the resort for us was the dog trainer Costantin, who helped us teach our dog agility, obedience, trekking and nose work. Can't recommend his services highly enough!!!

We spent a pleasant week with kids a friends in the mobile homes in July. The highligt for us was extremely nice and helpful staff, especiallly in the restaurant. Also the full-board we had was excelent, Italian meals, prepared obviously from good ingredietns and rearly anything repeated. Not sure why some people ate frenchfries and sausages, with so much great fresh food;-) The homes were new and...
