Hotel Conte

Sadly did not have a good night's sleep during this two day stay.
Staff was not overly polite, motivated or helpful.
In our room we had a small bathroom, large balcony although nothing done to make it remotely comfortable (open wiring on the outside wall, one plastic chair) and the washing machine used for the sheets couldn't get rid of all spots, all in all it did not look like the room was given the most thorough cleaning. The remote for the AC was missing.
Breakfast was advertised as Continental (on hrs.com), definitely not the case. Small selection of fruits, yogurt and sweet pastry. The buffet as well as the whole hotel lacked love and an interest to make guests feel comfortable.
On the positive side there were original and pretty artworks from a local artists in the breakfast room.
I would consider giving three stars if the price would have been half of what we paid for one night (through hrs.com).

Terrible service and food. Do not pay for half board at this place! The food is precooked and very bad quality. They don’t even bother to warm it up for the guests. In the morning you get packaged crispy bread and horrible juice. For dinner they give you rubbery pasta with suspicious sauces. I never saw anything fresh being served, never any salad, fresh vegetables or fruit. The whole experience is what I imagine it to be like in a prisoner’s camp! Unfortunately some hotels think they can offer this kind of awful food to their guests.
