Doria Park Hotel in Lerici

On our first trip to Lerici in 2022, we opted to stay at the Europa Grand Hotel, but since they changed the layout of their rooms, it no longer accommodated our family of 4. Therefore, we opted to stay at the Doria Park Hotel, the sister property, in a Deluxe Family Suite.

The Suite had plenty of space, with a sofabed on one side of the half-wall and a large King bed on the opposite side. Very comfortable beds and linens provided a very good night's sleep. The view from the balcony was as lovely as we remembered from our stay at the Europa 3 years prior. The automatic blind system for the patio and the window made sure the room was nice and dark to ensure a restful sleep. The bathroom was very large with an excellent walk-in shower and ample counter space to fit everything.

The air conditioning also worked very well and kept the room at a comfortable temperature throughout our 3-night stay.

Parking was easy to find near the property, despite the extremely narrow curvy road leading to the entrance. The staff was helpful and brought our luggage to our room, which was a blessing because there are quite a few stairs leading into the lobby. Front desk staff was kind but didn't really go out of their way to provide a warm welcome.

Breakfast was included in the rate, but you must plan your schedule accordingly because the dining room filled up quickly and it was not really comfortable being elbow-to-elbow trying to negotiate the room and grab food. It had a "North American" buffet vibe, which we didn't really enjoy. Also, the fact that specialty coffees were at an extra charge was also not ideal, as all the other hotels we stayed at during our trip provided them complementary.

The short pathway into Lerici town centre made it very easy to get in and out, especially on the day where a strong storm blew in and made getting into town a little more difficult. Lerici is a fun little town with one main square and several lovely restaurants and gelaterias to choose from.

Overall, our 2nd visit to Lerici was a lot of fun and we had very comfortable accommodations to come back to at the end of each day.

What a stunning location. Our room was incredible with a fantastic view overlooking the bay! Fabulous sunsets and sunrises. A view to die for. A lovely hotel with great service. The breakfasts were adequate - all the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

Fabulous. We were here 12 years ago also and same excellent service, fabulous rooms with breathtaking view and delicious breakfast. A must if you come near Lerici.

Wonderful hotel with amazing views! The rooms were clean, well appointed, and the balcony view was spectacular. The staff were very pleasant and the food was top notch. I highly recommend this hotel!

My wife and I stayed over New Year's, and arrived in a very bad physical condition (influenza). I can honestly say that I have not experienced such a professional hotel management team outside of Japan, or EUR1,500/Night Swiss hotels. The room/sheets/towels/bathroom/etc., perfect, housekeeping, perfect, parking, perfect. I have three stories of management excellence from the Front Desk/General Manager level. I never expected to find such quality experience in Lerici. Sadly, it was New Year's and we were sick, so restaurant for lunch/dinner was closed. I imagine it's perfection. Sure, everybody is "friendly", but they were all "professional", and we needed professional. There is no reason to go to Portofino, Porto Venere, or anyplace else: Doria Park at Lerici is perfect.

We stayed here on our honeymoon. The staff was very helpful and kind. Room was very nice and clean, view from our balcony was amazing!

The hotel enjoys a quiet, panoramic location, conveniently located just a short walk from the historic center. Parking is excellent. Renovated rooms, though not recently renovated, are tidy, clean, and meticulously maintained. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide selection of sweet and savory items, homemade cakes, pizzas, and focaccias. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and helpful. A highly recommended choice for both business and pleasure.

Spacious, bright, clean, and elegantly furnished rooms. Truly friendly and professional service. Spectacular views from the terrace. Sweet and savory breakfasts are varied and high-quality. No dispensers, just hot drinks from the bar. It's a 3-star hotel, but it's every bit as good as a 4-star. What can I say...I highly recommend it. The only downside, if you will, is the steep climb from the center. But we're in Lerici, so there's plenty of room. And anyway, it's a 5-minute climb.

Great hotel! 3 stars but in our opinion worth 4 and much better than other 3 star hotels in de Lerici region. We had a "special room" with balcony and sea view wich is great! Diverse and nice breakfast buffet with outside seating and view across the bay. We will come again very soon!!
