The staff was friendly and accommodating! They arranged my transfers from the port to the hotel and then to the airport! The room was comfortable was unable to get the ac to work. It was clean and updated! The night air felt good with the windows open. Nice location near many great restaurants! Nice area to walk around!

I almost hate to write this review because that means more people may come… This little hotel is a gem. I stay every year a couple of times. Staff is great, location perfect ,restaurants around the area Plentiful. Great seafood restaurant next-door to the hotel. If I had to make one complaint, it would be in some of the rooms The air conditioning does not work so well . They need to upgrade. other than that it’s a wonderful Experience!

Beautiful little hotel right in the middle of the action. Room was small but met our needs. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were outstanding. Will stay here again on our next Italy trip.

We loved our stay! The updated rooms are beautiful.. large, modern and comfortable. Great beds and bathrooms. Amazing view of the ocean ! We only stayed for a short time and got in quite late but staff were very friendly and still welcomed us later in the evening. Wish we could have stayed longer here !

The Hotel La Scaletta Rome is just across the road from the beach and the pier. You couldn't ask for a better location. Though basic, our room was large and clean. The bed was hard, yet it was more than adequate.
The reception was welcoming and the information directing us to a nearby large grouping of restaurants, which made it easy to find our evening meal.
The breakfast buffet was more than adequate with coffee, fruit, cereal, toast, eggs, yogourt and many toppings.
The hotel also organized our shuttle ride to the airport for a fairly reasonable price. I would definitely stay there on my next trip to Rome.

Right on the beachfront road with plenty of restaurants around and an acceptable breakfast provided. Also free parking. But many of the appliances in the room are of cheap build and a bit broken. We especially missed a well-functioning air-conditioner as we were there during a hot period. Survivable but not enjoyable.

Hotel la Scaletta was a great stay especially if you needed to head to the airport for an early departure and didn’t want to head into Rome.. reception staff were always friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was super generous and the Train into Rome was super easy and Metro was an easy 10min walk away. Some great restaurants nearby and to sit on the balcony and look at the ocean was lovely.. we had a 3.30am taxi pickup that reception had organised for us and on our departure had prepared a little breakfast box with water that was very kind of them .

Great hotel with great staff. My wife & I stayed a night as we had a flight out of FCO in the morning. This place is very close to the airport, right on the ocean with many nearby restaurants. The staff was very helpful. We probably would have missed our AM flight if it were not for the advice of the guy at the front desk (Thanks David!).

We came to Ostia to visit family and we were so happy with our choice to stay at Hotel La Scaletta. The Hotel is clean and it was perfect for our stay. Comfortable rooms and beautiful views of the sea! The breakfast was very convenient as well. We also used the hotel shuttle from the airport. It was a short train ride to visit Rome for the day. We enjoyed our stay hope to return again. We recommend this accommodation.

Excellent location right in the heart of town convenient to everything. Staff was very pleasant. Room was stylish and balcony setting was lovely to people watch, watch the waves and enjoy the sun. The hotel was over Mikey d’s but never posed a problem with sounds, odors or anything else. The only wish might be for the room to be a bit larger, but for the price it is still an excellent value for the area.
