Good position versus ski slope. You can go to and back from one of the ski slope by foot. For the city center you need to take bus or after a certain hour the taxi. We have stayed at Hotel Lac Salin multiple times, including our last visit in 2023, and each experience has been perfect. However, during our recent stay this year, we noticed a decline in the quality of the food and disorganization in the restaurant service. As a result, we will be seeking an alternative for our next visit to Livigno. That said, the location remains ideal.

We had pasta for every primi piatti at dinner during our stay. Buffet for starter and desert makes a four course dinner together with secondi piatti. We enjoyed all of them. Hotel is listed as a 4-star hotel because there is a swimming pool. All the rest is 3-star level. Breakfast, diner, rooms, … Hygiene in the restaurant is 1 star. dirty textiles from dinner are not replaced and reused for breakfast. Disgusting Ski locker room is a complete mess and dates of the middle ages. Thee sevice and hospitality of the bar tender is excellent.

Great location for skiing, the pists is just behind the hotel. Great skiing area. A lot of space in the room, we had room 72, which was across the road from the main hotel. Our room included 2 bed rooms, kitchen, a small room for our skiing equipment, and a bathroom. The room was a bit old. Good cleaning service every day. A very good hotel. Good room. Elevator. Excellent food. Kind people. Good ski storage room, individual lockers with warm air vents. The water in the jacuzzi is a bit cold. The room temperature is good, maybe too hot, but the bathroom heater doesn't work. The problem is drying clothes after the pool. I recommend this hotel.

We stayed for a skiing holiday - sadly snow was poor but having the hotel facilities helped to ease it! We had the dinner bed and breakfast package. Loved our stay here; great service and facilities. Restaurant is one of the best in town (we know because we tried almost all others during our previous stays in Livigno). Exceptional cleanliness. Underground parking. Swimming pool and saunas. You might find room design a bit dated, but the one we stayed in was spacious and functional. Will come back here 100%.

We just stayed at Mota for 4 nights. The hotel was very quiet during the offseason but the service was still excellent. The staff was extremely nice and we were being treated like family. The dinner menu was amazing and the breakfast buffet was very rich. I can recommend this hotel to anyone. We will definitely come back during snow season since the place is right next to the slopes.

Just 50 meters from the lift : ski in ski out convenience. Delicious lombardian kitchen. Very well equipped wellness area. Rooms facing main street can be noisy as Disko Club across the street gets closed only 2 AM.

From a 4 stars holtel I was expecting a better service and better facilities. In our room it was pretty cold, no bathrobe for the spa and no bottle of water as it was mentioned in the booking. The staff is helpful, they provided us what was missing. The great thing is its position right in the center. It is located near various restaurants and shops and it has a nice view on the ski slopes.

Family run hotel very close to the ski slopes. Small rooms but very clean when we arrived. The staff is super friendly and know how to take care of the guests. Went to the Gourmet part of the restaurant. Rather high priced but exceptional quality and sizeable portions. Service is impeccable. Although it does not carry many typical dishes of the area.

Great staff, Lovely rooms and very comfortable mattress. Though the towel rail wouldn't turn off, so kept the room too hot. A little disappointed that there was not kettle in my room with teas and coffee. Not sure if this is juat a British thing, but all hotels i stay in, no matter how cheap, always has a kettle and teas. This hotel is the heart of Livigno. The bar is always full and active. Food is OK and basic. The hotel rooms are nice and traditional alpine design. The hotel Spa is awsome.

We keep coming back to this hotel, and will continue to do so. Service keeps reaching new levels, staff is great, and we feel like home there. Location is perfect, and restaurant La Posa offers great menu and wine selection. All in all, atmosphere is great.

A wonderful hotel in typical Alpine style, nicely sized rooms, great service and attentiveness from the staff, and phenomenal breakfast with some of the typical products from Valtellina. Nice time at the nice hotel We stayed two night at hotel St Michael in June and loved it! Room was clean and quiet, staff very helpful and friendly and food in the restaurant very good. Would recommend it even for longer stay.

Visited this hotel in February 2020 as a base for my annual snowboard holiday. The breakfast and dinner options were always yummy and the staff were very friendly and always fun to talk with. Beautiful sums up this hotel perfectly. All brand new, warm, romantic, welcoming ... what to say perfect. We found only one comfort room free then basic and it is really beautiful, all made of wood, fantastic bathroom with magnificent shower. Small but cozy spa and great choice of herbal teas and scent of cakes for the stairs in the afternoon. I said everything.

From the moment we arrived, until we left, we felt very well treated! Even with no Italian language skills we could communicate in German. The room was very nice and quiet. The hotel has the perfect location for skiing/snowboarding because of the chairlift which comes across 150 meters away.
