Reviews
These people are haters which is so disappointing because everyone else in the town is so nice
The reception team, however, did not initially set the most welcoming tone. First impressions matter, and there was a noticeable lack of warmth—no simple “Buongiorno” or friendly acknowledgment when passing by. The staff seemed very focused on their screens, rarely looking up to interact with guests. While administrative work is important, a balance between computer tasks and guest engagement is essential in hospitality. That said, after a few days, the front desk staff was a little friendlier, which was a welcome improvement.
The restaurant and breakfast service were a step up, with more attentive and courteous staff. Giovanni, who managed the kids’ area, stood out as someone genuinely friendly and engaged. Another standout was an older lady from the breakfast crew, who was exceptionally kind, warm, and attentive. She made a real effort to ensure guests felt comfortable and taken care of, adding a personal touch to the morning experience. Breakfast itself was decent, earning an 8/10 for its fresh juices and made-to-order omelets, but nothing extraordinary.
The pool area is a great space for kids, providing them with a fun place to splash around and play. However, the water temperature could be a little warmer, especially in winter. Given the cold temperatures outside, it would make sense to have a warmer pool so that guests don’t feel chilled while swimming. Another surprising downside is the lack of a hot tub. It’s baffling that a hotel located in a winter destination wouldn’t offer a proper hot tub or warm soaking area. After a long day of skiing or being out in the snow, most guests want a place to relax in hot water, not just dip into a chilly pool. This is a major oversight, especially for a hotel that claims to be four-star.
An initial disappointment was the pool staff’s attitude. When my family and I, including our two little ones, took a tea from the spa area before heading to the pool, we were immediately told not to leave the cups there, rather than being greeted with a simple hello. While maintaining cleanliness is understandable, assuming that guests will be careless isn’t the most professional approach. However, a few days later, the same staff member seemed a bit more approachable, which was appreciated.
Another major issue is the hotel’s Wi-Fi, which is simply terrible. It constantly disconnects, is painfully slow, and is unreliable to the point that I gave up and just used my regular phone service instead. If you’re planning to visit, make sure you have a strong mobile data provider because the hotel’s internet is frustratingly bad. In today’s world, where connectivity is essential for both leisure and business travelers, having such poor Wi-Fi is unacceptable—especially at a hotel charging over $200 per night.
Where Touring Hotel falls short is in its amenities and overall value for money. The rooms, while clean, are outdated. A prime example of this was when we requested an extra blanket and were given one that appeared to be 20 years old, covered in lint—a surprising oversight for a hotel at this price point. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, thanks to a quality mattress, but the dated room decor and lackluster amenities do not align with a true four-star rating. In my opinion, this is more of a three-star hotel in terms of its overall offering.
While the stay was satisfactory, it did not leave a lasting impression.
The room was great with an amazing view, and all the amenities (like the sauna, swimming pool & gameroom) are top notch. Thus, enhancing your experience off the slopes to the maximum.
Both the restaurant and bar were delightful, loved the breakfast & also tried the amazing dinner one night. Little details like prosecco & fresh orange juice at breakfast just made me enjoy my stay even more! The only downside was that the breakfast only started at 7:30 while slopes open at 8. I think it would be better to open the breakfast at 7 to accommodate early skiërs.
Overall, I really thought this was an amazing hotel. It's not a question if I come back, it's when!
Although we r a group of 26, it was obvious that they could not manage this amount (in a restaurant that seats at least 100) and some of us got food, some of us didn't, it was a mess. One order of fanta orange was actually watered down and to add insult to injury we asked for tap water and were charged for it (aparently the tap is considered by the hotel "a special machine"). All in all a pretty bad experience and we r only on day 3 of 6.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND SKIP THIS PLACE!!!
I'm sure there is a better place in livigno for you too go.
Edit: the elevator stoped working we are stuck using the stairs...
