The most deserved five-star hotel for me this month. Five are deserved for the place, which deserves seven. Wonderful place and full of peace near the center of Massa Marittima. Calm, tranquility, simple rooms as expected from a convent. Basic breakfast but maximum availability for special requests. Kindness of the maximum staff. I recommend it for those who do not like luxury hotels and look for places without pomp at a good price. Even for long stays.

Spartan accommodation, with ample private parking. Located 2 minutes from the center of Massa Marittima. It has no TV in the room nor air conditioning. The windows do not have mosquito nets and the shutters are fixed to the glazing, or close any window or the light filters if left open. Good breakfast.

We loved where the hotel was located, the sunset view was stunning. And it was a walking distance from Massa Marittima where they had so many amazing restaurants. Also the staff was very professional and incredibly nice.

A very well located hotel with superb views of the sea and countryside from our large balcony. The staff were great- always friendly and helpful. There was no charge for the pool which was a great place to relax after seeing the town ( 10 minutes walk). We loved Massa Maritima !

Great location, tiny rooms with tiny beds, bad service from main reception guy who seems to dislike English people but good service from the bar staff in the evening.

Not impressed with the accommodation provided possibly due to over enthusiastic Covid 19 precautions . I look forward to a further visit on which I'll post again.

Hotel is old and in bad need for a renovation. Air conditions marginally working. The swimming pool is of decent size and clean. Breakfast is very limited in choice and low in quality. Coffee is the only decent choice. The restaurant is of good quality and very reasonably priced.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Armando at the reception was very kind and always very helpful. The other staff we encountered were also always very considerate. The room was really clean as well as comfortable. The view from our room was fabulous. There is free parking at the hotel and the walk into town takes about five minutes.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very kindly and helpful. Breakfast were delicious. We are satisfied. In generally the place was perfect and close near the center of the beautiful town.

They are basically apartments. The only drawback are the mattresses that are a little too used. Good location, silence at night.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town. Super large rooms and they even have kitchen inside. Nice clean pool and large garden. Very good breakfast with real coffee. You can park near the hotel for free. Staff very friendly. The only negative that this is in the higher town so you have to walk down to the old town and climb up later.

Very customer oriented and self-demanding. Customer satisfaction is at their heart. I was actually offered a bike tour because it was not the one we agreed to ex-ante.

Great holiday with the whole family incl. 2 dogs. Very uncomplicated. Great MTB trails. Super friendly staff and great food (you will not go hungry....;) Beaches are not far away either. We will definitely go back soon!

A great place for family, meals are over the top spectacular! You will not go hungry. The trials are fantastic there is something for everyone. The mechanics in the shop know there stuff, if you don't want a hassle rent a bike. I can't wait to go back!

Strategic position to reach the center of Massa Marittima on foot, with a breakfast room overlooking the hills, fantastic! Simple rooms but nothing missing, clean and quiet. Abundant breakfast with everything and more! 😍 Used as a support to go to Cala Violina, which is about 30km away! The helpful and kind staff, convenient and ample parking!!

I returned after several years and it remains my favorite hotel in Massa Marittima. Family run, breakfast with very good products including homemade jams and cakes, basic but comfortable rooms. A little gem that makes you feel at home.

Fantastic hotel that I come to as soon as I can every summer. The location of the swimming pool overlooking the valley of olive trees is fantastic. The center of Massa Marittima is just 10 minutes away on foot. Friendly and professional staff. Also highly recommended for the price.

Great establishment. Real Tuscany aroma from all over the place. Big flaw is the lack of air conditioning units in rooms but as I learned this is common in all farm like hotels in all tuscany and maybe all Italy(?) At night its not a problem in August as the temp drops to 24-25 degrees C but at 35 C during halfday its a problem .

I had a great time. I was on business. Room air conditioned in a more than decent way, despite many other places. Breakfast is at 8. Since I leave at 7 to work, the girl made sure we had something ready early in the morning. Very kind and helpful. Fair price. Out of the chaos of the centre. Parking and swimming pool. Handsome

Enough comforts for a enjoyable stay but simple enough to keep costs low, there were facilities for making hot drinks in the room, as well as a mini-fridge. Due to it's small size Massa Alta was in easy walking distance of anywhere in the town but far enough away to be quiet. Very very nice. We stayed for 4 nights in the studio apartment for two people equipped with fridge, stove, kitchen utensils and sink. Very comfortable. Downstairs there is also the vending machine. The owner, Diletta, very kind and welcoming. Impeccable cleaning.

Very kind and professional welcome. The studio is very clean and tidy, smaller than it looks in the picture. Too bad I think it's unsuitable for the hottest summer period. The interior temperature is tropical, there is no air conditioning just a standing fan. The only window is not very isolated and lets in the heat of the sun even when it is closed, the air is exchanged only leaving the entrance door...

We stayed for 9 nights. It is a bit pricey, but service is outstanding, the people are very nice and they do breathe the customer first principle. Minor details like not so well thought out lighting inside the apartements can be easily coped with. Another minor thing is that sightseeing requires some traveling. Clear recommendation in every aspect! We didn't use their indoor facilities, though.

WOW... What a domain. The place is huge and has all the amenities one could wish for, pools, saunas, spas you name it. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fabulous with a very big selection to chose from. Dinner is simple but good. The mountain biking for every level is just amazing.

RECOMMENDED. After a tip from our guesthouse we decided to drive into the tuscan hills to this restaurant offering local dishes but also fine-dining. The house is very clean and stylish, the reality is better than photos. The kitchen is well equipped and a/c in every room. The place is very quiet, 20 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from beautiful Massa.

Amazing location on a small farm in the middle of an olive grove. It has a beautiful garden with lots of different fruit trees. The hosts are lovely as well as their dog Slash who is always happy and friendly.

My review will be a bit different than all the others, because we were looking for a place for workation, a place with good internet, and a swimming pool where we could work and at the same time keep an eye on our children. Agriturismo San Lorenzo 1866 is a corner of paradise! Pure relaxation and deceleration! The property is huge and since the house is very remote, you really don't hear anything! There is a barbecue area and of course the huge pool in and around which you can relax wonderfully. The sunsets are a dream! I can really recommend Maria's accommodation!

amazing place for a romantic holiday. it is a loneliness on the hill. the last kilometer you drive along a dirt road and then this homestead appears on the horizon. the big pool is super and the gas barbecue is 100%

Good for mountain biking but very basic food and accommodation. MTB guiding can be booked on site, very cool in the labyrinth of Massa, but not cheap! Half board wasn't available every day but requests were met but again $$$. After all, in the evening a great view of the valley. Breakfast - more than simple and unfortunately identical every day and really not an acceptable value for money, we missed...

A stone's throw from Massa Marittima, a few km from the sea, an excellent farmhouse surrounded by greenery with a swimming pool and two pools of spring water to cool off from the summer heat. The dinners prepared by Simone and Joelle with the help of the young Elia are perfect; kind and helpful people, attentive to guests' needs. Place to recommend !!! We will definitely be back !!!

A beautiful, historic building in the heart of the town which was clean and comfortable with all we needed for a short break. We even had breakfast provided which was an added bonus. I loved the beautiful ceilings and windows in the spacious room.

Our first stop was successful .. Clean and cozy room equipped with all comforts .. Easy to reach, it is located in a strategic point directly in the center. In the driveway you can find everything (shops, bars and restaurants) the owner is a very helpful person .. Very nice and very comfortable room in the center. Unfortunately, as there is no air conditioning and therefore having kept the windows open, we struggled to fall asleep and were often woken up, all due to the noises of the center.
