Reviews
Negatives:
1. The AC is central and does not appear to do much except throw a little air in the room. The temperature was 28* when outside it was 32. This was truly horrific considering the sea climate - felt like a sauna 24/7. The same was true in multiple other rooms from our group. When I reported it in the reception, the maintenance came in 30 minutes and just confirmed that this is the max (coldest setting) and nothing else can be done (said sorry shrugged and left).
2. The hotel is old (70/80 style) and was renovated at a point, however many things are broken/highly overused. The plastic window covers get stuck constantly (had to call maintenance again for a fix...), the shower holder is broken, the drains on both the toilet and the bath were barely draining. Due to 1 of the bath covers being broken, when the water gets out - the whole room gets flooded...
3. There is a hotel beach but as no one is monitoring it - people throw old/hotel towels from 8:00 to reserve sunning beds. So if you go at 10 after breakfast as a normal person, everything is occupied even if only ~1/4 of the people are there.
4. The king size bed is actually 2 split singles with hard springs, basic cheap mattresses.
5. The door lock cannot be locked with the key - only the knob on the outside serves as the lock.
6. The breakfast was fixed with very few options which were the same each day. The dinner had a little more but was still very limited with things such as no white meat dish at all etc (did not see a pizza once). Combine that with a very crowded and not so large unventilated canteen.
Positives:
1. The personnel were kind and spoke English. When reception had to call the maintenance guy to fix things - it happened fairly fast.
2. The floors are tiled and were cleaned daily, towels changed (if you throw them on the floor specifically).
3. The hotel is on first line, with a private beach 100m from it and also a paid minibar.
4. Very family-friendly pool area with a lot of kids. The main pool is ~ 20m×20m and there is a smaller pool for the kids.
Bar and cleaning staff are great but the reception staff not so much. Most barely know English and are not that accomodating.
Not the feeling of a 4 star hotel.
Had three cockroaches in the bathroom during the week so had to plug all holes.
Air conditioning mediocre, at least for temperatures 31-38 degrees.
Will not return.
The manager was nice but creepy towards all the young girls there.
And the beach is beautiful!
We hardly ever went out, because on the territory of the hotel you can swim in the pool, play various games and we had fun.
Active animators conducted many interesting games and entertainment events.
Amazing impressions, we would like to return to Hotel Eloro again.
Water tap at the bar for unlimited cooled water. Usable until midnight when bar closes.
Pizzeria makes great tasting pizzas with a lot of cheese and you can choose extra ingredients.
Nice beach (accomodations).
Clean.
---Negatives---
Terrible food all-round, especially breakfast. Almost always the same, where only a couple things are decently edible.
Drilling/hammering at 8:45 while breakfast is until 10:00 (so people sleeping).
EXTREMELY bad room sound isolation, and because of that it's terrible that they have no signs in the hallsways for silence/not SLAMMING doors at 7am/etc.
For our all-inclusive coffee (there wasn't any remark while booking): disgusting premade filter/satchelcoffee while good coffee machines are present, they charge extra!!
Showerdrain not working and on arrival smelling like rotten eggs.
Airco fan making weird loud noises.
Airco very weak, barely is enough.
Mexican restaurant 'icecream' = ONLY pistaccio, Sicilian restaurant: disgusting cannolo as in the terrible buffet, Pizzeria: only a pizza so no starter/dessert option.
No spare room key at the reception, which they should have but their reaction is: 'Oops we must have lost it once upon a time'.
Wifi usually is good but sometimes is so slow that it is simply unusable. Also sometimes devices keep dis- and reconnecting constantly which also makes it simply unusable.
staff:
Staff is very friendly please be reminded that these people work long days so ofcourse they wont be as lively around 8pm. Staff is helpfull and they speak pretty good english to my surprise.
Food:
Food was delicious! There was much variety. Yes the food wasn’t boiling hot but that’s always the case with buffets? The other restaurants were super delicious as well. Sometimes the buffet could get really busy so it’s nice to eat in the restaurant when you want to relax a little. I loved the food and enjoyed every meal every day.
I do have to admit that there was no variety in breakfast but i dont mind.
Rooms:
We stayed in the renovated room. It was beautiful, very clean. We had a fridge which was super helpful. Only the air conditioner didn’t do much for us. Also your room got cleaned every day.
entertainment:
I did not enjoy the entertainment that much but im not much of a “party” person anyway. I had my nights on the beach with my drinks.
You can get free water anytime and not all cocktails are all inclusive but the ones that were all inclusive were nice.
Location:
Across the hotel there is a small store where we bought stuff almost every day. If you forget something you can get it there. If you take a 10 min walk you get to much more restaurants, bars and stores.
I loved my stay definitely recommend going!
My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The entertainment went on until 1am, making it difficult to sleep. The reception staff, especially Alina, seemed unhelpful and unresponsive. Despite being asked to return multiple times to reception, we received no assistance. Another staff member blamed us for our booking choice and refused to refund us when we wanted to change hotels due to the sleep disturbances. The loud music was audible from all rooms, and the back rooms had noisy air conditioning units.
While the hotel might suit those interested in late-night partying, it's certainly not ideal for families. The beach was the only redeeming feature, but staying at the front of the beach wasn't an option because they had a few rows of sunbeds where you had to reserve . These remained empty .We had to settle for a non-private area to keep an eye on my niece while she played in the water.
It was frustrating that everything came with an additional cost, including WiFi, sunbeds, parking, and some food- and this is based on ‘all inclusive’. Thankfully, we found a restaurant adjacent to the hotel that served delicious food throughout the day. The outdated systems of the hotel are in need of a major update to match the standards found elsewhere in Europe. Customer facing staff need to be friendly and helpful.
As a seasoned traveler, I've been to various places around the world, but I can confidently say this is the worst hotel experience I've encountered.
Feedback from staff after explaining how the third room we moved to in 3 days had noise, and noisy neighbours, please can we check out early and be refunded of the last 2 nights.
‘Hello, thank you for your feeddback , however the will be no reunds. thank you’
