The breakfast is fantastic. There's fruit, pickled vegetables, bread, yoghurt and a cereal station - something for everyone. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You get access to complementary bus passes and the local spa/sauna/pool. It is a quick walk to the town centre. You could hear a bit of noise from other rooms but nothing major.

The stay was excellent. The room was clean (and cleaned each day) and spacious, breakfast more than enough to keep you going for a couple of hours. Special thanks to Rita - we saw her doing everything: from check-ins and check-outs to keeping an eye on supplies for breakfast, always with a smile and ready to to answer all questions you may have. I strongly recommend.

We loved our stay at hotel Fortuna. The location is superb, walking distance from everything you need (city center, groceries, the gondolas). Breakfast is beautiful and the view from our room facing the mountains was amazing. The balcony was so relaxing and we could near the birds every morning. It is a family run hotel and they are all so lovely. I recommend Hotel Fortuna 1000%. The sweetest place!

This was an excellent experience. Rita was above and beyond helpful. The location was perfect and the breakfast couldn't be better. Great value for money specially if you are going for hikes. I would definitely recommend and would be happy to go back!

When you enter the Fortuna Hotel you know you are in the Dolomites. The room 42 was very typical of a Tyrolean Chalet, lots of pine and when you open the door to the balcony you have a jaw dropping view of the mountain side and cable cars. Every amenity was provided and in the morning the breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice and all looked after by the helpful and jovial Rita even with the language barrier. Very convenient, 5 minutes walk to town. A great choice.

Rita is wonderful! She is friendly and so thoughtful. She is exceptionally attentive and provides first rate customer service. Rita also puts together the most amazing breakfast spread you could wish for. The hotel is situated perfectly near the town and provides a lovely view!

I stayed here for four nights in July. The room was very comfortable and equipped. It was a great place to stay while going out hiking every day. What made this day exceptional was Rita. She doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Italian but we managed to communicate well enough that she took care of everything that I needed. She went out of her way to make sure I had breakfast even on the mornings I left before the dining room opened. Sometimes it’s the people that make a place special.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here!! Clean, easy to find, helpful staff, beautiful views, great breakfast, easy access to Saceda and Aple di Suisse! Staff were so helpful with my questions about navigating the bus as well as letting us leave our things in a safe spot after checkout so we could explore a little more before we left. 5min walk from the bus station, to the main area in town, as well as the lifts to the 2 hikes mentioned above. Was quaint, something out of a fairy tale, we loved it! I read somewhere in our initial research to find a hotel that they had laundry-they do not, just want to clarify not complain :)

What a wonderful place to stay. Superb location, warm and welcoming and great value for money. Exceptionally clean & comfortable rooms. The team working there - awesome, special mention to Rita who was just fantastic; nothing was ever an issue or problem and she would go out of her way to help out!

Convenient location with easy walk to shops/restaurants/funi, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, and a beautiful view from our room. Staff are very nice and helpful. Don't forget to get the bus/train passes from front desk. It allows you to travel for free throughout South Tyrol. When we left Ortisei, six of us took bus/trains all the way to Innsbruck for no charge!
