We had such a fabulous stay in this hotel. The owner is so friendly and accommodating, and will go out of his way to ensure you have the most pleasant stay, and gives helpful tips for activities in the area.
The hotel rooms have character, yet are modern, with comfortable beds and beautiful views of the mountains. The hotel has a hot tub and a sauna on the 1st floor, which was perfect after a long day of hiking. You also get access to the public pool across the street. This place was perfect for our romantic getaway.
We will return one day!

I want to return one day. The host was so friendly and accommodating. Felt like a bed and breakfast with all the comfort and convenience of a hotel. Excellent breakfast, cozy rooms and great location. Steps from the Seceda lift

This hotel is centrally located right at the city centre , within walking distance to several cable car stations. Paid car park at the back of the hotel . Breakfast of rich variety. Peter at the Reception is efficient , pleasant and most helpful. Would certainly recommend to our friends !

Excellent location & great variety of breakfast . We stayed for 5 nights. We am particularly impressed by the outstanding service of Peter at the Reception. We arrived late almost 8 pm . Peter greeted me outside the Hotel Entrance and showed me where to park . He helped us carrying our heavy luggages to our room. Later, for the first time when we drove our car out of the garage , we didn’t not know how to make payment. Incidentally, Peter appeared and showed me with patience how to do it . When we returned to the garage a few hours later , we found it difficult to drive through the driveway into the garage. Peter suddenly showed up and helped us out in this difficult situation. The most impressive is that Peter did all these in a most helpful attitude and pleasant manner . He just appeared every time in our difficult situation like an “angel” to us. He also told us that the Pope has stayed in this hotel. We were impressed when we saw pictures on the wall of the Breakfast Room that 3 Popes have paid visits in this Hotel ! We will certainly recommend this hotel to our friends for the excellent location and Peter’s outstanding service . Peter : Thank you for everything !

We loved the Snalterhof, in the center of town, big rooms, with a view, pet friendly, amazing cozy breakfast room and great choices including all kind of cakes. Peter is the "Best Host" ever ! He made our stay memorable. Private secure garge. WE come back

Storied hotel indeed -- it's been in operation for 300 years. The bakery connected to it is 150 years old and is the oldest business in Ortisei. The rooms are rustic but extremely well built and maintained. The morning guy at the desk was quite helpful as we sought to sort out which trails to take. The afternoon girl helped us sort through a myriad of other problems. It is literally the best location in Ortisei right at the end of the Plaza in front of the bus stop. Breakfast is quite good, especially before a long day of hiking. We got free bus passes with the room (helpful) and swimming pool passes (less so).

The hotel is in a central location with an easy walk to restaurants, bars, and cable cars. My room on the top floor was comfortable. Breakfast was very good, but note it’s continental so not many hot options. The hotel’s location on the main square can bring some outside noise. Especially since you’ll need to open the windows for cool air at night. The windows also don’t have any blinds/curtains, so you’ll get the morning light and may also give the neighbors a show. Staff wasn’t great - I had to ask three times to get directions to their car park and, despite offering to recommend hikes based on the weather, he wasn’t actually interested in doing so. All in all, a reasonable option in Ortisei. Despite these issues, I would stay here again if the price is right.

We stayed in spotlessly clean Room 30 on the top floor which had a wide view of the cable cars going up the mountain, just beautiful. It had everything we needed (including a community refrigerator and kettle on each floor). The hotel is located right in the middle of town within walking distance to everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially with deciding what to do each day and assessing the weather. One day we took the Seceda cable car to the top and walked a bit, the next day we drove a circle around the mountains through exquisite scenery, and the third day we took the Aloe di Suisi cable car up to the biggest Alpine meadow in Europe and walked around there. The staff directed is to wonderful restaurants as well (the hotel’s restaurant was not open yet). Breakfast is free and plentiful. Reasonably priced parking is adjacent to the hotel. We couldn’t have asked for more.

We stayed at Garni Snaltnerhof for a few days to enjoy some skiing.
Pietro provided a great, very friendly, professional service throughout our stay. Turned on the Sauna and Hot Tub for our après ski relaxation. Provided clear instructions on where to park, where to rent skis.
The room is clean and was kept clean throughout our stay.
The staff is very welcoming and very friendly.
Location is ideal. Walking distance from ski rental shops and ski slopes.
Small details that we enjoyed :
The room's door's lock closes but doesnt snap or make noise. The doors are equiped with silencers so that they don't make noise when they're being closed.
Bathroom is modern and comes with all the amenities you would need.
Our only comment is that we would have liked a bit more natural light into the room (note: it was a top floor room, right under the roof). Otherwise it's very comfortable, clean, and cozy.
We recommend and would come back !

We stayed for 5 nights during the last week of September and our first time in the Dolomites. It was centrally located in town and the bus stop is just in front of the hotel. It was in a great location where everything is close by. We walked everywhere which was great especially after a long hike in the Val Gardena mountains. We ate dinner in restaurants close by. At check in, the reception gave us a transportation pass that was good for public transportation which we used a lot to get around Val Gardena so we just left our car in the parking lot. We knew ahead of time that we had to pay for parking and the garage is just next to the hotel. The staff were awesome and very friendly. The breakfast was very filling and they offered a variety of food and drinks. I typically don’t eat pastries and the croissants were delicious. The servers at breakfast were the best and they serve coffee/cappuccino fresh. We used the jacuzzi everyday after our hike and it was a plus especially since it had beautiful Mountain View and the cable cars going up to Alpe di Suisi. We had a standard room with a good view of the city center. It was surprisingly quiet at night. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.
