Two-star hotel but comparable to a three-star hotel. There is no elevator, but the stairs are sweet. Competitive price. Very close to the train and bus station. Excellent cleanliness.

Nice hotel in the center of Chiavenna. Positioned near the main points of interest. Typical Valtellinese cuisine and rich buffet breakfast. Reference point for stops in the area.

Very comfortable for the price point. Wifi was bad though (we were in the 5th floor) and the bed spread/comforter was very thin and not comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly except for Der Kirektor who seemed quite frustrated and grumpy.

Price for value is fine: It is a simple hotel, in a convenient location with polite service. The location is at a busy round about, just outside the old town, only 10 minutes on foot from the bus and train station. The city is not very busy. But ask for a room facing the river. They are more quiet and the view is better. Our room had three beds and a sizable bathroom. The breakfast is nothing special...

Ugly on the outside, but very nice on the inside. Rooms are renovated above italian standard in that price class, beds are fantastic. Never had such a great bathroom in Italy... Staff is very friendly and welcoming and the menu was a blast. Fair prices! Breakfast is good, too... but the coffee is nothing for people with heart issues.^^ Would definetely recommend it and will be happy to return next...

Pretty decent rooms and great service. WiFi is a bit dodgy but other than that it pretty much has everything you could need.

The hotel is very welcoming. A few minutes walk close to the main train station and bus terminus. The reception was quite helpful giving us assistance when required. The hotels "crotta" (restaurant) is one of the best in the village offering a variety of traditional dishes as well as contemporary cuisine.

We ended up staying to this hotel by chance! rooms are clean with a beautiful window view. they also have a pretty good bar. breakfast is also really good. we enjoyed our night at the bar meeting friendly people, and also the staff and the owner are very nice people. Giving this overall a 5 star base on my experience. would recommend and would go back and stay here!

Eating at the restaurant: food was good. Staff could have been more attentive. Long waits between courses. Prices at the higher end. Waitress was friendly.

Giovanni is the best host I’ve meet so far. Due to circumstances I arrived to the property quite late and Giovanni was absolutely available to do a late check-in and he was very helpful with advising places to see. As well he rented me a bike and was extremely kind to pick me up in the middle of mountains when it got dark - he told that this happens quite often to the guests not familiar with the area...

The owner was welcoming and gave me the right information to make my stay enjoyable (including advice for parking and charging an electric car). Nicely renovated B&B in the basement of an ancient house in the center of village San Giacomo Filippo, which is located approximately 2 km north of Chiavenna. Creative interior, introducing modern comfort while maintaining the original character of the place. The B&B is perfect for couples. Really quaint, clean and charming. The village in which it is located and the nearby villages are also very particular, not to mention the fascinating Chiavenna. Absolutely recommended.

The room is very welcoming, warm and romantic, very clean. The bathroom looks like a cave has a very large shower and hot water. Soft towels. The bed was very comfortable. The host was very kind, we hadn't seen that check in started at 6pm and we arrived at 4.30pm but she arrived immediately and gave us the room even though she wasn't at home, highly recommended

The host and her dog, Olivia, are extremely friendly and helpful. Since we were on a bike tour and hadn't eaten anything yet and the restaurant in town only serves food to its own hotel guests, she even offered to drive us to Chiavenna. Staying in the middle of the old village of Chiavenna was a fantastic experience. Recommended highly, breakfast in house excellent and 10 out of 10 for the manager Monica. She made our holiday there very special.

I've been here before with a group of business friends. We had a great time. Reception at the highest level. Thank you, the receptionist Maria, the other person at the reception, Abby, and the head nurse, Tina. We enjoyed the views of the beautiful nature and the wonderful appearance of the complex. I will visit it next year with a group of other friends

We booked a night spontaneously on a motorcycle trip. They let us park the bikes inside the garage which they closed for us. Food was ok, all in all we liked it here.

Only used the restaurant for a dinner for four. Some other positive notes which leave some doubts. On the positive reception, courteous and helpful even though we arrived at 21.30 with the local already empty. From reviewing the price for the menu offered at a fixed price and the quality of some courses. On the menu is the covered was added for a placemat paper seemed to me exaggerated. The staff were amazing. So friendly and lovely people. The food was fantastic and they bent over backwards to accommodate our dietary requirements. We loved everything about this hotel and can’t wait to go back. The room was also lovely and beds comfey. Breakfast was amazing.

Have stayed in four hotels in Madesimo and this is the best so far. Family run and very friendly. Amazing food especially the breakfast. Loads of hot water and heating that we had to turn off, it was so good. Nothing is too much trouble. Great position for the ski lifts ( 75 yards to the nearest). Will definitely stay again if we can.

Our fifth visit for a skiing holiday and wouldn't go anywhere else now. Superb value and always a fantastic holiday - always welcomed back and genuinely remembered. Central location within 100m of main ski lift. Family-run (and you feel like part of the family). Mountains of very good home-cooked regional food, great ambience, lively with locals at the weekends.Can't recommend it highly enough.

We stayed for a week in March 2017. The hotel staff and management were very friendly and welcoming all week, and the dinner was excellent each night. The hotel is in the middle of town, and right by one of the lifts. We thought it was great value, and plan to stay another time.

It was a last minute booking for 4 of us to go skiing and just staying for 1 night, the resort was quiet as it was low season in the week but there was still a buzz around the hotel. The manager greeted us at the door and without asking upgraded our 4 bed room to 2 twin rooms which was perfect, and immediately after checking us in was back serving food and doing the bar. The guy who was handling everything...

Been in there a couple of times on this trip, I think it might be our favourite bar, great food and wine at really good price. Service was excellent and the kids really enjoyed it. I can wholeheartedly recommend the goulash it was superb.

We keep going back. Lovely place and nice people. 7 minutes walk (with skis) to the slopes. Good food in the resturant.

We stayed here for 4 nights in January in a twin room. The service was wonderful by the staff who clearly pride themselves on their establishment. The room itself was quite small and the entire place is quite noisy with little insulation between the rooms. The whole place is outdated and needs renovating. The wifi that is advertised as being available throughout the hotel is most certainly not available...

Due to a technical mistake with another structure, our booking was married to the sport hotel Alpina. The initial doubts vanished within a few minutes: ready to welcome us a very kind girl (I don't remember the name) who explains the rules of the structure, with whom we spend a few minutes. After the registration process, he takes us to our room on the third floor. The very nice, clean, modern room...

Initially we had a technical problem with the TV not working but Vittoria, always kind and helpful, moved us from room. The hotel is located in a wonderful location with spectacular views of the lake and the mountains. Madesimo can be reached easily in 8 minutes. The owners helpful and kind. I advise .
