Hotel l'Approdo in Porto Azzurro

Great Hotel with direct seaside view. We booked a room facing the ocean and had an amazing view into the Harbour. The rooms have air condition and have a good size. The bed is comfortable and the cleaning personnel keeps the rooms very clean every day. Wonderful service, good italian breakfast with great coffee. If you book via the website you get a discount for the ferry to Elba.

There is a small beach with free umbrellas and chairs right in front of the house. Also parking is possible, if you manage to get one of the 13 spots in front of the hotel. It almost always worked out for us.

Bring some ear plugs because the traffic is often loud if your room faces the seaside.

The staff was great. Super accommodating and helpful. The view from the seaside rooms is beautiful, and even though the hotel is on the street, it was still quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Small partially refurbished hotel on the seafront just as you enter Porto Azzurro. I believe it has its own small private beach but being the end of October, we didn't use it! The staff were very friendly and helped us with any queries we had. The place was spotless and respectful of covid regulations. Our room (economy double) was at the back. It had the advantage of not looking on to the main road so was quiet, but only a couple of metres from the mountain so had a limited view which made no difference to us as we were out all day. The only hitch was breakfast...there was only a choice of sweet stuff-croissants, home made cakes, cereal, jams, fruit and yoghurt, foods which are a no-no for me. After explaining my problem to the waiter, he brought me a personal dish of ham and sliced cheese, so "problem"solved. Again this nay have been due to the fact that we were there in low season. All in all, I would be happy to return to the hotel and would highly recommend it to anybody asking for advice.

The sea in the room. The property boasts an enviable position as it overlooks the sea. Very tight parking. Not very varied breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice room but not very narrow bathroom. Good housekeeping.
