Il Castagnolo B&B

I recently stayed at Il Castagnolo in San Gimignano from June 20 to June 21 and had an exceptional experience. The hotel is located conveniently close to the town, just an 8-minute drive away, making it an ideal spot for travelers wanting to explore the area.

Cleanliness:
The room was impeccably clean, and it was clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Staff Friendliness:
The staff was amazing—extremely friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Amenities:
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was simple yet very good, with a variety of options available. The coffee was a particular delight, made to order and just the way I like it.

Overall Experience:
Overall, my experience at Il Castagnolo was fantastic. The hotel's proximity to San Gimignano town adds to its appeal, making it easy to visit the local attractions while enjoying a peaceful stay. The combination of excellent service, cleanliness, and convenient location makes this hotel a top choice.

Amazing place with amazing and helpful staff. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly. The rooms, the restaurant, the pool—everything is clean and nice. The only problem is with the taxis from San Gimignano it's pretty hard to get one, so keep in mind to have a car or hire a transfer car if you are planning on going for a wine tasting at some nearby wineries. :)

We spent a whole week in this beautiful place. The resort is located in the heart of Tuscany. There are beautiful landscapes of vineyards and olive groves all around. From the courtyard you can see the towers of San Gimignano.
The rooms are clean and spacious.

Unfortunately, the service is very unpleasant. The lady serving breakfast points out to guests how many eggs they ate. Seriously! I took 4 eggs for my family of 5. When the next guests came and asked about eggs, the waitress pointed at us in front od all people and informed us that we ate 4 eggs and that's why there were not enough for the rest of the guests. Also add She will not boiled eggs for rest of the guests. It was Sunday breakfast with the guest house fully booked. I have never experienced such rudeness anywhere in any hotel. The lady reluctantly makes coffee and tea. She disappears at the reception, sitting on the phone in her hand so that no one will look for her.
Dear B&B owners, maybe it would be a good idea to provide guests with a coffee machine for breakfast time? Then they could come and serve themselves.

There is a kitchen in the resort that cannot be used. Apparently you can order food in the guest house, but the same waitress told us that she can only prepare toast for us.
To sum up, this is a climatic place with clean and spacious rooms. Unfortunately, the service is unsympathetic.
