The hostel is normal. Reception open till 23:00. Is mixed in dorm so was sleeping with 3 guys in a room. There is a shower, couldn't say about the cleanliness because could be better in shower. No problems with check in or check out. Room was pretty clean. Beds were too close and bed lights didn't work. Due to the strong winds, the "locked" window would swing open every half an hour or so which led to a poor sleeping experience. Not sure if they could've done something about it since I only stayed one night but it was not a very welcoming stay overall.

Clean, comfy bed. Helpful reception and adequate facilities. No kitchen though, would be nice if there was a refrigerator.

The hotel was close to shopping and walkable to dining.

Our stay at The Nuovo Albergo was great... the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable, clean crisp sheets, comfortable beds, and a nice bathroom. This hotel was basic but our room had a private bathroom and Air conditioning. 6 stairs to the elevator so not completely accessible however they did have a wheelchair lift. Area around the hotel was safe feeling and close to shopping and restaurants. Great stopover hotel before or after a cruise.

Quirky, interesting little hotel in a pedestrian-only area. Rooms with balconies overlooking a Roman arch that gives the hotel its name. There wasn't someone at reception when I arrived so a phone call was necessary but they responded quickly.

In a great location, the apartment exceeded our expectations and made our stay in Trieste very comfortable. 

I stayed one night here. The room was small but sufficient for a short stay, with space to open a suitcase and a bathroom with a shower. Though the bed could be more comfortable, it was adequate for one night. The hotel is near a busy street with many restaurants and is a 15-minute walk from the train station. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's an ideal, affordable option for a short stay.

Very useable budget hotel located centrally. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops. 15 minutes or so walking to the harbor area. Management were very helpful and knowledgeable about local amenities and services. Fairly quiet and accessible 24 7

The hotel's location is excellent; cleanliness is average, with a minimum of toiletry similar to a hostel. The check out time is at 11.00 a.m. You must be very aware of this because the pretended friendliness of the manager becomes very unpleasant. This reason makes me not want to come back to this place. Besides, they don't have an elevator!

The price (100 euro) was a little higher than the standard would justify compared to higher quality locations nearby like Hotel Brioni (60 euro) or Hotel Roma (86 euro) but the staff is very helpful and accommodating. If you arrive at a crazy hour, Hotel Istria will take care of you.

Considering the price (just over 70 euros per night) the room has very quiet air conditioning, everything you need, an en-suite bathroom, a good breakfast, room cleaning every morning, private parking. I challenge anyone to find a room at this price not only in Trieste, but in most of Italy. The owner Mr. Katia is also uniquely kind, she will find the solution to everything you need. Was not easy to find the front desk and then the key to the room, but finally nice room, cool old ambiance, clean and fresh, nice price, just in the middle of city center and close to the sea side city walk.

Very centric with nice view on a pedestrian street. The room was cosy and functional. It was interesting the locking system, never seen before.

Nice discovery in Trieste! B&B located in a typical building in the historic center but in a secondary street. The rooms of the building are pleasant and elegant and the interior furnishings are fascinating, recently renovated with modern elements and the classic style of the original building with the addition of beautiful plants in all rooms. Wonderful, well-situated spot with a very welcoming hostess. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the b&b is an easy walk to many great sites, including thr waterfront, churches, and shopping.

I stayed there in June for work, excellent location, very close to the coastal area, to the wonderful Piazza Unità d Italia and served by buses, which run every 5 minutes, to the central station area. A stone's throw away in the sea area you will find all the restaurants you want. Simple and very clean environment, quite large rooms and helpful staff. Excellent b&b definitely recommended for location...

Clean and well-designed apartment with a relatively well-equipped kitchen. Very conveniently located to the train station and within walking distance of local sights, bars and restaurants. Check in procedures were handled very efficiently by staff. Small but functioning elevator to the apartment.
