Very good hotel, great swimming pool, we have stayed at 3 hotels in Volterra this week and this gets our top rating. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very very kind; clean, fresh and quiet room. Hotel located very close to the center of Volterra (5 minutes walk) with a covered parking close by. Abundant breakfast. Excellent ratio between quality and money
Comfortable, clean rooms in a nice quiet end of town. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed talking to the staff in the breakfast room. However, when we checked out, the proprietor accused us of stealing pool towels - we didn’t even use the pool - and clearly thought I was lying when I said we didn’t use any towels. She was so aggressive and insistent that I was going to open my suitcase to prove my innocence...
Great location, clean and comfortable and a bonus having a pool when temperatures in mid 30s Cons stayed 2 years ago and they had there own restaurant which we did half board and was lovely, they no longer have but use a restaurant in town which we found but no staff were present so went elsewhere to eat. Plus limited bar hours 3.30 until 8pm which is a negative as when round pool in day can t get...
Very clean and helpful staff. Liked the location within the city walls. Nice to have a leisurely look around. Plenty of places to eat.

Delightful old-style hotel. Nice spacious room, very spacious bathroom (by Italian standards), very comfortable bed and linens. WiFi worked well. Very nice continental breakfast (Anglo-Saxons please note - cooked breakfast items are extra!). Nice location, apart from the parking which, as in most Tuscan hilltop towns, is a complete bugger. We parked in the free parking where the camper vans park, and...
We stayed 2 nights in August and had a wonderful stay. The location is excellent, easy parking, and very friendly service. Great breakfast, highly recommended. Rob & Sara
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff who guided us on our brief trip to Volterra. The hotel is lovely and in a great location… within walking distance of everything you’d like to see on a trip to this beautiful place. Our rooms were also impeccably clean and lovely. It was an added bonus to have such a nice breakfast offered, as well as patio access. Many thanks to Oksana and Monica for their kindness...
This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, clean, tasteful and beautifully decorated. The welcome was wonderful and so helpful, we felt very well received. The location was perfect. The breakfast was utterly delicious, the best of the five hotels we stayed at in Tuscany. Don’t think twice, book this hotel, you will be delighted!!
A very nIce little hotel, there was a hot water problem in the morning. But they kindly offered a price reduction as compensation.
The hotel has a very good location. Breakfast was brought to your room due to covid-19 with a lot of options to choose from. Staff was really kind and helpfull. The room ans bathroom were very spacious. Great hotel for a visit to Volterra.

Lovely family driven hotel... The hosts are very welcoming. We are enjoying every minute of our stay. Restaurant with simple and authentic Tuscan dishes for a very fair price.
Great view... peaceful environment. Maintenance of bathroom needed. I would certainly like to be back.
Beautiful setting. Wonderful staff. Clean, basic accommodations in a convenient location. Free parking just outside hotel. Hotel is walking distance to town center, shops, food, etc
Good hotel in Volterra - big and clean room - good price for a single/double room - staff very friendly and good continental breakfast included in the price- also a good sized pool available for guests

Great location in the middle of the town. Very beautiful rooms. Lovely lounge for reading and coffee. Breakfast was superb. The host was very helpful with bag drop and parking in the ZTL.
Very interesting accommodation with nice service. The rooms and the whole place looks so vintage, that makes me fell in love with it immediately! The rooms are kind of a maze with very sweet paints on the walls around. If you want to feel the real Italian spirit in the center of an Italian fortress this is the right place!
Perfect location in Volterra! Breakfast was good, staff super-friendly and the garden is a very cozy place to hang out after a day walking around in the city.
We spent 2 nights here and wished it was more! The owners Paula her husband, and staff were warm, friendly and very efficient! The breakfast was by far the best we had encountered in our 2 month stay in Italy. Highly recommended this hotel!
A story... My daughter and I have been planning our trip to Italy for well over a year. Upon arrival in Volterra, we come to find out accommodation is closed, no warning, no telephone calls. We were stranded, and saw the sign for the Albergo Etruria, and went in to see if maybe they might have space for us for two nights. Alas, they did not, but, the gentleman at the reception desk took charge and...
This was a fantastic stay. People were super nice and helpful. Room was clean and the roof was incredible to drink wine on. Can't ask for more. Central yet good rest.

The Hotel located close to the inner city. The staff was really friendly. We could have a proper breakfast, wide and fresh sortiment!!
We had a really good time in this small hotel located on the outskirts of Volterra. It is the ideal accommodation if you want to spend a nice holiday in the aforementioned charming town without having to adapt to the clearly higher prices in the center of Volterra. Excellent welcome from the staff who always showed up smiling and helpful, up to expectations room and bathroom and more than decent breakfast...
We had a great time for one night discovering Volterra. The property is located just outside the walls of the village, about 6 minutes on foot and about 3 minutes from the Conad market, convenient for any need. The rooms are quite comfortable, the car park is private and the value for money is excellent. The receptionist is very kind
The hotel is very friendly and the small pool area is very well kept and quiet. Decor in the rooms dated but everything we needed and would definitely go back as the location is super. Breakfast is continental but there is a wide range of food and drinks available.

The hotel is quaint. The food is good and so. Is the service. It's a good place for kids and large groups.
Seems promising, but quality of the rooms is lower. Breakfast is poor. On the other side, it was cheaper than the other places. Walking distance to the center of the city is very good.
Excellent value hotel for the money. Our stay on the 3rd floor in a family room was quite pleasant, with a view of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Breakfast was standard fare for Italian hotel breakfast. Check-in was quick and professional. The guy checking us in gave some great advice of how to get around Volterra, which was nice. If we ever go to Volterra again, we'll definitely be staying...

Hotel is a bit dated but it has a great pool. Only warning is that there is a nasty hill climb required to get into town and there is no cab. It looked like there was a bus that goes up the hill top the center Volterre
Nice hotel on a very good location in Volterra / Tuscany. Great view on the hills from the pool. Breakfast and diner are fine. Hotel is a bit outdated and needs some new paint but nevertheless we had a pleasant stay.
Fantastic location with incredible reviews. Amazing staff. Very personable and always open to help. They made our stay a lot of fun. Especially Mia the bartender:) Will be back for sure
Very nice hotel. If you want to stay in Volterra to explore the city this is a perfect place. Swimming pool is very nice and when temperature is so high it is a must! Rooms are clean and comfortable. We haven't checked the restaurant, just dor breakfast, which was really fine.
My family and I had a great time. It has everything you need to enjoy a Tuscan holiday: the rooms were spacious and clean, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the swimming pool... just as much as we loved our evening drink while taking in the beautiful scenery. Prices are reasonable. Recommended.

Authentic Tuscan villa - clean and comfortable- room cleaned every day - breakfast was a real treat every morning - different dishes each morning with a Tuscan theme. Luca very informative about the locale and beyond.
Very nice stay ! The rooms are big, clean, with airco and minibar and the swimming pool is nice too. You have your own umbrella reserved, no need to wake up earlier in the morning :) The breakfast is simply amazing! It changes every day and the dolce are excellent. Finally, Lucas is always there to help you when needed. He can guide you to visit the region.
Perfect hotel as a base to explore the whole of Tuscany and ideal for enjoying all that Volterra has to offer. Great hospital and amazing home cooked breakfasts every morning... with cake!
OUTSTANDING! Luca runs an amazing, clean B&B with awesome views of Tuscany, nice pool and a breakfast to die for. Housekeeping was fantastic. Bar is well stocked. Free wifi. Luca has numerous suggestions for traveling around Tuscany and restaurants to dine at.
Hotel by far surpassing the usual *** standard. We had a beautiful room with a fantastic view of the valley and the city of Volterra. Equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, free and excellent wifi in and outside the hotel, a modern beautifully designed bathroom, even special mattresses (that we did not need) on demand, you could not wish for more. The pool is very clean and like the hotel itself...
Very nice place with great view! The hosts are very very nice and treat you like a family. They give brief explanations on attractions. They even cooked us a birthday cake when we celebrated :) The rooms are very nice, clean, breakfast is great, nice swimming pool. There is free parking and free WiFi. Enjoy

It was a lovely stay at Agrihotel il Palagetto! The villa is located in a solitary area among the hills and olive gardens. From the terrace opens gorgeous views of the surroundings. This is a very cozy hotel with a soothing atmosphere: beautiful sunsets, birdsong and cooing doves under the roof. The room is cozy, spacious and clean. Very nice and helpful staff. Special thanks to the owners of the hotel...
It is somewhat overpriced for what you get. However, the views and location are stunning. The rooms are getting tired with a few things in need of repair.
The location and views are fantastic. A lovely owner, however the food is average. Here and there are some things they'll need to pay attention to (swimming pool is looking worn out, rooms are clean, but bathrooms can be be better, breakfast is average,..) but the views and location make a lot of these things up of course!
View on Tuscan's hills and countryside is stunning. The pool is perfect. Breakfast is good. Very pleasant and peacefull place. Highly recomended.
The host Julia is very attentive and sweet with children. No matter what time you'll arrive, the chef will fix you a meal. Wonderful place, wonderful people.
Perched on a small hill with great views all around. Excellent place to chill and unwind. Good food, friendly staff. Short drive to Volterra and a good base for exploring Tuscany.

It has a perfect location right in the city center! the room is quite comfortable and the bed is large for one person. I like the bathroom, it is very spacious and new! Among staff there was one very neutral person and another very kind, polite, highly positive and available to help!
Friendly and helpful young staff. The room is brand new (except for the fixtures), it does not have a minibar but it has a food warmer and two cups to drink herbal teas. Strategic location near the "customs" paid parking. Very clean room and hotel. The bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer and 6 dispensers containing shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, body cream and micellar water. The hair...
We had a great time, very kind and helpful staff, the guy at the reception gave us a lot of useful information. The hotel must have recently been refurbished, perhaps it lacked some furniture (such as bedside tables) but it looks very nice. Features the wall ceiling lights. Satisfied, we will definitely be back
For our holidays we relied on this hotel, they gave us room 308, considering that we asked for the B&B formula because we like to wander around, we were interested only and exclusively in the room for sleeping and breakfast. A few steps (or rather steps) from the historic center, a little high price for the rooms it offers. Recommended for its proximity to the center
Welcomed, comfortable room, clean, with air conditioning, but difficult to regulate to sleep so we stopped it and we got hot ... breakfast is not there ... to be taken in a cafe in the city, so do not be afraid to climb 400m ~ to be entitled ... it's a shame!
Lovely little place to stay with free parking (small car park though). Rooms were clean and in good standing, the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend
A nice well-kept place close to the center of Volterra. The guys are super nice and really helpful. it deserves 5 stars but unfortunately it is very close to the road that goes down from Volterra towards the valley which is very busy both day and night and the noise is really a lot. But congratulations for the cleanliness and courtesy
The structure is beautiful and welcoming. The only flaw is breakfast at a nearby bar which is inconvenient for those with limited time

Very silent, about 20 minutes walking distance to Volterra. The Restaurant was closed in mid of May. Breakfast is tasty, however, we were the only guests besides one other couple. The room is equipped with an open fire place (not in use) and has a small table and a cupboard. In the bathroom a shower cell would be better than the curtain. Parking space is close and easy to reach. Good price. The view...

= A commendable variety of excellent quality foods, prepared in a genuine way and served hot (which rarely happens in other restaurants), served with particular kindness and attention, in internal rooms (anti-contagion regulations permitting) and splendid external settings, for moderate prices !
5 stars for the restaurant. We ate here by chance and found it to be one of the best examples of Tuscan cooking (boar, porcini, truffles, finochiona, pecorino, Fiorentina etc) and Tuscan hospitality. Portions were big, prices are fair, service was very very very friendly. We’ve eaten our way across this part of Tuscany over the last few years and will definitely return next time.
Nice Hotel but not many guests. Restaurant closed on Tuesday, bathrooms need some maintenance. AC in rooms. Very nice and polite staff. Nice park garden around hotel. Nice breakfast
Staying here is a delight. Nice rooms, very friendly and excellent service. The restaurant serves excellent food & wine from local source. Also the hotel is conveniently situated in the center of all major sightseeing places in Toscane.
We have been visiting Irma at Molino d'Era for the last10 years, in fact we have now visited four times and have recommended it to many of our friends. It is a long way from Australia, but we would not think of visiting Italy without a few days here. The restaurant is extremely good, with local food very well cooked and presented. We enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations, food and location were excellent and the owners were very nice. The pool was a bonus.
I'm reluctant to post because part of me don't want to reveal this hidden gem! Rifugio Dei Sogni is one of the most idyllic places in the whole of Tuscany. It translates to 'Shelter of Dreams' which is the perfect description of this absolutely stunning Agriturismo located a few Kms from the Etruscan walled City of Volterra. 🤩Amazing and breathtaking location; beautiful room; lovely atmosphere. The host is super sweet, nice and available. Quiet place in the hills, but only a dozen of minutes from the centre of Volterra. Prices in line with the offer. Definitely recommended!
Amazing view of the surroundings and nearby Volterra and San Gimignano. Rooms are nice albeit a bit small but they each have a private terrace to have breakfast on.
Breakfast was delicious, view was also as advertised, excellent room! Car is a must have...only thing missing is dinner (wine) within walking distance!
Amazing bed and breakfast experience! Rooms with beautiful views and a superb breakfast. A must if you're looking for a nice getaway!
