However, when we checked out, the proprietor accused us of stealing pool towels - we didn’t even use the pool - and clearly thought I was lying when I said we didn’t use any towels

Very good hotel, great swimming pool, we have stayed at 3 hotels in Volterra this week and this gets our top rating. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great location, clean and comfortable and a bonus having a pool when temperatures in mid 30s Cons stayed 2 years ago and they had there own restaurant which we did half board and was lovely, they no longer have but use a restaurant in town which we found but no staff were present so went elsewhere to eat

30 until 8pm which is a negative as when round pool in day can t get a drink and same when come back after night in town

Very very kind; clean, fresh and quiet room. Hotel located very close to the center of Volterra (5 minutes walk) with a covered parking close by. Abundant breakfast. Excellent ratio between quality and money

She was so aggressive and insistent that I was going to open my suitcase to prove my innocence. Just just said “fine” and literally turned her back on me

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff who guided us on our brief trip to Volterra. The hotel is lovely and in a great location… within walking distance of everything you’d like to see on a trip to this beautiful place

The breakfast was utterly delicious, the best of the five hotels we stayed at in Tuscany. Don’t think twice, book this hotel, you will be delighted!!

The rooms were spacious, clean, tasteful and beautifully decorated. The welcome was wonderful and so helpful, we felt very well received

The cost was 25 Euros, which is what a paid parking lot would have cost, had I been able to find a space. My suggestion - follow the hotel's directions and advice. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Good hotel in Volterra - big and clean room - good price for a single/double room - staff very friendly and good continental breakfast included in the price- also a good sized pool available for guests

Lovely family driven hotel... The hosts are very welcoming. We are enjoying every minute of our stay. Restaurant with simple and authentic Tuscan dishes for a very fair price.

Beautiful setting. Wonderful staff. Clean, basic accommodations in a convenient location. Free parking just outside hotel. Hotel is walking distance to town center, shops, food, etc

Very interesting accommodation with nice service. The rooms and the whole place looks so vintage, that makes me fell in love with it immediately! The rooms are kind of a maze with very sweet paints on the walls around

We spent 2 nights here and wished it was more! The owners Paula her husband, and staff were warm, friendly and very efficient! The breakfast was by far the best we had encountered in our 2 month stay in Italy

My daughter and I have been planning our trip to Italy for well over a year. Upon arrival in Volterra, we come to find out accommodation is closed, no warning, no telephone calls

This was a fantastic stay. People were super nice and helpful. Room was clean and the roof was incredible to drink wine on. Can't ask for more. Central yet good rest.

Perfect location in Volterra! Breakfast was good, staff super-friendly and the garden is a very cozy place to hang out after a day walking around in the city.

Hotel is a bit dated but it has a great pool. Only warning is that there is a nasty hill climb required to get into town and there is no cab. It looked like there was a bus that goes up the hill top the center Volterre

Nice hotel on a very good location in Volterra / Tuscany. Great view on the hills from the pool. Breakfast and diner are fine. Hotel is a bit outdated and needs some new paint but nevertheless we had a pleasant stay.

If you want to stay in Volterra to explore the city this is a perfect place. Swimming pool is very nice and when temperature is so high it is a must! Rooms are clean and comfortable

They even cooked us a birthday cake when we celebrated :) The rooms are very nice, clean, breakfast is great, nice swimming pool. There is free parking and free WiFi

Besides, you always have that spectacular view when having breakfast. Upon arrival and during your stay, you will get information on what to do best, where and how in the region and the big places

Equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, free and excellent wifi in and outside the hotel, a modern beautifully designed bathroom, even special mattresses (that we did not need) on demand, you could not wish for more

As for the sightseeing you can visit the nearby medieval town of Volterra, which is 20 minutes by car, the city of Siena (1 hour by car), and if you want to go the sea, the nearest cozy sea town on the coast is Cecina (also is an 1 hour drive from villa)

View on Tuscan's hills and countryside is stunning. The pool is perfect. Breakfast is good. Very pleasant and peacefull place. Highly recomended.

It was a lovely stay at Agrihotel il Palagetto! The villa is located in a solitary area among the hills and olive gardens. From the terrace opens gorgeous views of the surroundings

It had the best views, and beautiful rooms and a fantastic family vibe to it! Worth the stay and close to travel around to must see cities/towns

It’s a rustic villa with all the charm of a family home compared to those that have turned into 5* resorts

Friendly and helpful young staff. The room is brand new (except for the fixtures), it does not have a minibar but it has a food warmer and two cups to drink herbal teas. Strategic location near the "customs" paid parking

When you take a shower you practically enlarge the whole bathroom and if you don't put towels on the door, the water floods the room! Hot water is a mirage although we have pointed out nothing has changed

The bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer and 6 dispensers containing shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, body cream and micellar water. The hair cap and the kit with cotton bud are not included

The hotel must have recently been refurbished, perhaps it lacked some furniture (such as bedside tables) but it looks very nice. Features the wall ceiling lights. Satisfied, we will definitely be back

Lovely peaceful place. In the hills a little below Volterra so you need a car but otherwise lovely rooms, beautiful scenery, kind staff. Can't fault it.

The room is equipped with an open fire place (not in use) and has a small table and a cupboard. In the bathroom a shower cell would be better than the curtain. Parking space is close and easy to reach

Very silent, about 20 minutes walking distance to Volterra. The Restaurant was closed in mid of May. Breakfast is tasty, however, we were the only guests besides one other couple

The pool is beautifully kept and the perfect place to enjoy those lazy sun filled days. It's also ideally located to explore the City of Volterra with its ancient ruins, 13th century buildings and alabaster stores

This is a working farm which produces a range of beautiful wines and olive oil. All of this is made from the experienced hands of Mario the owner. His wife Patricia looks after the guests and is the perfect host

The breakfasts are wonderfully presented, tasty and can be enjoyed whilst taking in the stunning views over the rolling Tuscan hills. If this wasn't enough the backdrop is the ancient wall of Volterra

There's an abundance of restaurants and bars a stone's throw away. You are also within one hours drive of some of Tuscany s great beaches, Florence, Pisa and Siena is only 40mins away

Amazing view of the surroundings and nearby Volterra and San Gimignano. Rooms are nice albeit a bit small but they each have a private terrace to have breakfast on.

Breakfast was delicious, view was also as advertised, excellent room! Car is a must have...only thing missing is dinner (wine) within walking distance!

The house is on a hilltop so you have a breathtaking view of the Tuscan landscape from all sides. We could watch the sunset and the sunrise too! The rooms were super clean and had a romantic atmosphere

From the moment we arrived we were delighted with everything. The welcome was warm, the accommodation is superb. Real hospitality, really wonderful pillows, Tea making facilites (so very rare in Italy) in room

Maybe this is obvious, but don’t try and drive directly here, aim for the car park nearby and whatever you do don’t drive through the walled city, unless you want a scratched car, a fine and the experience of old Italian men shaking their fist in your direction

Check in was a breeze as the lady at the front desk spoke amazing English and was very nice. As a side note - the best way to arrive is by car and to park at P1. I wouldn’t advise driving to the front door

It’s a 3-star hotel with 3-star prices. It’s spotlessly clean, the people are helpful and pleasant to deal with and the breakfast is more than you’d expect for somewhere at this price-point

Excellent and very recent hotel, perfectly located in the heart of Volterra. Kind personnel, you see how much they care about their guests. Rooms provide all comfort and are very spacious

The location is awesome - you’re steps from the famous 2,500 year old gate of Volterra and everything else. The breakfast was exceptionally hearty for a very small price

This was our second visit to this facility this year and again we were extremely satisfied with the location, service and value

Cleaning and maintenance are ok, but should be at a higher level considering the rating and price. The pool is located in another accomodation, 30 minutes away, and costs €10 per person

I don't mind at all that there is no TV or radio, but I did object that there was no soap in the bathroom and the towels are frankly second hand

Elisa is super friendly and provides a delicious - home made - breakfast. The room was beautiful and the bath tub is great for a romantic time. We had dinner in the restaurant of the little town and it was fantastic

If we return to Tuscany we would love to come back

We enjoyed a tasting menu in the evening prepared by Elisa, we truly felt like we were in a home from home - the food and wine were equally exceptional. Would highly recommend visiting

My wife and I stayed here a few days in the middle of our honeymoon. Elisa was very attentive to our needs. Amazing view, great hot tub and a nice space to just relax

Nice people and lovely quiet place. In the middle of the country side of Tuscany. Big private swimming pool, real asset to refresh yourself after visits and treks in the summer.

Incredible pool, clean grounds and accommodations, and very friendly family who know the area extremely well. Must try if interested in exploring the area.
