Located just within the walls, La Locanda was the perfect location for exploring Volterra. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. There is convenient parking close to the hotel.

Delightful old-style hotel. Nice spacious room, very spacious bathroom (by Italian standards), very comfortable bed and linens. WiFi worked well. Very nice continental breakfast (Anglo-Saxons please note - cooked breakfast items are extra!). Nice location, apart from the parking which, as in most Tuscan hilltop towns, is a complete bugger. We parked in the free parking where the camper vans park, and I went back with a driver whom the hotel arranged, to pick up the luggage. The cost was 25 Euros, which is what a paid parking lot would have cost, had I been able to find a space. My suggestion - follow the hotel's directions and advice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff who guided us on our brief trip to Volterra. The hotel is lovely and in a great location… within walking distance of everything you’d like to see on a trip to this beautiful place. Our rooms were also impeccably clean and lovely. It was an added bonus to have such a nice breakfast offered, as well as patio access.

This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, clean, tasteful and beautifully decorated. The welcome was wonderful and so helpful, we felt very well received. The location was perfect. The breakfast was utterly delicious, the best of the five hotels we stayed at in Tuscany. Don’t think twice, book this hotel, you will be delighted!!

Very good hotel, really good! Oksana speaks Russian at the reception and will do everything to make the rest worthy. Thank you so much for four days of pleasure, besides there was a terrace in the room, where you could calmly smoke and drink wine, and the linen was changed daily. The cleaning ladies, by the way, are also Russian-speaking.

The hotel has a very good location. Breakfast was brought to your room due to covid-19 with a lot of options to choose from. Staff was really kind and helpfull. The room ans bathroom were very spacious. Great hotel for a visit to Volterra.

A really great experience. We booked in the morning, arrived mid-morning and our room was ready. The front desk were very professional, big smiling faces and super helpful. The room and shower room were fabulous. Very clean, beautifully designed, high quality bed linen, soaps furnishings. We took a simple breakfast in our room, it arrived when scheduled, with Ginori china tea cups and a lovely fruit selection. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it. The owners also have a fantastic restaurant in Piazza dei Priori - Ristorante Etruria. Everything about it was great. Incredible ancient frescoes, fabulous service and very high quality food. Grazie.
